  1. No one? Will soon try to replace the RAM, did anybody try to cut the legs and just solder the ram on top of the old legs instead of desolder the chips?
  2. Ok, I did not get that it was the a special version of Zaxxon, so I guees no I do not have any way to try out if the black screen is faulty memory or anything else. Thanks a lot for letting me know about turning the system of if switching controllers etc, coming from Commodore and Atari I have never done that before, good to know. I will try again to open up my Adam, and this time remove the all the IC that I can and hope for my Adam to boot up. Would be so cool to get it in working state again.
  3. I made an extrnal PSU from a ATX-psu since I do not have the printer.
  4. Yes I do have Zaxxon here somewere, I bought a lot of games (50) but have just tried one or two so far. Need to try it out a lot more, so if Zaxxon works the extra ram from the Adam is working as well? Ok, good to know I belived the power to the Colecovision was of when switching to Adam. I need to build a switch, not entirely sure that I dare to use just the power switch on the PSU. Did not know I have to turn power of to plug in conttrollers, or/and the DDP. Might never get a chance to use the DDP, but still hoping! Also have a broken Colecovision that I need to try to fix. My first time with a Colecovision, I always belived the Colecovision was how the Intellivision looked in US.
  5. Thank you, my Adam is now working! Well, almost at least the Colecovision section of it is, the Adam was dead when I bought it. Was hoping for it to start up, since I was opening up the other day and lifted the IC a little bit. Might try to take it apart again and remove and attach them fully this time. Other than that I have no idea what to try. Well, anyhow many thanks for the info! BTW, does anybody know if switching to Adam with the reset button counts as turning the Colecovision of, so that I could switch cartridge in the Adam-mode then switch back to Colecovision? Thank you, that was a great tip, and woked out pretty great!
  6. This is the info I did find... Pin 1 = 12V BROWN Pin 2 = 12V RED Pin 3 = 5V ORANGE Pin 4 = -5V YELLOW Pin 5 = Ground GREEN Pin 6, 7, 8 = Serial Data Clock, Serial Data, Signal Ground? Pin 9 = No Connection BUT, when I compare this to the inside cables in my Adam its 1 = Orange 2 = Yellow 3= Red 4= Blue 5= Green x 2 (two green cables) 6= Black 7= Brown Plese, anybody I really want to try my Adam out and do not want to risk burning it.
  7. Agree, I don't understand why everyone is replacing, just refurbish the original. By the way, did for the first time today, you do only have to pinch the expanded metal on the outherside of the power switch, and desolder the metal shielding for the switch (two spots). No need to remove the whole switch.
  8. I just bought a Colecovision from Ebay "as is", spend the day making a psu for it but when I turn it on the picture is just bars. I can hear the game starting, and I can connect a controller an start to play but the picture never changes at all. So what do you guys think, might this also be a dram error? (I did check, and restored the power button).
  9. Hi I'm trying to make a psu for a Adam Computer that I bought from US a few weeks ago but need to know the pinout for the powerconnector on Adam. Could anybody help me out with this? Please let me know if you are refering to male or female connector.
  10. Could anybody tell me the pinout for Adam Computer?, please state if you are refering to the male or female d-sub.
  11. Ok, but the link is just a "standard" reversed cable with 6pins? Belive I could just buy this one... http://www.kjell.com/sortiment/telefoni-kommunikation/fast-telefoni/installation/telekablar/modulkablar/modulkabel-rj12-6-6-p38406#ProductDetailedInformation
  12. Hi Got a Adam Computer from Ebay, but I do not have the cable to attach the keyboard to the computer. Tried to find the pinout online, but no luck. Could anybody help me out, is it just a straight cable? //Fredrik
  13. Hi I just bought an Adam computer from US, and it arrived yesterday. It's a great machine, but I have no way of trying it since I do not have the printer. So I want to build a power supply from an ATX I have. I will use a 7905 to convert the -12 to -5v but I do really also want to add a filter to this so I bought this kit for the 7805 but want to use the 7905 instead. So does anybody here know what I have to do, just turn the capacitor and the other component 180 degrees? (since it now negative voltage). http://www.ebay.com/itm/131369840096?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Did anybody try to replace the RAM in Adam similar to the RAM replacement you can do to Colecovision, and then you would not need the -5v at all, or are there any other component in the Adam that requires -5v?
