  1. I just received a NTSC Obelix in the mail today, great addition to the collection!

I've never heard of that system.

Obelix is an Atari 2600 Game.

  2. Actually, I was the winner of the one for $40 and it just arrived in the mail today. I tested it and it's 100% NTSC so that's good. The label is in pretty nice shape so I'm happy with the purchase. I was just wondering if you guys thought it was too much or about right. I've been wanting Obelix for quite a while but they don't show up on ebay very often, like you said. And, I know that you have to be careful about who you are buying it from and if they clearly state that it's NTSC or PAL. The gameplay isn't the greatest but it's a nice addition to the "rare" part of my 2600 collection.
  3. LOL, I agree, I was in line for 18 hours for the Wii on launch day. I'd also like to wait and see about it before deciding if it's something for me, I'm just not super excited from what I've seen/heard so far. The price will also have something to do with my decision. With four TV's and two Wii's in the house, I don't have the problem of someone wanting to watch TV while playing the Wii.

  5. http://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/wii-u-know-far-230549080.html I'm a huge Nintendo fan with two Wii systems, a 3DS for myself and a 3DS for my son but I'm not sure I'm sold on this Wii U thing. What do you guys think?
  6. I'm sure you had to really search those out, you said those games went for that "on a regular basis". I just looked at the last five that sold. I'm sure the lot was a good deal and I know how much Bubble Bobble 2 is worth but it's simply not true that the other games are sold for those prices on a regular basis.
  7. OK, I just looked at the completed auctions for Dr. Mario that you say is worth $10 on a regular basis. Here are the prices for the last five that have sold on ebay: $2.75 $4.50 $1.04 $0.99 $0.99 How about Zelda II that is "worth $15", here are the last five that have sold on ebay: $6.51 $4.26 $6.95 $9.50 $7.95 Maybe the "$20" Bubble Bobble is where it's at, here are the last five of those that sold on ebay: $9.50 $12.99 (free shipping) $12.99 (free shipping) $12.00 (with the manual!) $14.00 (with the manual and free shipping!) Here's an auction that just ended hours ago that has three games from your list with your value of $40, went for $15.61: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110803716514 I'm really not sure where you get your prices but it's not the ebay I'm looking at.
  8. Is $40 too high for a NTSC Obelix? I remember when it was a rarity 10 here on AtariAge but see it's been downgraded to a 7. While I agree it shouldn't be a 10, I think it's harder to find than other games in the R7 category like Atari Video Cube, Polaris, Wall Ball that show up on ebay all the time. Atari2600.com states they are paying $54 for Obelix and was curious what they sell them for but it doesn't look like they have any for sale. I think it should be more like a R8 but just my opinion. I see one on ebay right now for $50 but it has no end label which is a big turn off for me and most other collectors I would guess.
  9. You have some nice games with that N64! That's funny someone tried to get you to sell it to them for 60 bucks, I saw your answer to that. I threw a low bid on it just now but was immediately outbid. Good luck with your sales!
  10. Wow, that coat is up to $162.50 and you just listed it! I don't know anything about coats but that must be a good one, how much would a new one be?
  11. I must live closer or something, shipping shows as $17.85 to me. I don't understand why someone would be charging that much to send one Atari cartridge. I also sent the seller a message asking how they know this is an Atlantis II cartridge. I'll post the reply if I get one.
  12. If you offer free shipping, you aren't getting the prices that you quoted. Also, if you are selling them on ebay, you have the crazy final value fee and then the paypal fees. Sorry but I think your prices are way off, Shawn Sr.'s are a bit more realistic.
  13. Yeah, that is a pretty nice looking label. Qubes is hard to find as it is but when you do, the label isn't always the best. You have a really nice example there. I'd be interested but spent my "Atari Allowance" on a Shootin' Gallery and an Obelix recently. Good luck with the sale, you may want to post it for sale in the Marketplace here at AA. http://www.atariage.com/forums/forum/6-marketplace/ Also, if you have any feedback on ebay or references from other sites, you should link those...that would greatly help your sale.
  14. Cool man, glad it worked out for you. You're right, sometimes Best Offer does work out. It doesn't hurt to try, all they can do is decline it, you have nothing to lose! As an ebay seller, sometimes I take Best Offers, usually not half of what I'm asking but I am willing to consider reasonable offers.
  15. Not really, they are pretty common titles. Summer Games, Ace of Aces and Mat Mania are about the best in that lot.
  16. If the auction doesn't sell, maybe do a Buy It Now and add Best Offer to it. That way buyer's can make you an offer and you can either accept, decline or even counteroffer. Just an idea.
