Mhmm, I was going for the idea of just one port for each. I figured digital coax would be a way to go, but I can't locate any that also converts coax to optical, which I don't want (also is powered/wireless/etc). composite would be ok, but the issue is space (due to the amount of inputs and outputs). Even pointing me to a digital coax switchbox might be handy, lest I just go with making one.

Here's my problem: I'm an old-school collector, not modding any of my systems to have Composite out (unless it was an option). I have 6 systems that use the old-style RCA coax to output the signal to channel 3. Right now, I'm using a monster coax switch system that allows all the systems to output to TV (with an adapter from RCA to 75 ohm coax). My issue? I want to eliminate the adapters connecting to the switch, and run RCA to RCA, with only the coax going to the TV. I find many "composite" switches all over the place, but I would prefer a single RCA cable switch (as in one cable per connection) as the other ports would be redundant and only clutter the space. Only connector like this I found on ebay but... well, I totally hate its setup: My issue is it can't be stacked, due to the clickers being on top. Can anyone help with a better alternative? Any help is much appreciated.

Agreed, my money awaits to be spent, but like all fine wines, one must be patient!

I have one for almost every one of my systems. I'm missing Intellivision, Atari 7800, Jaguar, Both Neo Geos, and my portables.

I soo want this device. I'm trying to collect multicarts, and would love this.

With all these mods coming out, it is a surprise no one has tried to sell a GameGear/Lynx home unit.

So I need to ask.... where can we acquire such a treasure? I'd be happy to purchase.

Phantasy Star IV: The Return of Alis (unreleased)
Shilar replied to airraid's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Allright. Basically in the fight with Dark falz, if you can keep Alis alive, you skip a scene and go directly to the normal ending. If (or when depending on your point of view) Alis dies in the battle, yet you still defeat Dark Falz (I had loaded up on a LOT of healing items), there is something similar to an easter egg, where the gods speak out and res Alis after the battle's over. I only discovered it on accident, but the key to this easter egg ending is to have Alis die in the final battle, yet still defeat Dark Falz. -
Consoles you just can't get excited about

Well, more like I meant playing the normal Amiga games on the CDTV/CD32, via CD-rom. Those are pc conversions of the Amiga titles. -
I was rummaging around looking for some ideas, and had an apiphany. Most of us have HDTVs or converter boxes, and thought "why is there not a way to take full advantage of an HDTV channel, by making a switch that relies on seperate channels vs the old push switch for same?" Basically, looking for a way to possibly redirected my old retro game systems to where instead of all at the same channel and relying on the old switchbox method (I have 6 classic systems and a custom switchbox), can have all the systems hooked to a unit that actually makes each system its own channel. Instead of Channel 3/4 for all systems, Atari 2600 can be on 3-1, Odyssey2 on 3-2, Coleco on 3-3. No need to fully upconvert, just make the channels your switches.

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread

I remember going to a flea market, and went into the sunny (and hot) back 40.... and found a Vectrex, with a few carts and controller... for $20! It still worked, though had to get a new refurb controller, but the games worked! -

My personal "meh" systems: Most older "rare" systems: Sure, cool idea and a few games I like, but I can get most of these games on other systems. PS4/XBO: Again, lost interest due to lack of quality games I can't play elsewhere. 3DO: While there is one game I play on this, usually it's a couple of hours, and back to the PC. SNES: Wait, I'm saying sacrilage? Yes, the SNES was colorful, but, mainly due to Nintendo's censorship, games I would play were either on other systems, or looked better. Sega 32X: Short-lived add-on, and too few games. Atari 5200: Controllers wear out too fast even compared to the Inty and the Coleco. Amiga CDTV/CD32: Cool idea, horrible implementation. Make it possible to convert Amiga games over, and maybe... -
Phantasy Star IV: The Return of Alis (unreleased)

The beauty of the PS franchise was they were the first in a lot of things. PS1: First full-scale console RPG independent of slated rpg systems (ie D&D). First to have multiple endings (ok, 2, and you had to have Alis die in the boss battle, but keep one member alive...). First console 3-D dungeon crawling PS2: First 16-bit RPG, first really tragic event mid-story PS3: First massive-scale RPG with more than a couple of endings. PS4: First to use a combining system for spellcasting/skillcasting. PSO: First ONLINE console RPG. As far as PS4 being on a CD, it'd have been cool, but I still love the PS4 they did produce... and yes, Alis is in PS4 (as is Noah) -
I know I am excited, and this will almost complete my collection of multicarts!
