  1. Modded Ataris don't work in B1 mode on my screens, so you don't get the low lag or scanlines.
  2. I need to buy 4 XRGB-2s or XRGB-2plus . Willing to buy or will trade one of my XRGB-3s + $100 ( I have 3 available.) PM me for offers. Look me up on eBay under thetallguy24 just to be sure. I have a great rating.
  3. As an added note, I played around and ran my Atari S-Video to the XRGB 3 in B1 mode then ran the VGA through the Gonbes I have. Now it works. However, this is not an ideal setup as I want to use the XRGB 3 for all my consoles. Any reason why it would work this way and not just solely using the XRGB 3?
  4. I've got 14 consoles, and I'm looking at getting an Extron Crosspoint to connect all of them too. My Atari and CV would run S-Video to BNC, while the rest of my consoles would be SCART to BNC. I'd then run component to my plasma. I'm also looking to find an SLG HD to get scanlines in component (if I can find one now). Besides cables, do I need any other devices to complete this setup?
  5. Well not exactly. I went and got a new s-video/composite cable just to be sure, and its got color again on the CRT TV and my scalers. Still no luck with the XRGB3
  6. Actually, I plugged this back into my CRT, and its black and white in both S-Video and Composite no matter what the TIA Switch is set too. I guess the guy who sold it to me sold a bad mod.
  7. 7800 works fine plugged into a CRT TV. With the XRGB-3, I get no picture at all. Strange, because the S-Video and Composite inputs work with my NES and SNES. Additionally, the S-Video of the 7800 only outputs black and white when I try using it in my Extron scaler or DVDO line doubler.
  8. I just got an Atari 7800 modded with s-video. I want to hook it up to my plasma, and I have an XRGB-3. It works great with all my other consoles, even in s-video, but so far no luck. Doesn't work with the composite out either. Anybody have any experience with this?
  9. My understanding (from reading reviews like Fudoh's) is the XRGB-3 has less input lag and I can use RGB scart directly for all my RGB consoles. I also want to connect my original NES and modded Atari 2600 to it. I like the idea of the BenQ RL2460HT because it has an HDMI out for recording with no lag and VGA input and 4:3 setting.
  10. Looking at buying an XRGB-3. I want to run in B1 mode for older consoles, so I need to run VGA out. The BenQ monitors have VGA input, but will it work with the XRGB-3? Anybody tried this? Or maybe with an ASUS like VS239H or something similar?
  11. CRTs are generally pretty heavy. It seems that even a normal 20" CRT TV is around 40-50 lbs. Did they ever make anything lighter than that in that size range? It'd really be nice to find one to lug up the stairs that doesn't require a pulley system lol
  12. How does that allow for testing input lag when there aren't any inputs taking place?
  13. What are your experiences with them? Or is it blasphemy to consider the thought of playing NES or Genesis games on a SNES? LOL
  14. Well I am trying to create a visual reference of the lag difference with the equipment I have. I have a couple spare controllers lying around and wanted to see if I could play lets say SMB simultaneously on both consoles using one controller. Record it at 60fps, then show in slow motion the visual difference in lag.
  15. Won't the LED need a power source or will the controller suffice?
  16. I was wanting to test the Retron 5 lag on an ASUS VE247h monitor vs SNES/GENESIS SCART To HDMI on the same monitor. I don't have lag testing equipment, but I do have a camera and video editing software, so I can break it down frame by frame to see if there is a visual difference. The issue is trying to have them play simultaneously, so I was wondering if it were possible to splice one SNES or Genesis controller to having two connectors, so I can play both consoles simultaneously with one controller. Is that splicing a controller like that feasible?
  17. Before anybody starts trolling about using CRTs over PC monitors, I just want to know if anyone on here has used a modded Atari with the Enko Composite to HDMI converter or something similar and had it work on a modern LCD/LED PC Monitor. I need to record some gameplay, so its important that I can use a PC Monitor. What I have currently is an ASUS VE247H. I know the converter works with my SNES and Sega Model 1 (but only with the 32X hooked up to it). I do not have a modded Atari though, and was wanting to know if I got mine modded, if it would work as well.
  18. Is there a website or schedule anywhere that's up to date on all the retro gaming conventions located in the US?
  19. So could I wire the tip to an atari 2600 adapter? I have an extra one of those
  20. The issue is the wires are messed up right at the base as you can see in the pic
  21. There aren't any screws, just a seam. Any ideas how to open it without permanently damaging it? I want to try and repair the wiring
  22. So this would probably work? http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Picture-Monitor-Projectors-TV-LCDHR/dp/B0011NM17K Would a digital converter with analog passthrough work?
