Why, oh why, do they always have to mount laptop power jacks to the mainboard? Why not to the case and use wire to the board?

  I just had to repair another laptop. The stress of the plug on the jack caused a solder joint to go bad. So... just reflow the solder right? Ah, yeah, after having to disassemble nearly the ENTIRE laptop!
