I still use my first Sunnyvale 2600, it seems to output the sharpest picture.

Combat came with our first 2600, a Sunnyvale 6-switch. I think the first game we bought separately was Air Sea Battle.

Excellent, I would like to see them too.

The "wink and nod" is still with us. The version of WinXP on my new laptop is "Build 2600"

Randy,
My favorite one so far! In color too!
Thanks,

Atari70's
Marauder is a great game, take the time to play it awhile. It's also rare enough to be a great find. I've only found one Marauder in the wild.
I only found a bizarre assortment of Atari items today. The highlight was a Sumcom Tac II joystick, I never had one before.

Some people don't get it. That's the only way you can really sum it up. The 2600 is like the Ramones that way, or Monty Python, or Star Wars. If you have to ask, you'll never know; that kinda thang.CF
Chris,
One of my biggest joys in life is thrashing out Ramones songs on my guitar. The faster the better. It's a shame about Dee Dee, what a waste.
Of course my video games are important too.

I think hacks are an important part of the Atari community. Some of them, like A Better Pac-Man and Paul's amazing music added games to mention a couple are worth buying. I know there are more. Pac-Invaders (which I started in 1998) was just me playing around with the source code of coke wins to see how hard it would be to come up with a 2600 game and make the carts. I had actually intended to do a lot more with the game, but the few people I showed it to convinced me to release it as is. I sold around 23 copies of it and Randy sold more at Hozer. (I sold them at my cost, I sell enough other used games for profit.)
I started experimenting with the 2600 and ended up making a (hopefully) decent game out of a relatively lame one. I think that was worthwhile. I have learned a lot about the workings of the 2600 and hope to find the time for an original game. I do have an update to Pac-Invaders in the works, with more orginal code and same new features.

I use my webpage for the 3 Atari consoles and the Colecovision. I have an excel spreadsheet for NES. I have not recorded the other systems yet. I have a lot of SNES and PSX games, I think I'll be surprised when I catalog them.

Canada is an NTSC country, they should be.
It's Canada Day, break out the Zeller's games.

I'll find out in a few days, The Goat Store just shipped my copy of Mr. Roboto.
I thought Combat Rock was awesome, I still play it. (IMHO Combat rock was a better song.)

Randy,
I enjoy your comics too, thanks for doing them.

I was #95 for the 2600.

Paul,
It looks like a lot of fun, is it possible to reserve one?

Your joystick is glowing with a faint blue glow.

You are standing in front of a white building. 1265 is displayed near the boarded over glass doors. You can see a mailbox from here.

I like the original Atari stick best, but they are fragile. I mostly use the virtually indestructible Suncom Slik Stik. They seem to be plentiful in the wild too.

We do our best to make sure nobody is pleased.
LOL! That made my day.

Without label variations, 465 for the 2600. Now I need to inventory the other systems.

Paul,
As usual, a first rate effort! I started the bidding on one.

The Cuttle Cart is a wonderful contraption. I use it with playbin and my laptop. I would have to be in bad need of cash and sell off a lot of other stuff before I ever gave it up.
It's an awesome development tool too.

Didn't I see this in a Dilbert comic?

There is a reference to the buried E.T. games on the Urban Legends website at Atari buries E.T. It even names the city they are buried in.

I'm always hesitant to answer price questions, but I've seen a few of these sell on Ebay. In the box with all the accessories a 2600 Jr. usually sells for around $45 - $50.
