  1. Hi,

I've been happily playing with my Atari 2600 for about two/three weeks now, and today I've run into a problem. A friend came over and I wanted to play Space Invaders. Well, while trying to find a suitable joystick (I had to try them out as they had been in an attic for a while prior to this and I haven't cleaned them yet) a hungry joystick took out a pin with it. I tried just putting the pin back into its place, but that didn't work (I didn't think it would). Can I buy a regular serial port for a computer and solder that in its place? What would really be nice if anybody had it is a wiring diagram so I could just repair the one pin by soldering. But does anybody know of anything else I can do to repair this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris
