  1. Please add me to the list when possible. With separate case. Thanks !
  2. I found both regulator circuits have parasitic drain on the batteries when "off" also. It might be slightly less with the original schottky doide system. I never leave batteries in anything that might sit so there is no problem for me anyway. You might get double the stand by battery life with the stock set up. (2-3 weeks) I prefer the Lynx to shut off with less then 6 volts also. 4.5 volts is rough on it with the extra current at the lower voltage. I have 2 fried Lynx here with bad schottky diodes. They looked taken care of but it doesn't matter if it's getting 9+ volts long enough.
  3. I have to say the Ultimate Flashback is the real deal ! The Intellivision buzz is one of the great points about it. It brings me back to 1982 when I hear it... I'm a stickler for original hardware but I was very curious about this one since it uses the closest emulator to original hardware. I haven't been able to tell the difference in game play between original stuff and the Ultimate Flashback but I do need more time on it to really tell. The picture quality is right there with RGB Which is a real strong point for me since the RF output has always been a big dissapointment especially back in the 80's after playing arcade games. If anyone is considering one of these units I recommend it ! It's nice to be able to preserve original hardware and have fun with one of these. Another thing is being able to run other emulators if the need arises. I'm hoping to find out about that soon...
  4. Well replacing the power supply caps should be a priority in any vintage game console... Especially when the originals are made in china or taiwan. If they aren't leaking and/or balloning they usually loose a lot of their rated capacitance.
  5. Juice2839 is definately the designer of the Colecovision and Intellivision RGB mods. I bought an RGB Intellivision II from him and on my sony PVM it has arcade if not better video quality. It's right there with the NESRGB and 2600RGB mods. I am planning on posting pics if the video quality as soon as I have a good camera to take worthy pics.
  6. I don't think it'll be a problem for McWill to sell digital video mods for Those consoles either. It'a an amazing difference going from a composite back up camera LCD video screen to a modern digital video LCD screen. It's like going from composite video on a NES with a consumer TV to a NES with RGB on a Sony BVM. Even with a small 3.5" screen it's that impressive of a difference.
  7. After all the trouble I go through converting everyhting to RGB, VGA, and digital video having composite video on the NOMAD is ridiculous. Count me in for a NOMAD mod when thry're in production McWill.
  8. I'd like to thank McWill again for a great product ! The Mod screen brought my Lynx I I've owned since 1990 back to life ! Nothing beats digital video quality...
  9. I have the regulator you shown in several items. My 1967 440 dodge dart instrument cluster, My top and side load nes with nesrgb, And Sega genesis model 1 (2 regulaors in that one of course). I like the R-785 because it's small and it's a 95% efficient switching regulator. I've tested it to 1 amp and it seems to like it but it's only rated for 1 amp. It fits in the portable consoles like it was made for them...
  10. I was having trouble with the LM1117. so after 2 of them causing weird stuff I reinstalled Q8 just in case I missed something, but it made no difference and is not needed. the R-785 was the answer as the 7805 was getting too hot for my liking even with a heat sink. the Lynx only pulls 350ma but the heat from the 7805 felt like it was pulling 50 amps... But yes it has McWills awesome screen also !
  11. This is what I ended up with on my 2 Lynx II's and Lynx I so far. I looked at that German site then figured out how I wanted to execute it. I found that the stock set up was allowing 9-11 volts to the chips with an offical Atari ac adapter... I'm also trying the R-785 on my 7800 since they are known to have a loose heat sink and it falls off taking the 7805 with it after some time.
  12. Hey everyone. I installed the screen and it's a huge improvment ! I attached a couple pics. Hopefully they work... I cannot thank Mcwill enough ! Looking to purchase more and hoping this can be done for the model 1 also.
  13. Hello everyone ! I'm new to this forum. I'm usually into automotive mods but I mod video game consoles for fun also which brings me here. Mcwill I'm trying to order a kit from you so I can mod my Lynx 2 since Dec 14 2014. I don't know if your sending orders to the US yet since I'm in California. I hope you didn't forget about me !
