Is it just me or are the Konami games a little more difficult to get to work on the 7800. I have Pooyan and Marine Wars, I had to adjust them a little. Maybe it's just my carts, but I hope not.
-
Check this out, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...egory=3528&rd=1 I just got Pooyan with the instructions in the mail and I don't know if you guys/gals seen this seller before but there was the name "R.O.B." in pen on just about every cart they had but I needed this one and thought old Rob might have skipped this one or said the hell with it since it is a rather dark label. No sir, the end part of the label is white and that's right where he has it. The instructions however are in good to very good condition and other than the marking on the cart, all is well. Pooyan still has a welcome place in my collection. That's 2 Konami's for me now with my Marine Wars cart only. CPU? You have some Konami's laying around ready for donation to my charity, right?

Galaga - What's your High Score or Level?
SpendTooMuchOnAtari replied to SpendTooMuchOnAtari's topic in Atari 7800
Forget this project on Novice. I am on level 4 now which is actually 104 and I'm tired. 913090 is the score. I guess I will go to a cool million to see what happens. Probably just one more 1. Expert is next. Yep.....I'm done and it didn't roll over at a million, the screen has enough room for that but not for levels over 100. Time for me to get to work on eBay a little bit and maybe clean up the hell-hole the kids made for me. -
WTB: Once Upon Atari DVD
SpendTooMuchOnAtari replied to starfighter1314's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Autographed by whom? By Sku of course. A DVD at retail price: $50.00 S&H: $Unknown That same DVD autographed by Sku: Priceless. -
Hi! I think I am on the easiest novice setting so that is why I am still playing but this game rocks and am just wondering what your high score is on novice. I have been playing now for awhile and have it on Pause. I am on Level 56 with 488590 points and 4 ships in reserve. I had to give my hand a little break. Really fun game and a good conversion from the coin-op in my opinion.

Ditto..... me too! No, really I did see the price and it is quite high on the website. I wonder if the DVD is any good? -
I didn't realize it makes a big difference but when you are talking about hundreds of thousands and/or millions of copies, I see how it could impact the profit margin. I was just going through all of my instructions tonight and was looking at the variations I have. I like to have both the B&W and the regular on the manuals and sometimes they look completely different. Like I have an Activision Dolphin that is very plain looking. And, the white Atari boxes that I have seen are crazy, can you imagine seeing that hanging at the toy store. Not very attractive. The blue labels seem to usually be in poor condition but I guess all the Activision's have label problems. Froggo seems to have about the best labels but the worst games.

Just wondering if you think Activision, Atari, Imagic, ETC... really saved that much money by printing the instructions in B&W and the blue labels that some did. I know nothing about printing or stuff like that but it is interesting how they did that. I can't think of companies that did this sort of thing other than for the Atari but I don't know.

If they pay

I'm lucky if my wife plays with me....let alone plays video games with me.

Great! Thanks a lot! Maybe it is authentic then, I have not seen one of these on eBay before. I must say that if it is real and in good shape, the price was right. The Waterworld shirt would be really cool.....if it exists.

So, are the bids a joke too. That was my point, the people who are bidding on this....the last I saw the auction was over 5 dollars! People are funny!
-
Sorry, I didn't see that this was already somewhere else. I am usually a day late and a dollar short.
-
Yeah but what about the people bidding on it? Wonder where they are from?
-
Hey! I know I just posted a thread here but I have a question about an auction. I just won this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=15686 and am wondering where it came from, how did people get it? It does have a copyright on it and ATARI CLUB but since no one else was really bidding on it, now I am wondering why. Perhaps everyone knows this is a "fake" or something like that. Maybe, these are common. I won it already so I guess it doesn't matter much now but if anyone knows anything about it, let me know. Thanks!!

What is the worst videogame ever made?
SpendTooMuchOnAtari replied to sku_u's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I remember buying URBAN CHAMPION for the NES when I was little....what a disappointment that was. -
Hey, I was just thinking of all the crazy companies that made 2600 games and the labels. Just wondering what everyone's favorite label is on a 2600 game. I like the Zellers Pinball game although King Kong by Tigervision is pretty cool.
-
Is OUT OF CONTROL really worth that much? Maybe I am missing something, that would not be unusual. I am usually clueless but this seemed to go quite high.
-
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...5&since=-1&rd=1 The reason the red labels are no longer available is because they are the only one's that I really care about and the offers I was receiving were less than reasonable. Anyway, I just decided to list them on eBay. You can check them out here and scroll through my other crap....they are near the end. Sorry but people were offering less than 2 dollars each for these....boxed Double Dunk, New Crossbow, I just can't do it. Check out my auctions if you like. I am open to offers on any of the other stuff because they are all untested with the exception of the QIX game.
-
Yeah, I don't think that they made any changes to the game. You really think they were still making the game at the end of September when the release date was 10-15? I don't think so. Actually, that is ridiculous. They have to package the game, box them up, get them shipped off and so on.... Not a chance!

Hi boys and girls! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4&category=3528 Just wondering what everyone thinks about the rarity and price of this game. I am curious if I got a deal on the game at $40 BIN Complete or if that was a little high. I already paid and have the game but have not seen one to compare to in this condition. I hit the BIN button so quick....then I wondered, "was that a good deal or not". ALSO, the game I got was luckily in the NTSC format but what is the physical differences in the PAL and NTSC Xenophobe aside from what's inside the cart. I mean the box, instructions, label. Are these exactly the same?
