  1. I am going to have to respectfully disagree. Believe it or not the prices I quoted are realistic and the items sell for that price at Ebay on a regular basis without free shipping.

Granted, it will take time but if you are not in a rush this BB2 has great potential. Just look at completed listings for the items in question to discover that I'm right about this.

I would have bid on this lot for a chance to get BB2 virtually for free. IMO this BB2 lot was a steal.

OK, I just looked at the completed auctions for Dr. Mario that you say is worth $10 on a regular basis. Here are the prices for the last five that have sold on ebay:

    $2.75

    $4.50

    $1.04

    $0.99

    $0.99

How about Zelda II that is "worth $15", here are the last five that have sold on ebay:

    $6.51

    $4.26

    $6.95

    $9.50

    $7.95

Maybe the "$20" Bubble Bobble is where it's at, here are the last five of those that sold on ebay:

    $9.50

    $12.99 (free shipping)

    $12.99 (free shipping)

    $12.00 (with the manual!)

$14.00 (with the manual and free shipping!)

Here's an auction that just ended hours ago that has three games from your list with your value of $40, went for $15.61:

eBay Auction -- Item Number: 1108037165141?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=110803716514&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

I'm really not sure where you get your prices but it's not the ebay I'm looking at.

  2. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 1107998475181?ff3=2&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&item=110799847518&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]

Does this end label look like the real deal to you? Something seems off about it, I don't know. What do you think?

Is $40 too high for a NTSC Obelix? I remember when it was a rarity 10 here on AtariAge but see it's been downgraded to a 7. While I agree it shouldn't be a 10, I think it's harder to find than other games in the R7 category like Atari Video Cube, Polaris, Wall Ball that show up on ebay all the time. Atari2600.com states they are paying $54 for Obelix and was curious what they sell them for but it doesn't look like they have any for sale. I think it should be more like a R8 but just my opinion.

I see one on ebay right now for $50 but it has no end label which is a big turn off for me and most other collectors I would guess.

  3. Did anyone see that the shipping is $19.85!!!

I must live closer or something, shipping shows as $17.85 to me. I don't understand why someone would be charging that much to send one Atari cartridge.

I also sent the seller a message asking how they know this is an Atlantis II cartridge. I'll post the reply if I get one.

  4. Yeah, that is a pretty nice looking label. Qubes is hard to find as it is but when you do, the label isn't always the best. You have a really nice example there.

I'd be interested but spent my "Atari Allowance" on a Shootin' Gallery and an Obelix recently. Good luck with the sale, you may want to post it for sale in the Marketplace here at AA.

Also, if you have any feedback on ebay or references from other sites, you should link those...that would greatly help your sale.

  5. UPDATE:

What do you know, my offer was accepeted. Cool!

I paid a additional $5 to have it sent by USPS Priorty so the grand total was $35.

I liked how the seller gave five different shipping options depending on how much I wanted to pay and get the item and how he was very quick to confirm payment.

Yes, it's not the best condition of the book, but considering how much it goes for, I'm happy. I can tape the damaged cover back into place.

So, moral of the story, making a Best Offer sometimes DOES work! :-D

Cool man, glad it worked out for you. You're right, sometimes Best Offer does work out. It doesn't hurt to try, all they can do is decline it, you have nothing to lose!

As an ebay seller, sometimes I take Best Offers, usually not half of what I'm asking but I am willing to consider reasonable offers.

  6. I've been told that the link I gave above doesn't work. I think I can get the pics to you if you PM me your email address. Or, just contact the seller and ask if they have pics of WaterWorld and Glib. They have already taken them so it should be easy to send them to you. Hope this helps anyone looking to win this one.

  7. I got some pics from the seller and am going to try to link to them for you guys. The Glib cart looks like it has a screw showing, WaterWorld looks pretty good. If the link doesn't work, just message me with your email and I will forward what the seller sent me. I hope this helps.

I'd be interested in this lot but I don't like the hole in the Glib cart and the shipping is too high for me. It would be close to $300 for me to just put the next bid on it.

Good luck if you're going for this! :)
