Newer version: Features a titlescreen. Move the joystick down to start.

When the timer reaches 0 you lose a shot. You lose 1 shot when missing a duck too. Lose 3 shots and a mallard pops up out of the grass, laughing and flipping you the bird.

The hunter is now present too.

The ducks fall down when shot.

Latest version: Huge improvement in my book. Push the joystick down at the titlescreen too begin.

Well, I've done a little twist on the dog. When you lose all your shots a duck comes up from the grass and flips you the bird, laughing as he sinks back into the grass to hide. This is turning out to be a pretty good game. I'm glad I got some thoughts on the game so I could improve it =)

Updated version of Mallard hunt with the hunter and the ducks fall from the sky when shot. Maybe I should incorporate the dog too? Hm... But first, the shot effect or else I'll go overboard and add tons of stuff XD

We have come full circle, haha.

I'm working on an update that feature;

A hunter at the bottom of the screen.

Falling ducks when you shoot them.

A flash for when you hit the ducks.

Hm, not sure I quite follow on the shotgun simulation. Do you mean having small bullets fly out of the barrel?

I could do a white flash like on the NES when you fire.

Good suggestions. This is what it'll look like with the hunter. Adding paddlecontrolls are a bit hard, would it help if I made the crosshair bigger or do you find the joystick controllers to be wonky overall?

A simple clone of Duckhunt. Move the crosshair with the joystick and press the button to fire. Miss 3 times and the game is over. Move the joystick down to start over. Everything you liked about the original game, minus the annoying dog.

Good news everyone. I finisged a few days early!

I hope you'll enjoy this game. I think it's alot of fun. It's super challenging despite being very simple.

Controls:

Press the button to start the game and squat with the weights.

When the game is over move the joystick down to try again.

Objective:

Do as many squats as possible! There is an announcer talking about you, each 100 score point you get makes the announcer progress in his announcements and resets the timer. Will you be the greatest russian sportsman in history?

There are 4 easter eggs hidden in the game, can you find them?

Fun gameplay update:

Find the dragon in the dark, but wait, you can't kill it yet. You still have to find the 4 artifacts, once you've found them you can kill the dragon. Also, don't starve in the dungeon! Each step makes you hungrier and hungrier.

I'm trying out different new features for my Dragons & dungeons game and I have an idea about collecting 3 items before being able to kill the dragon so I'm wondering if I can have 3 different icons for the extra lives for player0? Like the first being a sword, the second a grail and the 3rd a shield?

Sounds great! Is there a visual batar basic for the 7800 or do I have to work with a stanndard batari basic only? If so, is there a recommended guide for batari basic? I've only worked with visual batari basic.

Thanks to Random Terrain everything is working perfectly now. I'm currently filling the game with new features.

I've successfully added text messages that says different things if you win or if you die. You can be eaten alive by the dragon, you can starve to death and you can fall into pits and die.

I'm trying out some new ways too lay down traps. I'm thinking of having a random chance that unexplored areas are traps, but you get points for exploring so it's a small risk. We'll see what fun things the next version will have.

Well, I have 4 more projects I'm going to do for the Atari 2600. After them I'm really thinking of jumping over too the 7800 and I'm wondering. How similar is the basic language? What are the differences in dialects?

Aha, I had not doubleklicked the doubleklick.bas. But now when I do I get a request to set what program to open it with what do I choose?
