  1. Also remains to date the only system that hasn't sold once below original MSRP. I did get a couple free AES carts from a golf and arcade shop oh about 20 years ago, no idea where they are or what titles, probably shitty games.
  2. Found a few things at Salvation Army. There were about 20 PSP games and movies, nearly all of them without discs. I asked, they said they didn't keep the discs separate so it must have been stolen. I did claim Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, it was still sealed. $1.99 (and doubles my total PSP movie collection, my Tron PSP isn't lonely anymore). Also a sealed Super Mario Maker 3DS with old Target price tag of 14.something (was ripped up) and I got it for $7.99. I could try to return it and get $40 gift card or actually open it and play it to see what convoluted layout I've been missing. I also found what I thought was a square camera case among 20 or so camera cases, most of them with film cameras or empty. But I noticed Intec logo and I knew those were likely game case, not camera case. Opened it to see a near mint 001 SP, it appeared it didn't get much play time before it was abandoned by previous owner. Only $3.99. Doesn't power on so I'd have to charge it first, I have my own 101 in green shell. I didn't find matching adapter at Salvation Army though.
  3. Regardless of which Zelda game you decide to adapt, please do not include Navi type helper! There have been times when I want to shoot or blow up that annoying fairy. It may have been somewhat helpful the very first time playing but after 50th times, it's mind-numbing annoying.
  4. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 132177218043 Just.... what? Who would want the receipt for returning the discontinued system? And TBH that one is worthless for 2 other reason: no displayed price amount so no history, and thermal paper will fade over time and rarely retains anything past 3 months because of cheap chemical used. I've found 6 months old receipt that were almost impossible to read and haven't found anything readable from Meijer or Walmart after a year. I'd have to go back to when they still used ink system, not thermal system to find anything still readable.

    Power LED mod

Almost anywhere is fine, just make sure it is 5v and not 9v before the regulator as it may be always on between power port and power switch.
  6. It should be DE9 but too many use it as DB9 (and all other D-shell connectors as DB instead. DA-15, DB-25, DC-37, DD-50, and DE-9. VGA port is technically DE-15 and not something like HD-15 or HDB-15
  7. If it's behaving the same with different controller, it could be the buffer chip has failed (U6 for right port or U7 for left port) http://www.freeinfosociety.com/electronics/schemview.php?id=2405has schematic that could help you troubleshoot.
  8. The only mod needed is to install the switch outside the case for easy access. The chips themselves do not need any mod or work to install, just pop the original chips, put it somewhere for safekeeping (I taped mine inside on top of the cart metal shield) so it's there if I needed to go back to stock. I put the switch on the front for easy access since 128D is fairly big and not everyone is comfortable with drilling metal. Another mod is to install a fan. The 128D metal box has a spot and a place on power supply board for fan power but Commodore left them out to save about $3 per 128D they sold. It is optional but it'll help a lot. Third mod to consider is to either install ID switch or disk disable switch for the internal 1571 so you could use SD2IEC or other SD card drive on ID 8.
  9. I've had dream like that a few times. I can remember one in particular: I was onboard a large cargo type ship that was filled to the brim with dumped game consoles and stuff and I was the only one gathering them all.
  10. if only it wasn't in piss yellow color. Or $750 on eBay
  11. You remember to plug the speaker back in?
  12. Probably thought it was an old CD player or they would have put it on Shopgoodwill site or eBay for a lot more.
  13. So who all are in Michigan for M-15 yard sale run? Starts next week

  14. Maybe Nintendo Power? At least 2 issues had Soul Calibur on the cover. There's also Video Games (originally VG&CE), GamePro, and maybe 1 other regular magazine published that covered gaming in general.
  15. TBH it's not worth the save feature once you get a good map and walkthrough. Entire Goonies II could be finished in just a couple hours. Early NES games like Goonies II and Rygar seemed long at first but becomes short and easy when you figure it out.
  16. Did I miss a game or do you have a rare typo label game? I only know of Valley of Doom, not Volley of Doom.
  17. Official Nintendo guide has the full map with almost everything detailed, only the very last secret route to free the mermaid wasn't in the map. It was a fun game and had good graphic for the time with many varied scenes and many secrets to keep track. Funcoland price guide used to have original Goonies for NES listed even though it was never released in USA. Only Famicom version exists and it's much easier than Goonies II without map.
  18. Devil Crush alone is worth a lot more than $40, Basically you bought that one half off and got the rest for free.
  19. I heard something about VB mini. All USA and Japanese games, much smaller and lighter than original VB and can be worn like a real portable system. Still has the same red only image. Added new feature: auto pause every 15 minutes, and can't be resumed unless you take it off for 5 minutes
  20. When there's a great VGA capable VIC replacement, I'm going to upgrade my SX64. The tiny 5" CRT is fine but if I wanted to hook it to a regular display, VGA out instead of usual composite or S-Video would be nice.
  21. SNES portable clone (not 100% accurate but very good) and SNES flash cart... I doubt I'd jump on an official Nintendo product that is locked to 30 games. Zelda and Super Metroid, maybe Mario RPG but a lot of SNES games that I like aren't by Nintendo and I doubt it'd be made available on SNES mini.
  22. Unfinished. It is missing the bun, cheese, onions, and mustard to complete it. Naked hot dog are just bleh.
  23. When it's your turn, PM will be sent with payment info. You pay and he will send you the cart.
  24. Are you on the right channel? In USA it's channel 3 or 4 and has to be analog on TV that still supports analog RF. If you already checked that and you already tried different RF cable, it's possible that internally component has worn out or had drifted frequency requiring adjustment. If the AV works, just use that. RF is really crappy to begin with and aren't supported on newer TVs.
