I personally think these look cool the height thing don't bother me much still might be the answer for someone's man cave that a full sized cabinet just is not feasible. I'd love to get one waiting to hear more reviews and to see what else will come out. I may get one in the future but if I can only get one I'd hate to get it then see an other one I'd want more to come out. I do think there is a market for this.

I was looking up stuff too from what I gathered. You can not load roms on it, but in sure someone will figure out how. You have to put the cabinet together kind of like a peice of boxed furniture. Seems the controls for each cabinet is set up for the selection of games that come with it. I.E. the centipede one is with a trac ball. The Atari vector graphics one has a spinner for tempest and the button lay out for asteroids. Also seems more are in the works for later

Since I got mine I truly feel if anyone was looking into Atari the 7800 is the way to go it plays the 2600 games you can use the 2600 controllers but it opens up to other great games the 2600 just does not have. Plus it will open up to the great 7800 home brews.

Quick question will the star path games play off the sd card -
Do you think if Atari did produce the NES in America like what was initially being worked out it would have been as big as a phenomenon. Also how would this have effected the 7800 would some NES exclusive games like super Mario bros saw a 7800 port?

maxdrive replied to Azathoth's topic in Dedicated Systems
Those Msi games look so bad the joy sticks are way to big and who would want to play a mega man game that way. I work at a Walmart those were there as well as the data east my arcade game, those micro arcade cabinets as well as the at game consoles -
I was wondering this my self born In 81 family had a 5200 I loved that thing jungle hunt still a fav of mine. Got an NES later on. It's cool to hear about younger generations appreciating what came before.

Comparing the NES and 7800 on a technical level
maxdrive replied to DracIsBack's topic in Atari 7800
back when Nintendo hit the market it seems the taste in games were changing that people wanted a more complex experience with a game. Like super Mario bros and more so the legend of Zelda it seems more and more people wanted a game you could sit down and play for a few hours not just ten minutes. Atari seemed to needed to come up with something of their own like Zelda a more immersive game. -
Well what about the two buttons on 7800 controller left for left flipper right for the right
-
I think the option for during the 7800 two buttons would be cool give a pinball feel

I still think people could have got around that. Look what a lot of them did like Konami making Ultra. One of these third party's could have made a third or even forth company if they wanted too to put games on the other systems. But even so atari them selves had tengen so why didn't they put out any of the games on their own system. Look at all the sega games Atari put on the NES yet none for your own system. -
The game is looking so good will be a buy for me for sure. I was wondering how is the pinball part going will it use the two fire buttons for the flippers?
