doesn't looks like a highway here. nonetheless the hacked sport games, no big thing and in general the same old stuff i posted three years ago. first briefly how i made them (plus some additional info): SPORT GAMES HACK ---------------- All of the action in half of the time! +-----------------------+---------+-------------------------+ | Name & description | address | value | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | (hex) | original | hacked | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | NASL SOCCER | | | | | | | | | | first half | 0xD9 | 2D (45min) | 16 (22min) | | second half | 0x0269 | 2D (45min) | 17 (23min) | | overtime mins. | 0x027D | 07 (7min) | 07 (7min) | | overtime secs. | 0x0281 | 1E (30sec) | 00 (0sec) | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | SOCCER2 | | | | | | | | | | first half | 0x04F3 | 2D (45min) | 16 (22min) | | second half | 0x0ADB | 2D (45min) | 17 (23min) | | overtime | 0x0AEF | 0F (15min) | 07 (7min) | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | SUPER SOCCER | | | | | | | | | | first half | 0x0541 | 2D (45min) | 16 (22min) | | second half | 0x0B1D | 2D (45min) | 17 (23min) | | overtime | 0x0B31 | 0F (15min) | 07 (7min) | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | WORLD CUP FOOTBALL | | | | | (WORLD CUP SOCCER) | | | | | | | | | | first half | 0x054D | 2D (45min) | 16 (22min) | | second half | 0x0B29 | 2D (45min) | 17 (23min) | | overtime | 0x0B3D | 0F (15min) | 07 (7min) | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | NBA BASKETBALL | | | | | | | | | | all quarters | 0x1203 | 0C (12min) | 06 (6min) | | overtime | 0x1243 | 05 (5min) | 03 (3min) | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | NHL HOCKEY | | | | | | | | | | all periods | 0x0113 | 14 (20min) | 0A (10min) | | "no overtime" | | | | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | NFL FOOTBALL | | | | | | | | | | all quarters | 0x0155 | 0F (15min) | 08 (8min) | | "no overtime" | | | | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | SLAM DUNK (HOOP!) | | | | | | | | | | all quarters | 0x788D | 0C (12min) | 06 (6min) | | overtime | 0x78DD | 05 (5min) | 03 (3min) | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | SLAP SHOT! | | | | | | | | | | all periods | 0x070F | 14 (20min) | 0A (10min) | | "no overtime" | | | | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | SUPER PRO FOOTBALL | | | | | | | | | | all quarters | 0x01DF | 0F (15min) | 08 (8min) | | "no overtime" | | | | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ | | | | | | SUPER NFL FOOTBALL | 0x04CF | 0F (15min) | 08 (8min) | | "no overtime" | | | | +-----------------------+---------+------------+------------+ NOTES: ------ I decided to shorten Soccer games to 22 + 23 mins (7 min. overtime). Basketball to 4 x 6 mins (3 min. overtime). Maybe the Basketball quarters are quite short in half of the time now. Even the Football games seems to me short with 4x8min NAMING The title screen name string has (can) been modified to identify the hacked games when you run them (without to disassemble you can't edit the length of the string). NASL SOCCER = "SOCA45" instead of "SOCCER" SOCCER2 = "SOCB45" instead of "SOCCER" SUPER SOCCER = "SUPER SOCA45" instead of "SUPER SOCCER" WORLD CUP FOOTBALL = "WORLD CUP SOCCER45" instead of "WORLD CUP FOOTBALL" NBA BASKETBALL = "BASKETBL24" instead of "BASKETBALL" NHL HOCKEY = "HOKY30" instead of "HOCKEY" NFL FOOTBALL = "FOOTBL32" instead of "FOOTBALL" SLAM DUNK = "HOOP!" instead of "HOOP!" The name in the title screen IS "HOOP!", it seems to be the working title (?), this name will also show up briefly when you reset the game using "sears". As soon as you hack the game jzIntzv will show "HOOP!" in the title bar, because it's a "unknown dump" and it simply reads the title screen string. I edited even the title in the visible title screen to "HOOP! 4X6 MIN. BASKETBALL" because i like this name. SLAP SHOT! = "SLAP SHOT!" instead of "Super Pro HOCKEY" Further i changed the title on the scoreboard from "Super Pro Hockey" to "3x10 Min. Hockey". SUPER PRO FOOTBALL = "SF" instead of "xx". SUPER NFL FOOTBALL = "MATTEL HACK" instead of "1983 MATTEL" There is no title string in this game except the copyright "1983 MATTEL", thus i altered simply this string to seperate the files. I even suggest to rename the files, i.e.: "NASL Soccer (1979) (Mattel).bin" to "NASL Soccer 45min (1979) (Mattel) [h].bin" (equal to "goodromnames" [h] indicates the hacked binary). Both will help to recognize the hacked games as hacks wherever they appear. SUPER SOCCER Using the right controller to start the game will terminate the program. This is a bug of the original game (or dump?). You can evade this error by starting the game with the ECS attached, because this game is designed for a maximum of four players (do not use the "mini" ecs.bin provided by joe zbiciak because it only emulates the three extra PSG channels, the game won't run with it). WORLD CUP SOCCER (WORLD CUP FOOTBALL) This game runs properly without the ECS attached while it even supports up to four players (do not use the "mini" ecs.bin provided by joe zbiciak because it only emulates the three extra PSG channels, the game won't run). The two games "SUPER SOCCER" and "WORLD CUP SOCCER" look and feel similar, but the data is completely different though there will be obviousely more differences between them as one can "feel", or that it's just a "bugfix". Personally i can't tell any differences between all soccer games when i play them, neither one is harder to play i guess. Nonetheless i prefere the unreleased "SOCCER 2", might be just because of the adverts. Gernot Schrader and here's the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pkwucb5mqrx8xim/Sport%20Games%20Hacks.zip?dl=0

Frontier, the predecessor to pioneer (much more as it is to Elite4), has various counters of which even our veteran dev. had no idea what exactly they count and when they will be used. but as an example, me as player will think why do i have to face the bad ass heavy armed maximum shielded "imperial courier" so often, maybe it's just because you "murdered" to often unarmed small fighters of which everybody thinks "what are they good for?". but maybe it's also just because you turn more often to starboard or whatever behave. i know that our young devs turned later all to "percentual" adding to the result, but i didn't think that's the right way it has to be done. use the behave directly on rand and the game will act "intelligent" because it acts on you, but not always, and not always as expected. thus in fact: int getRandomNumber() { return 4; // Chosen by fair dice roll. // guaranteed to be random. } imho, this is far less complex as to script a rig with three joints. to use a cad is easy, but to guess "what does it if i move this link and that link and how do i have to move the third link".

does that matter if how i draw a number? it matters much more how i use it. as well as a solution of whatever ingredients doesn't matters as much as what i select out of it. i can use a sixteen sided dice and in the end the difference is if this green bottle is poisonous or if it's healthy? you will have to try and this is a "two sided dice". ok i can make it less repetive or predictable (if i see the table), but none the less you can't predict if it's poisonous or not (because the table doesn't help you much then). if i played a 100 times i can maybe predict with a high chance it won't be poisonous, but still i can be poisoned. i guess simple mathematic games aren't a good example for this they are to easy seen through, especially when i work with a selection of answers, but in a role-playing you can't tell what happens, even if it's simple as 1,2,3. or do you count how many bottles you collected and how their relation was? "2 green, 3 red and 1 yellow, next must be a red one"? if you survived you concentrate on the next trap/challenge and you will know for this turn "never touch red bottles" i.e.. even if of three choices only one is left and i would know it must kill me i will be fooled and test it nonetheless only to find out it was dead awaiting me. but erm i'm a stupid gamer and i do had a cards counter as friend in school, i know that most was to predictable for him, but they are exotes. he could track a one armed bandit by the way while we was talking and joking and could utter after a while things like "5 is followed most often by 8". to speak in terms of my beloved "pioneer", does it matters if most pirates use this ship and this arms? no! i'm happy if i can burn their asses and get away alive. neither a "cards counter" will have advantage of his talent, they prob. will burn his ass nonetheless, even when he could predict what exactly awaits him. prob. one hit and your'e history, so what helps? to be cautious. i guess sometimes i like it to be "predictable", the fun starts if you use the players behave as seed, it will be more predictable in one sort, but exactly this will personalize it without that i have to care about how to achieve this. the player btw., will think "how can this stupid game predict what i will do next?". what's left is to flip a coin, either or not. ----- VROOOAM! push the pedal down

i assume it will last much longer, but the filing system costs "life". whenever you delete data from it i assume the old filetable stays and is lost, that's why you lose "lifetime" percentage by and by (i lost a tenth of a percent - already, still 99.9% to go) but if you don't move to much (why should one ) not much happens to it. hence i suggest to run games you only like to test from "LUI" directly on the connected and running Intellivision. use a menu layout of which you know that will suit your use, i'm not sure how much altering of the menu layout influences lifetime, much less as moving files of course. i.e. i use mostly a genre based layout, this works for me well (plus what i had and have collected as "collection"), doubled images won't be written double, LUI recognizes this and only adds a shortcut to the LTO Flash. and i don't see why one has to change much afterwards, of course 0.1% we must take in account to get comfortable with it. if the lifetime should be really used up you can still run directly on the console, but i guess i won't get old enough to experience this. this is maybe a backdraw of the Flash (edit: Nonvolatile ) RAM to a removable media, otherwise who knows how long a SD card lasts? can it survive the next electromagnetical storm i probably pass moving from Ross154 to Earth? but i have a "million" questions to it myself.

A subjective view on some Intellivision games

one absolutely not procedural generated game and broken as not much "unfinished" are SPACE SHUTTLE ? i just liked to post my final (or almost final) post and instructions for this unfinished and broken game (hack or what ever). i gave it several tries to find out especially how to switch proper between "arm" and "control pitch of shuttle/satellite (i would say shuttle, you obviousely can't maneuver the satellite, but it looks like because if you think right an object in space is relatively to you "moving" this kind, you don't see your small maneuver but you see the object moving relative to you and thus it's side inverted. you thrust to starboard - the object moves to portside of you ), the answer is simple, controlling the pitch of your shuttle works only with the right controller. to be honest it's a quite boring game because of this facts; - no real use of trajectory (matching trajectories, orbit), space debris, or most anything in the map view. - score overflow above 9500 (9900, 9999, 99, 19x5?) points which leads in the end to a crash of the game (somewhat above of assumed 20'000) killing any fun left with this sim. the score overflow has some dramatic effects on the game, since above a certain count not only glyphs or common graphical characters will be displayed but also active animated objects such as cards of the rotating globe or the robot arm. i've made a couple of clips, but i guess this one tells as much as all the others. it's captured running the Inty via the "tv anywhere" card on my pc, which didn't offers a brillant quality (as you can see) but it's suitable for playing and especially capturing a game played on the real hardware. of course an av modded inty would offer a much better quality. the clip is quite long with 20 minutes but it shows everything upto the typical crash when the score overflows to much. this clip using the video capture device shows off well the aspect the inty produces on a PAL TV, the full screen is 4:3 but the image itself has a different aspect, not quite 4:3 neither 16:10 (close to 15:10, the clip is doubled in size (640x480) but not streched). obviousely on a NTSC TV with the same aspect of 4:3 and a few lines less it will be closer to 4:3 (if not exactly). from on 17:25 minutes in the clip you can see an animated card in the score which probabaly belongs to the globe (you can see it moves similar as the globe), even the cockpit starts to show strange effects and with lowered landing gear the respective score character turns to something which looks like a cactus. already before this shows up you can see a line in the character which grows&shrinks together with your robot arm. from then on you will know it will be difficult to run the game furter on, most likely it will crash or simply reset. nontheless, i've revised the instructions for the game and the overlay (for those who like it to try despite of the fact that it is really broken). list of issues: - Use only the right controller. On the left controller you can't switch between control of the "arm" and "maneuver shuttle" to bring the sattelite in position (key 0). - When controlling the shuttle in cockpit view to "maneuver shuttle" right is unfortunately always "right & up" (shuttle steers right, satellite moves left in relation to it). - The game didn't ends after the 2nd mission. - You can capture as much satellites as you like until you run out of fuel. - The score begins to overflow above 9'000 pts (when you would reach 10'000 pts) and starts to display graphical characters. - From on a certain score the game crashes or crashes if you land or resets after landing and showing your score. if you capture more as 10 satellites in each mission the game will crash at end or within the second mission. - Turn your ship 180 around on the trajectory and fire thrusters to break ("Speedup Shuttle" is the wrong term it should be "Rotate Shuttle"), decay from orbit and land (instead of using up your fuel). - Trajectory control works but has no influence on wether you can capture a satellite or not. Most of what you see and hear in the map view isn't functional. - Each succesful capture adds 1'000 pts to your score, deploying adds most of the time 0 sometimes 500. Space Shuttle Instructions.pdf [1] Shows cockpit view. [2] Shows the map and shuttle trajectory. [3] Deploys satellite. It will switch screens to show thw launch. [4] Rotates the shuttle on the trajectory by 180°. [5] Speed up map (speed up mission time counter). [0] Toggle controls for arm or to maneuver shuttle in cockpit view. [ENTER] Capture the satellite when arm is in position. Upper Side Keys Thrust to accelerate/decelerate or to maneuver. Lower Side Keys Change trajectory, left bends down, right bends up. Direction Disc Maneuvers the shuttle and controls robot arm that's it so far. -

mthompson that's a cool hack (progress), i like thanks for linking it, i guess i wouldn't have found that (because i didn't knew it existed) so i have another one to post in the "atariage hacks" thread (i guess it makes sense to drop them there). only one member was asking, the only post in "hacks for Intellivision", if the "auto-hack" (a hack tool for a2600 games to exchange graphics, as i found out) would work for the inty. of course not, but he inspired me to post my hacks under this topic and you inspired to link more hacks (as far as i know them "air strike" will be the first). and to post him the ECS Basic examples (if he likes to toy around with pulling graphics from a cartridge). (i now have my revised sport games hacks ready) --------- mr_me sometimes i miss, and i can't check everything on the macbook as quick like at home, i do make notes (sometimes) but also forget to carry them with me sometimes. besides i never actively played "King of the Mountain" and it was just based on the fact that i found no differences between them (resp. thought so). --------- overall i'm often wrong, that's how i learn, likewise the robot from "Robot finds Kitten" - try and error. -------- i made more experiences with "tower of mystery" and would have to revise some of my statements i made, but unfortunately i forgot the text i've made at home (i knew i was missing something). one thing i can say for sure, i was wrong in assuming the displayed character points would influence your next game, if at all you would need ID and Password to enable this (whysoever if at all). some items vary in use to "tower of doom" (i.e. coins can have magic power), you miss food at all and have to gain power only from magic and you can't see the progress you made in the running game (instead of the question mark there is a chest in the pack, "using" it has no effect). in very rare cases the game crashed when i used a magical item (only happened twice at the very start of the game). as more i find out as more questions i have but later i will post more about it, as far as i can remember my experiences i made and the issues or differences to "Tower of Doom" i stumbled over. it mostly lacks of sound and it's a quite silent game to play. the advance in hardness and (i assume) full depth of 32 levels is challenging, it starts easy but you soon feel very very weak ("your skin feels tight"). the hardest thing about is that every game will be random (procedural generated, i like that!) a new one, random levels, random effect of items (color). in other terms what "tastes like spinach juice" in one game can kill you in the next game. what i could imagine that "ID" and "Password" should help to generate a game from the same number (same numbers from same numbers), but i still have no idea how that works for the game if at all. most sense it would make after you get killed though you could play the same game again and profit of your experience, but it didn't looks like. still i have no idea if the "ID" and "Password" will be handed to you when you succeeded, what would make least sense, because you matched it then. probably (very vague) you get a Password (short number of only 4 characters length) to enter any "ID" (long number of 3 times 4 characters) to generate a game (similar like it was for populous). this is a obvious cool option a procedural generated game offers, to draw same numbers from same numbers. however i like this game exactly because it's procedural generated and it points towards the right direction, it's something many games still doesn't have today, despite the fact that it won't need much code to achieve this. just draw a number out of 3 x 4 (that's quite a lot, we used only nine for pioneer and generated with that the whole galaxy) and here we go. but you have to build the game around this, it will be the heart and soul of it. "roll a dice" the main element of any real role playing game, it's never really repetive, but computer role games offer the extra possibility instead to roll a dice to fight using your skills as player and this makes them (could make) outstanding. instead to hack & slash like the coin op "dungeons & dragons: tower of doom" (not very advanced it is ) was, it's not funny to hack yourself through a fantasy game, neither it's fun to just press the right button at the right time (final fantasy) and to watch one cut scene after the other. i guess even if it's in this state is unfinished "Tower of Mystery" is such a role playing game and imho the first which would have suited to the title "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" (advanced!). however, if one takes this serious the inty could beat the most modern console ego shooter tard with the simple "same numbers from same numbers". ok, now i wrote down already most what i know about it -

"League of Light" YES! i like much. because of exactly the same, i like that rocking tune. and i do remember a C64 game, but i can't remember it had music, but i guess the "nightdriving" would have been adapted by many. as far as i can remember (my cousin had a C64, shortly after i bought my Inty) it was as BASIC game on tape, likewise "Lunar Lander" (data only) or together with. somehow i do remember a similar game from my miggy, but i can't remember it's name, a good game idea will have been copied many many times. What differs "League of Light" is certainly the Music and the "Senso" type of intermediate game (as far as someone likes a rockin' tune played on three channels, that must be someone of our age or a true freak. i like all sorts of such music "directly banged to the hardware" and whenever or for what purpose ever i make a mp3 of them it didn't sounds as fresh to me, even if them are already samples. "the quality quartet" or in case for the inty "the quality trio" music played back by instructions) --- How can i judge (find out) Air Strike will be a hack? It's exactly what is on "Intellivision Lives", but that mustn't mean it's no hack i just wonder. If it's a hack it must be an "official hack", because it's published by Intellivision incorporated in this way. and exactly their own description doesn't matches what is on their own collection. but however, it's more playable due to that and that's what is of real interest to me. --- For "Space Shuttle?" we can assume a lot, since you find it only on intellivision.us (eg, who put that question mark there? was it ment? is it a hack? i've read they made a brainstorming for the name) while "League of Light" differs not in just a single bit from what has been already published on "rocks". they are "boasting" that "King of the Mountain" is bugfixed but neither there is any difference to what is on "Lives" (so which bug has been fixed? the one on the kitchen floor? "splat" fixed it! i assume it's only to evade a poss. copyright infringement). in this case it's true what has been said (wasn't it you?) of "unknown source", because for "League" and "King" it could be, most probably it is a simple ripp off. Perhaps because they was "unfinished" or "unpublished" they got away with this. "GoodNames" marks them already as duplicates, but to be 100 and 1 % sure i compared them using my hexeditor, "no differences" (while you can be sure same checksum same content, but well it's better to trust your eyes then in a software). Damned in some sort this is shit, if it doesn't belongs to "Intellivision Inc." or "Activision" it will belong to the developer for sure. and it's in fact not very nice to spread it unasked. (same for joe's 4-Tris i feel, it would have been easy to link his publishing instead to upload it, that would be fair, no problem for me to share but respect the author that's most important to me. law unfortunately often only serves lawyers and not the right) Otherwise i'm grateful for most of the rest of unpublished games, at least it advertises Intellivision, and one can hope that this or that person will finally order the official released stuff, might be because he feels that's only fair or to get the vast amount of additional and entertaining material. It is in fact no problem to download the whole TOSEC set anywhere in the web, a "1000" times and they don't do advertising. I make myself already thoughts about my hacks or about the boxes or a rewritten manual, because it is a violation of copyrights and just tolerated, we should be grateful for this. Neither one can be sure it won't be a problem. -

with this settings i started the game (equal to, i just forgot to make a screenshot) with this character i ended it, while i killed my adventurer just to show this, i was growing while i was playing (i guess in this part it's the same for "Doom"). if i would have started a new game, this would be my character and equipment for the new game maybe in this part it's somewhat unlogical, because as more often you lose as easier the game will be for you (as stronger you are). ID & Password is still a riddle to me. Even if the ID & Password doesn't works or isn't what i assume it should be, it would be possible to write that down (or make a snapshot) to play next time with exactly the settings you ended the game. Besides the ID can't be your name (i was a idiot assuming this), because you obviousely can't enter letters. It's a serial looking like this "nnnn-nnnn-nnnn" for ID and a single number string for Password "nnnn". as far as i could judge it it had no influence entering something here, but i don't know exactly (i used 0000-0000-0000 and 0000 to start, but as you can see nothing is to see after i lost my adventurer) Still i guess there would be the option that something would appear here after you gained a certain item or probably matched a game, this i don't know. After a successful play it would make sense, because it could be this would lift you to a harder level. Because it was anything else as hard to play the game, almost a walkthrough. Certainly "Tower of Doom" is a fine to play game because the rules are identically. But i guess "Tower of Mystery" has some "mysterious" extras to offer, not in what you will find in the game, but how you start it and how your adventurer grows while playing it. Something "unfinished" or broken in function i didn't discovered yet, except maybe the ID and Password function. It's a little to easy yes, but i don't know how that will be in a further play, there is still the possibility ID and Password work to make it harder to play. as you can see on the screenshot even the tower level is editable, which means you can restart exactly on this level or start at tower level 1 again. the amount of tower levels isn't to see and neither i can tell how deep the first tower is. In general one can assume this options screen has been replaced for "Doom" with the presets for tower depth and character. Let's see if i was right in assuming that i can re-enter my character in a new play today. It's in fact "THE TOWER OF MYSTERY" erm, yes, one word to the "easter egg", if you like to try this you will have probably to enter the code twice, it usually worked for me only after entering it twice. -
you folks and that rotten console can change minds. errata: i posted 53 but i always was bad in arithmetics, i'm 52 (up to 8 or 9 i didn't even knew my own birthdate, well it wasn't important i'm born on 4th of advent 1966, i couldn't miss that... it snows? i must have birthday! mom do i have birthday? - no gernot it will last a week until - argh - do i have now birthday? - no gernot it's summer your sister has birthday - argh. i had birthday everyday because i didn't knew when i had birthday) i did some statistics, me the craftsman did statistics i hate that, but i wondered what will be the results (a table i will set up at home). to start off, the oldest and youngest oldest: 70 what?! 73! i'm stunned (as far as i noted this proper) youngest: 27 great, if i subtract this from my age i feel very young again, my stepson david is 26, but i guess he won't play with me on the intellivision, he feels to matured for this. from far i can tell most are in the mid 40's, which is already interesting. and the intermediate age is who would have suspected it? 44 ---- some statistics about little me (which would be otherwise to read in a diff. thread) i bought my first intellivision in 1982, i was sixteen and made my first own money as apprentice (textiletechnician). i decided for it because it was the most sophisticated console, at least this i felt and think still today it was. i liked the sport games most (except baseball and football as a european i have no idea what it is about, baseball seems to be something like "Hornussen", a little more sophisticated), even when i was a dedicated arcade hall gamer and spendet easy SFr. 200.- for coin-ops and flipper machines (i had a quite well income, because i was the first aprentice in this job for my employer and i had to learn a lot things autodidactible or even builded up things for the ones who followed me, except for the chemistry this was hammered in my brain at school). the cartridges was hard to find for me, thus i ordered many from a grey-market importer, for half of the official price directly from H.K. around 1984 i smashed my console on a wall, i played for about 30h (or even more) Bump 'n Jump and lost my last nerve. i immediatly went next day to a retailer to buy from him the leftover "crap", which was a good decision. unfortunately this heavy used console (an exhibition model) didn't lasted to long and despite the fixes me and my daddy made it broke i guess a year later. i ordered my next one from a classifieds paper which you can compare to todays e-bay. it was also a success, my stock of games grew even when i had due to that 3 star strikes 3 soccers and many doubles at all. i went crazy shortly after and became a slave to religion, i started to be an evangelist and didn't cared about computers or gaming (devils work). also the console had again a broken controller and i never fixed it, due to loss of interest. my daddy kept most of my stuff, thank you wilhelm, a large collection of vinyls and the Inty. after a while he thought i won't need it anymore and disassembled it because of the broken controller and the fact that i went crazy. (i still hold the whole chipset of that machine). he was a hobby electronics technician, builded many things like our first calculator, a pong and a lightgun game, the gun was made from a pellet gun (early seventies). of course his stereo and later on another one of which my mother still holds the speakers (children coffins), that was his last big project, to sad. to explain him a little more, he designed the PCB's himself from a to z it was all perfect made, he was such a talented man but never recognized his strengths mother used to say "when he drawed a bicycle one could take this as layout to build one, but you draw a bicycle with two lines and everybody knows it's a bicycle" i quitted that crazy movement and went again mentally sane (or insane?), very rapid and left again most behind me. early 2015 finally i bought my recent intellivision and subscribed to atariage. late 2017 i ordered the LTO flash and i'm happy like 16 again.

A subjective view on some Intellivision games
Gernot replied to Gernot's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
a few words to "TOWER OF MYSTERY" (predecessor to tower of doom) first, · HIDDEN MESSAGE: By typing 1-1-2-6-5-6, a “ticker-tape” style message from programmer Daniel Bass may appear (but since he didn’t do the final programming for the game, this may have been removed). {Daniel Bass} no obviousely it won't appear in tower of doom, but works for tower of mystery. "mystery" i don't know what differences it will further have but one for sure, you can't select from preset characters but you can setup your own character, from easy to hard, you can give him any set of equipment. I didn't found any instructions for this game so it's like solving a riddle if you like to i'm not sure in which parts it is unfinished, i will find out, i have this uncertain feeling it's quite complete but just not documented. of course you can start the game by pressing of the disc, but i don't think that this is the intention not only equipment for your adventurer can be set even what sort of castle is customizable (even instead of preset ones) of course this won't make it easier to just play the game. a further possibility, and here it starts to get interesting, is to enter an "ID" and a "Password" i assume, but i can really only assume, that "ID" is (of course identity) to recall a character (errata: it's prob. your name for the adventurer) while if i guess of "Password" it could be to recall a running game? but how? until i didn't stumbled over a "Password", neither that an "ID" was shown i.e. when you lost all lives. what could be that you have to fulfill a condition to get one which would make sense to me. but what exactly both is i don't know. it is both not really needed to know and maybe i will stumble over it when i keep playing it. referring to atariprotos (else there isn't much info to find about this game except that we know it's "unfinished" and "unreleased" and that they was about to release a stumped version for the M Network) the ID could be your name, i will see if that is the case. that would be a cool extra, a game which stores your name? storing in the sense that it will be probably recalled with the Password. one single clip is to find on YT of a few seconds playing which won't make us wiser. the whole thing is a riddle in itself and i guess that's a good starting point for AD&D, it's a quest, you have no idea, except that the general gameplay will be like "Tower of Doom". i guess for the items and monsters we can refere to "Tower of Doom" i know what you like to say. why should one be interested in "Mystery" if "Tower of Doom" exists and is documented and finished. perhaps exactly of this, i'm curious. how far it is unfinished is speculative. we all can read that it is unfinished, but many such games surprised me how far they was finished and how wrong the documentation can be for the meaning of "unfinished" (Space Shuttle, Air Strike, Quest). something tells me that they didn't liked to counter the released versions, but still i wonder about the difference of "Space Shuttle" in gameplay to it's description. it's stated you can play only two missions and it ends abruptly, while in fact you can play ??? missions (at least 5 or 6 i played already). it's stated that 1000pts will be the max. per mission while i can load as much satellites i like to and gain 500pts for each successful recovery. a quite big difference and makes the game much more playable as the instruction let's us assume. for Air Strike it's stated "no enemy airplanes" while you can call an enemy and it's not an easy one, well no airplane that's true it's a helicopter. these differences of actual gameplay and instruction or description let's me assume a lot. to return to "Mystery" it's stated that the graphics was overhauled for "Doom", i wonder in which part? until it looked exactly as what i know from "Doom" (it isn't much i know about it). it would be interesting to have a look at the graphic sets, this i will do as next thing. gameplay differs? where except for the more sophisticated way to select your character? until a game doesn't ends abruptly or hangs it's to me not "unfinished". it's maybe a prototype. but quite more as only a playable demo. i expect that it will be in parts unfinished, likewise "Shuttle" where you can't make any senseful use of the trajectory (orbit), which is in fact a quite big leak, it would make the game much more fun to play to match the trajectories. this would need extra fuel and lower the chances of a recovery until you run out of fuel, besides you can leave the trajectory to far and this will have the same effect as running out of fuel, you left stable orbit (you will be warned by mission control). but i really can't tell what these parts will be for "mystery" that's why one has finally to play it. and it looks like it has to be me. of course i appreciate any useful information which exceeds what we know already from blue sky rangers (which equals to zero). i wouldn't be surprised if there would be no use for the "password" function, really not. one thing i experienced already is that if you loose your three men the experience, treasure and stamina you gained stays for the next attempt, so your adventurer will grow stronger with every attempt you make (unless you alter it or reset the game). -
hey bassguitari i can't read minds mi dispiace next time when i'm around i will visit you on the sister moon not much going down there as i remember, a rather cold place to stay. i know not everybody must like me but "wahnhaft", how did i achieved that? i'm not, it's proofed, 100%, have been through that, certificated and sealed i'm not. i wasn't sure but they say i'm not. i'm whatever but not delusional and not compulsive. but i'm not here to argue.

mr_me will be done so, that's the next thing i will try, thank you for metioning it "work = force * distance" SoundGammon why should it have? it's a static shooter and offers something else as a vertical or horizontally scrolling, i guess it was because of limitations in size, otherwise it would be no problem but neither makes a game better, just different. BassGuitari until you played it damned yes that's what i thought, "ok, an invaders clone and not even a good one, look at these giant monsters" i never gave the game a chance in the past until i have the possibilty now to play it on my console i tried it and was surprised how much fun i had playing it. it's not different to invaders, it's the same "stupid thing", nonetheless it's addictive. true, i can't get enough of them. a galaxian is truely missing, or somewhat close. i remember a clone or variation (which i never found as rom image) which i played in my youth in general it was a galaxian (static shooter) but the main difference was you had limited rockets, each shot has to hit or almost each. i guess the amount of rockets was counted as fuel, but it's very long ago. also the attack patterns had a wider variety as galaxian offers. a second i never saw except in our arcade is one from German Democratic Republic (the commies so to say) it had not much colors only the background was changing colors and the moving objects was always white. but it was great to play (buttons only, no stick) it had a wide variety of enemies and attack patterns and if i remember right speech, simple speech like "welle eins, bereit" (wave one, ready) it was a static shooter, but the passing by enemies gave you an impression of a vertical scrolling (no background at all, not even stars) first i would like to have them as coin-op, second i guess both would make a fine game for the intellivision. especially latter, can you imagine a soviet themed space shooter for the Inty? most of all i would like a "Moon Cresta" it was my favorite game together with "Phoenix".

some personal thoughts of using a crt (flatscreen at all) for vintage consoles. how good the quality might be, it let's me miss something. when i connect the Inty to my moms flatscreen the image is fairly good, almost as good as an av signal. but exactly this it was annoys me a little, it equals to the result of an emulator and a monitor, i miss the feeling i play on a old hardware. that might sound stupid but this i felt. the only difference left will be the controllers and the lower speed of the PAL hardware, erm and ok, the physical present console on the desk. even worse if i would replace the crappy controllers with something new, there won't be much difference to playing it emulated. it's somehow cool, but maybe to cool. playing on my crappy old tube i guess it has a diagonale of 40cm, is to me much more authentic, with all it's backdraws the tube has. incl. due to age a missmatching pillow distortion (i have to work on this). but i haven't had even in my youth a much bigger tube, it already costed me a lot of my income as apprentice to buy me one, in fact it was a rate paying contract. that shitty tube tv costed me near to 1000,- Sfr. back in the early eighties. (the used i have now i bought for 10.- SFr.) a "big screen" would have cost me easy 3000.- SFr. back then. i'm even not sure if i will like the result my yet av modded inty will produce on the multisync monitor i have, the mask is much finer as a common PAL TV. see, you can turn on in sophisticated emulators all kinds of artificial distortion up to a burn-in only to produce a more realistic appearance of the picture. (if it would be possible to physically bump the screen of a flatscreen like a tube they would do it only to reproduce the picture of a tube) vice versa we search for the best possible image on a flatscreen and a quasi higher resolution for the real hardware? that clearly contradicts. to get rid of the sideeffects of the modulated signal like the moireé effect i think is ok, it was something i did to my sega mkII very early and it was very easy done. but like i said already my mothers flatscreen seems to me to artificial to play an old console on it. imho there is no substitute for a tube tv or monitor for an old hardware, else i feel i play/use it emulated. "baker for baking bread - cobbler to fit your shoes" even in this case. the multisync will be perfect for my amigas, because it belongs to the age. the tube tv is perfect for the inty, because it belongs to the age. my lcd monitior is perfect for my quite old pc (i hold even much older models which i certainly would use even on the multisync), it belongs to the age. would i kick myself in the ass and build up the rampage III board which lurks around in my flat i would like to have even a more recent monitor to respect the quality & age of the board. (note to myself: get a suitable powersupply for it, dammit it's worth the effort instead to steady complain about your shitty old pc) but hey, personal opinion and you know opinions are like assholes - not everybody likes to share mine. which "display" would suit to this car? which cloth you would wear to drive it?

Mermaid (Intybasic) - castle map using GROM
Gernot replied to tuatara21's topic in Intellivision Programming
hi tuatara, i like mermaid much, i like the idea behind, it's a great adventure game, or could be. in my humble opinion the castle maze is too large with 10 x 10 rooms, one can easy lose fun and attention for the game in the search for the queen. else that thing is great. maybe if there would be a sort of hinting along the way in the castle where you have to swim to, not to obvious of course, but something which gives you an idea. perhaps if the sea creatures would get harder (bigger) as closer you get to the target. once i played i found the queen quite early, but the next time i simply gave up, it took to long without to have any idea where to look for. ok that's random, but exactly this makes it so hard and unpredictable. and you must agree hundret rooms are damned many, once it's probably next door, another time in "room #99". except, ok maybe i've overssen something, i didn't played it to often, but well my second serious but non succeeding try kept me from playing it again. i know you created a box art yourself, nonetheless an IntyBASIC themed boxart from "gernötli" (if you would hand me your avatar i could poster that as well on the box) to make it complete an icon to start it from and one for the instructions -
"ultras" wattwil but we go for the FCZ "fussballclub zürich", does have wattwil a fc? i think so but they are nowhere in the liga. FCZ was relegated team but is back again soon as #1, if not it will be a hard time for the other hools. have pun, i'm not to see me i took the picture and only one of us is really a hool, but he has to keep his fists in the pocket because he's registered as violent soccer hooligan. he's more then just ok and we are best buddies, even if he knocked out my foreteeth once, i was drunk and running wild, nothing stopped me, he hittet me several times in the chest but i was just laughing. well the final hit stopped me, but honestly i can't remember anything else as that he hittet my chest several times anything else is darkness until i found myself on way back home and i wondered where i lost my foreteeth.

what hack is heck-o-matic? ok, i can imagine, dunno to be honest i don't know this program. but i guess i have a couple of hacks in my pocket. no big thing and i uploaded them once already in the intellivision sector. but i will start a new thread here for my sport game hacks, no big thing, i only shortened the games to have less long to play, intentionally i started the whole thing especially for soccer because 2x45min are quite long, somehow it kills the fun of the simple soccer game if you have to play that long. my hacks are suitable for a fast game inbetween, 20-30 min playing time, that's long enough for a quick game of soccer. but first a few words to hack-o-matic: i guess it can't be used it's ment to change graphics for atari2600 games and they differ quite a lot from Intellivision. even if i guess such could be made possible, the graphics of course reside on a certain adress in the games rom(s) or system rom, which will vary from game to game somewhat. you can pull the graphics of a intellivision cartridge using ECS basic, there is a special command for this implemented, ment to use for small self made basic games. some examples have been made public, but they are very crappy, so don't expect magic can be done with this, they are more likely simple games which use glyphs to draw the environment and a pulled graphic from a cartridge (mostly the famous running man). i don't know how much you are interested in but these examples i will link here, because intellivisionairies will know them all. you need to program the examples the ECS rom image (a suitable emulator and of course exec and grom) and an image of the in the program listing mentioned cartridge. best results i had using jzIntv, because it lets you switch quick to the ECS keyboard mapping, Nostalgia works as well easy for this. the programs are very short in instructions, the result is equal to that crappy. but you will have a game, and you can use a different graphic from a different cartridge as mentioned (imagic and activision releases won't work). if you like to use a different cartridge you will have to snoop by try and error for the graphic yourself. really crappy. "alien invasion" as example (i guess that was its name) is a super simple game where colored blocks fall from the sky, your task is to touch the boxes of the same color to survive the alien attack, see such simple they are. what you can do in this example (as example ) is to take a different cartridge as "Night Stalker" where the "man" is pulled from. but imho it makes not much sense except that you can fiddle around with it, one "man" will be good as the other for this game, a dot will be as good as to be honest. to perform it just start the mentioned cartridge with enabled ECS, in the starting screen you will be asked "BASIC" "CARTRIDGE" "MUSIC", enter "1" to open the basic interpreter. for the rest follow the instructions. (lazy ones can make use of a sleek possibility i guess it was "INTVwin" or/and "INTVdos" with which i feeded the of comments cleaned basic listing as text to the interpreter, press enter to run the tard. honestly in the same time you need to figure out how and to clean the listing you will have typed it, such short are the listings). however, it shows it's possible to pull a graphic from a intellivision game and of course vice versa should be possible as well. but i'm no coder, i'm a bloody hacker. ECS basic of course doesn't allows you to alter a cartridge, that isn't possible to alter a read only memory (keep in mind that it was published when roms stayed physically on a IC). even when it would have been possible to alter the content of the GRAM it wasn't wanted for sure this means unlawful hacking. so you can pull only a graphic from a rom and feed it to the gram and this only until you pressed reset or shut down the console, after it is flushed down the drain. except with todays possibilities, you could save the running game in some emulators, but imho they aren't worth this, it's fun to do it and to see the result, but that's already all. I don't know when pulling of roms to binary images was first possible, but one of the first was the amiga which allowed to copy the OS rom to a floppy. A1000 started in this way from a floppy image, it was ment mainly for developers, because in this way it was possible to create a own OS exclusive for your application and this opened the door to protection, a floppy which can be read only by the specific OS residing in the boot sector of the floppy, using a own storage method on the floppy as well, broken for any other OS. the amiga floppy drive is software programmable, you can perform with the floppy "magical" things (today they make music in this way, sssrt crck, sssrt crck). here are the ECS basic examples: ECS basic examples.zip my hacked sport games, respectively the link to the new thread: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/276684-intellivision-sportgames-all-of-the-action-in-half-of-the-time/?do=findComment&comment=3986904 i'm very sorry but i forgot the binaries at home, thus you will have to wait a week or two until they are really present.

phew still it makes me nervous "should i - should i haven't" they are named to me "super soccer" (proper name) simply "soccer" distributed by intellivision.us as soccer2 (the one with the advertises) at least that's how i list, name and handle them. some changes i made this february, but i'm still n ot sure if it's good to make them public. intentionally, and i have this ready made at home, i woul liked to post only a clean advice how to hack them because this is (almost) legal. It's a violation of applicable laws if i make the hacked binaries public. but ok let's say in the frame of this closed circle it shouldn't be a problem, i don't think the FBI will visit me in ulisbach (if they know at all where ulisbach is). not even a junction, a couple of buildings near to a junction (is that to find on google maps? yes) since i forgot this piece of work (the hack table) at home i will post my new hacks but will upload it to my dropbox to envolve no one else as me. and i don't fear a shit, you can't strip a naked man, and in any prison i will have a TV which i can't afford free as i am. I've made some minor changes to the sport game hacks. mainly i altered the title screen name string to differ them proper from the original and to give a idea what it is. instead to link them here i will link them now and in future in the thread for "hacks" here on atariage. further i changed the soccer games from 2x15min to 22+23min which equals exactly to "all of the action in half of the time" (no fear i've updated the boxart as well). also i changed "Hoop!" erm i mean "Hoopla Hoop" argh sorry "Slam Dunk" to 4x6min which is even closer to half as 4x8min, probably it's to short, tell me what you think about, i'm no basketball player, or i have to start to be one. NBA Basketball has even been shortened to this duration. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/276684-intellivision-sportgames-all-of-the-action-in-half-of-the-time/?do=findComment&comment=3986904 a few words to the different Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer "Soccer2" (i would really name it just Soccer or Soccer for one and two players, or maybe Super NASL Soccer which is i guess the proper Name of the unreleased and only for demonstration purposes made "Soccer2". Soccer 2 is ment for 1 and 2 players, my favorite version because of the advertises, that's unique amongst the Intellivision games. "Super Soccer" this game seems also to be a unreleased prototype, it has a "horrible" bug (well a bug at least). The game is ment to be enhanced by the ECS, it would be possible to be played for 4 players simultaneousely. It can be run without the ECS attached, but it crashes if you start it without ECS when you use the right controller to start it, using the left controller is fine. "World Cup Soccer" respectively "World Cup Football" is the finally released version and is bugfree, it also can be played for up to 4 with the ECS controller pair. If i hear now the word Soccer you will be..... in the nose i got a headake from all these soccer. no i like the game much, even if i score like hell, 20 : 0 isn't uncommon and here ends the fun. what i would like is a faster soccer, not faster clock speed, a faster AI. you can screw up the ratio (i recommend 1.5 times, faster won't do it good), but still the AI is fast the same as you and has no chance if you "play with yourself" means lay a straight high shot in front of you and run backwards out of the screen so you can catch your own pass when you enter the screen from front, do this two or three times and score over the short corner (but preferably from the bottom side where you have a lot more open space), or shoot a high shot before you can see the goal centered to the goal (match the distance though your high shot lands exactly behind or in front of the dull goalie), the goalie is chanceless in both situations. Penalty shootout, if it's your turn to shoot, the duration you press the disc equals to the hardness the ball will be kicked, the direction is of course the direction. shoot in the low corner of the goal by pressing the disc not to long else your shot will end up easy to high (either left or right, ENE for right WNW for left corner), the goalie will be chanceless. Penalty shootout your'e the keeper - argh help i'm a shitty goalie, try it, it's hard to hold any pill, usually my goalie jumps a second after the ball went in the goal, he's somewhat a lame goalie. looks very funny if a goalie jumps for joy (instead for the ball). Have a Coke in the pause. How many games will have a unlicensed Coca-Cola advert? Not even i put that name in Pioneer, i have "Cool-Cola" but not Coca-Cola. But i love it, it adds this special bit of realism to soccer2. Unfortunately the players enter the field from top but will leave it downwards like in NASL Soccer. No "attract mode" in the title screen of Soccer2. Unlike NASL Soccer all three later Soccer games play overtime not until the first player scored, the whole overtime has to be played no matter who scored how many goals, if it's still a tie a penalty shootout starts. I would say NASL soccer has liga rules, "Super Soccer(s)" has cup rules. To start the overtime play after a tie you have to press keypad "3" for all Soccer games. "Super Soccer(s)" allow you to ask for a pass if you haven't the ball (press lower left action button for this), the teammate who has the ball will pass it to you.

for this time i upload the box art on AA. the images are only 8bit depth to save space and to shorten loading time, still the quality is much better as a heavy compressed .jpg. (idea by mthompson title changed to Hoop!) (fitted to new hack) (unaltered) (fitted) (unaltered idea by mthompson) (fitted to new hack) (unaltered idea by mthompson) (unaltered idea by mthompson) (for any use of Soccer2) (errata: Super Pro Football i ment not "NFL", idea mthompson) ("Super" ) (just for completeness, mthompson's Slam Dunk 4x8) (idea by mthompson) the smaller ones are ment as icons, on newer windows OS's you won't need the "icon" format and can attach them to a batch/shortcut. i won't include the old versions you see here in the zipped binaries folder, if you like to compare or use the old versions lookout for my old entry in http://atariage.com/forums/topic/234643-sport-games-hacks/ i noticed fdr4prez has also made some super soccer and soccer2 boxes. (erm they was never missing - in my case)
-
After this and that thought i thought ok let's risk it again. Intellivision sportgames hack "ALL OF THE ACTION IN HALF OF THE TIME" The zipped folder will contain following to half of the playing time shortened sport games: - NBA Basketball (shortened overtime as well) - NASL Soccer (shortened overtime by 30 seconds ) - NFL Football - NHL Hockey - Soccer2 (a predecessor to super soccer, resp. world cup soccer which is to play only for one or two players) - Super Soccer (can be played from 1 up to 4 players if ECS and ECS controller set present, attention! this game crashes if the ECS is disabled and if you start it using the right controller, using left is fine, this isn't caused by my hack) - World Cup Football (resp. World Cup Soccer, the cartridge image shows the title "World Cup Football", i've included both, one version where i only hacked the title string to "World Cup Soccer" and the 2x22min version. Similar to Super Soccer it supports the ECS controllers and up to 4 could play, this once released game hasn't the bug of "Super Soccer" it can be started without ECS present from both controllers. All three "Soccer2", "Super Soccer", "World Cup Soccer" have a shortened overtime of 7min (instead of 15min) if it's still a tie after two overtimes a penalty shoot out starts. Overtime has to be engaged for all soccer games by pressing of "3" after a tie. NASL soccer plays overtime until the tie is broken. soccer2, super soccer and world cup soccer play the whole 2 overtimes no matter who scored how many goals. attention! using "miniecs" (the quasi ecs provided by joe zbiciak) won't work since it only includes the aditional three PSG channels for sound enhancement, super soccer and world cup soccer can't be run this way (for non ECS games it simply doesn't exists). Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer Soccer - Hoop! erm Hoopla Hoop no "Slam Dunk: Super Pro Basketball" (after the hack jzIntv showed "Hoop!" in the title bar, and it's briefly displayed as well if you reset the game). Apart from the shortened time it will show now "INTV presents HOOP! Super Pro Basketball" as title. - Slap Shot: Super Pro Hockey - Super NFL Football NO DAMNED TARD i forgot even the binaries at home not only the instructions how to hack them, rinse of a mind i have. ok, you will have to wait a week or two, i'm sorry but i'm an old dude with a weak mind (no i was always this kind, since i can remember i forget things). but what i can post meanwhile and to entertain you a little or shorten the time or to advertise my hacks are the boxes and some overlays. really a big sorry, i'm a idiot, but i started this thread and linked it already thus i have to publish something.

with buying of the dell notebook for my mom and what i will buy next month for myself i can start to work on my project again.
already on the notebook with the built in graphics my pioneer version runs quite good.
who can imagine what this is will receive a "pioneer" for free (it's free anyway).

A subjective view on some Intellivision games
Gernot replied to Gernot's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Mr_me. nice mentioning about MAME64 (read above why i have only an old winchester board running XP86) no win32 version, but i can investigate myself further, thanks nonetheless. It's fairly old but stutter? i guess in some way it stutters less as the win7 x64 machine i had, well exactly for the time of warranty, 2 years and then it fell apart. I lost a complete game project due to that, horrible! because it didn't simply stopped to work, it killed the HD as well. For at least two years i didn't wanted to think of "pioneer" because it drove tears in my eyes guessing i lost months of work. The winchester is aged 15 and runs and runs and runs - stutter what is that a new sandwich spread? Yes it stutters - running "Pioneer Space Sim", but not an emulator like jzIntv. And mostly it stutters in Pioneer (Phoenix for my release) because of my intense use of dynamic geometry and that i kept exactly because of this the scripted model resource. I like to let the ships come alive, likewise my toycars had opening hoods with a motor inside i like to be able to open the hood of a space ship. Or to position a nice female pilot in it. To have a rotating navigation robot and other "useless" things, like turning on lights in the cockpit if you engage the landing gear, i even would like moving gauges. I did all this but well they didn't liked my heavy use of dynamic geometry. While to be honest, as much dynamic geometry i have and as much as i turned my scripts repo to a sort of modelling kit it won't use a tenth of the power a open gl postprocessing needs only for some nice light effect. To read and interprete the scripts it needs power that's true, but really that's white bread for the cpu, chamomile tea. A fog which intentionally should help to gain speed (cuts the horizon) but as postprocessing it wastes processor time useless. Finally, it's sad i lost contact to this australian dev who got aware of me and liked to make a professional game with me, because he immediatly understood what worried me. Even because of the broken machine and because of a misunderstanding, bad service of my provider, they deleted my e-mail account. "oh sorry" was all they said. If i would be a company i would make a lawsuit of this, can you imagine what loss this means for someone who develops or co-develops? I lost one Life with the e-mail account! I lost my presence and reputation in web. For this reputation i have to start again and can only hope another one will be attented by my work. But because all this is such stressing and dissatisfying i'm here on atariage to have fun and don't have to think of the bad things which happened in the past. To play on my Intellivision and to forget. To maybe kick myself in the ass and get into IntyBASIC. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, it just doesn't works as i expect or i expect the wrong? To repeat the screenshot shows where my problem is, i can only enter to the equation, why i don't know. However i will give it a third try, even if it's already a bit a waste of time it's not important. And my idea was not to ask for help to get the scratchpad running for Number Jumble, my idea was to talk about a couple of games of which i think they are worth to be played, specialities, unfinished or maybe underrated games. I rather would like to hear: "Hey i tried this game and my experiences are..." (which was in fact mr_me's first post) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Right now i think (last night) maybe it would have been wiser to start a thread for each instead to talk about different games in one thread. I thought "me i can handle to read about" but what is with the rest? They will probably be confused by different topics. Who would i have to ask if im like to change the title of the thread? it would make sense to post only about Number Jumble here.
