  1. I am looking for a "reasonably priced" (i.e. non-ebay) Robotron for the 5200 with the dual controller holder. I would even buy the controller holder by itself if anyone has one available to sell. PM me if you have one. Thank you.
  2. Thank you that's good to know. I might splurge and buy one of their refurbed controllers.
  3. I would love a good translation of Gauntlet on the 5200!
  4. You should be covered by your credit card company. I hope you get your money back. Good luck.
  5. Interesting. It might be because the transaction occurred before they changed the policy. I would definitely contact them though since they did change it recently.
  6. They also offer "Gold" component modded 5200 controllers. I am very interested to hear if anyone had bought these if they are an improvement and worth the upgrade.
  7. Used to be. Now it's 180. They changed it a few months ago.
  8. Does anybody know if the AC power supply that came with either the CV or INTV flashback are the same and will work on either system? I have both and the power supplies look identical I just want to be sure it's safe to share the same power supply for both without the risk of frying one.
  9. I understand that from a business perspective but from a consumer perspective most people who can only obtain the regular version at retail are paying more for less and essentially getting cheated out of the extra games/overlays. Like I said, I got mine for HALF the cost of other retailers with a bonus game. I wouldn't pay $40 for the 60 game FB.
  10. The Costco version of the INTV FB came with additional exclusive overlays which is just nonsense when they should have included all of them with every FB. I got mine from Dollar General for $20 because it came with the bonus game but really the exclusive marketing just stinks. Either include everything or don't bother.
  11. Wow! The difference in quality between composite and RGB is night and day! I just did the composite mod myself today but that looks incredible!
  12. I get that but personally I just can't see dropping that kind of cash for a 35 year old game system cart that was never officially released or licensed. I think it's neat that they are making them for it but I wouldn't pay hundreds of dollars for a game no matter its rarity. I'm just not that desperate to have it.
  13. I see that some sellers are selling Homebrews and passing them off as "Rare" for 3 times the price they sold for. Yes, they are "rare" but paying $150 per game?
  14. Long time Colecovision gamer since 1982 but new to the "Homebrew" scene. Just went to purchase Galaga and saw that it required the SGM and went looking for it and it brought me to this thread where I see that this Eduardo took a lot of peoples' money and ran. It's a real shame to see this happen as I have seen this kind of thing happen before on so many other forums. It really makes me hesitant to pre-order anything that requires payment upfront for goods or services not yet deliverable. Paypal has 180 days to file a claim and some have been waiting over 2 years with no chance of getting their money back. I really hope someone makes the SGM available again for the retro gaming community but I wouldn't pay for anything until they are already available for shipping or with a low minimum deposit like $10 or something financially fairly reasonable.

  16. Unfortunately I do not have a VCR as I got rid of those about a decade ago LOL so I'd have to use a DV converter as an RF demodulator which is the least expensive solution but even a composite RCA DIY mod would help. If Yurkie had a DIY kit for a reasonable price, I'd definitely go that route. While his mods for Pause and controller knobs are well done, I don't really need them. Maybe if he offers a flat rate RGB install for less I might consider it but it means having to send him my unit which I am always leary about sending out especially after Microsuck nearly lost my Xbox when I sent it to them for servicing. I'd prefer a simple DIY kit but I understand his reasons for not offering them as it's a PITA for him to make all the cables.
  17. But... Component video IS RGB not Composite. I know Yurkie has a single mini din connector for RGB component going out in his mod.
  18. Here's my dillema: If I plug my CV into my LCD via RF, I have to switch the source to the TV Ch. 3 input and I don't get audio to my receiver and I have to turn up the TV volume which is annoying. My Yamaha receiver does not have an RF input so my only options are to go RCA composite, RGB or HDMI. I can get a DIY composite mod off ebay for $23 which looks fairly easy to do soldering 4 wires to the PCB but why even go that route when RGB is better but Yurkie has said he is not offering DIY RGB kits and his mod is only for use with the prohibitively expensive Framemeister or his $40 HD converter which essentially does the same thing that the $28 digital converter from Walmart does but the best I'll be able to get from that will be to go with the RCA component video DIY mod. Basically, I'd just be using the digital converter as a cheap RF demodulator to pass the signal through to my receiver input so I can get sound through my external receiver speakers anyway and not the TV. Right now I have it going RF to my LCD and the TV scales the video just fine, it just looks a bit fuzzy as expected from an analog RF signal and I would expect the video to look about the same through the digital converter without doing any other mods. I have seen a couple of RGB modded systems on ebay but I remember one of them had a problem with the chroma looking too bluish so that was an easy pass for me. All I am interested in is getting an RGB mod for my Coleco and not the controller mods, pause button, LED power switch or any other mods.
  19. Wow that Framemeister is too expensive for my blood. I was wondering if anyone has tried using a digital RF converter to output a Colecovision via HDMI. I can get one at Walmart for $28. It has both HDMI and RCA composite video out and RF in.
  20. Has anybody hacked the Flashback and loaded it with all of the original ROMS? NVM I guess somebody already has! http://atariage.com/forums/topic/232505-colecovision-flashback-with-alternate-games/
