I got my 7800 in a thrift store but the place I got food fight was called a trading post it had video games electronics and guns it was mainly 2600 games but food fight was in with them.

I agree food fight is great one of the biggest surprises for me when I found it cheap at a thrift store

I know that that is true but for me right now the price for the multi cart on ali express is a lot more affordable. It's just knowing it's a cheap manufactured product I wanted to make sure it was worth the time and money to get it

It had me at ff7 knowing it's first party I can assume they are going to pick some good games my thing is wonder what the ratio of game genres Will be because you put to many one kind of game on it it will make some people not want it. I think trying to find that sweet spot of game types is the hardest part. Plus Sony said you won't be able to add other games on it do you think they completely locked it out or just harder to do then the nes and snes was

I was wondering if anyone picked this one up and can tell me how the games play. I Mainly want this one because it has translated games and pal only games that never got released here. Like ff2 and 3 it seems like it was the only one of these multi carts to include them. I know it's a bootleg thing so I was just wondering if anyone did buy it was it worth it for those games or is the game play screwed up for them that makes it impossible to really play them.

I look at the paddle one I know it's technically activision game but kaboom should have been added one of the best Atari 2600 paddle games

One thing with a Pac man one even the new one why they never include miss Pac man jacks pacific put out a miss Pac man one after but the new one shaped like Pac man feels like miss Pac man should have been added

if that is true more power to him. Any way to show some love for the 7800. I do know of a reason for a great looking collection. A scene in a store front showing the system and games on display.

For the most part the nes besides the hack most are reproductions of games that were not released in North America. So for that part the 7800 home brew market is the same games not put on the system or not put out well so someone makes it hence why we now have such great arcade ports out now. The other thing is Atari as a community embraces the creativity of the users a lot more then Nintendo does. Atari is like great good job we won't stifle you. In fact they embrace it. Look at the last at games 2600 portable. They used the Pac-man 4K homebrew in the system instead of the original 2600 release because they knew what came out now was superior. Nintendo is like no bad cease and desist how dare you we will sue. So I think you will always see more stuff for Atari

These do appeal to me but part of me is on a wait and see mentality. Especially if some of the rumors are true about what could come out next year. I do see this being something your regular guy could put in his man cave.

I never did any type of programming so I didn't know if there is any tortorials or anything to help it all be new to me but seeing what people can accomplish I'd love to learn.

I would love a Williams twin-stick arcade cabinet. Robotron, Smash TV, Total Carnage, I know it wouldn't be added to same cabinet but if they could add Cloak and dagger too.

Even so in hindsight the home brew market shows indefinitely what kind of potential the 7800 could have had in the 80s what kind of power the system truly had imagine in the 80s if the XD version of donkey Kong could have came out. Atari could have been. Hey look who got the best most complete version on donkey kong on their system. I bet that would have really pissed off Nintendo.
