Where can I find them and how much would you pay for one? I looked on Ebay but it comes up as "Painting and Drawing"

What Atari Xmas gift did you buy yourself:)
chairmonkey4406 replied to povlok1's topic in Atari 2600
I bought 6 activision games and 7 other games on ebay. It's cool to me because me and my friend are having a race to see who can get the most complete activision collection. I started collecting them first but then he started and it all sprang from there. I currently have 17 and he has 4 Also, were trying to see who will get a Mystique game first (PM me please if your willing to sell one) -
I never knew anyone could hold a joystick that way. Is there an invisible hand that handles the fire button? me niether..... **goes and checks** WOW! YOU ACTUALLY CAN HOLD IT LIKE A PENCIL!! amazing...now to see if you can hold it like a pen! ahah!

maybe a screen showing the plane crashing into the world trade centers with sort of sad music playing. then it says : atari never forgets

I'm wondering about the Gameline Modem. What is it? When did it come out? Where can I find pictures? Thanks
-
Do you hold it like the guys in the first Activision catalog (thumb on top of the stick) or do you grip the whole thing with your entire hand? Perhaps you simply make your hand a ball and grip the top of the joystick? For me its the latter. It's just the most comfortable.

This may sound weird but, for those of you that have played Vice City, you've probably heard the degenetron ads on the radio. Well I found a site that emulates all three games from the fictional system. (www.degenetron.com). I'm thinking that I build a simple computer based system that looks like its from the 80's. Make the emulator start on startup and use one of those 2600 computer joysticks as the controller. Think it's a good idea?

Are there any true RPGs for the 2600?
chairmonkey4406 replied to chairmonkey4406's topic in Atari 2600
I always thought combat was an rpg -
Just like a fuji, or a 2600 or a joystick or something. Does anyone know where? I've looked everywhere.

Someone should make some of the games from the Game and Watch Series on the 2600! I think it would work because of such simple LCD graphics. I have no programming skills whatsoever so I'm wondering if anybody would be willing to do that as theyre next project.

I'm just wondering because I keep hearing all these RPG like titles around this board like "Midnight Magic" "Quest" and others.

What got you back into Atari? Lets here your stories.
chairmonkey4406 replied to MidnightSun's topic in Atari 2600
I just got into atari in 2000. I had an Intellivision and NES my whole life, and I knew how much more fun they were than the newer systems. It's not until my discovery of a little place on the internet called EBAY, and not until I got good at bidding that I won my 2600. Been hooked up ever since. -
My friend and I are having a huge feud over the stupidest thing, whose atari fuji looks better! He doesn't even own any atari systems and he's really stupid so tell me which one you think looks better. Mine: [/size])|( or His: J|L Thanks.

Kaboom definately. As well as Pong (Video Olympics). Also, though it's not really a game, I can zoom out playing video graffiti on my surround cart. Thats a really fun thing to do!
-
pac man is a must NOT. Armor Ambush, basically any M Network game, HERO, Enduro, Space Shuttle, (now that I think of it, pretty much any Activision game) Video Olympics, Surround, and I think Quadrun would be pretty easy to track down
-
Especially NES and SNES, as well as Genesis and all the others. Thanks. Also, how would I play emulated games on my dreamcast? If anyone could explain this to me I would be very happy. Thanks again.

Genesis Super Mario World!

Hey, I just bought a Lynx, and I was wondering if there are any good RPGs on the system? Thanks
-
I want one depending on the cost. How much?
-
cool, cool. There's one on EBAY for $.01 right now. I just might buy it...
-
Awesome! Is the NES one any good/possible to get a hold of? That's the only one of those that I have.
