  1. The 7800 is hooked up to a CRT for the first time in over a decade, and I have to say that it actually looks pretty damn good on that TV and certainly miles better than it did on either our LCD or plasma.  Huge thanks to @KeeperofLindblum for passing the TV on to me; now I can finally start in on the 'does-it-work-or-not' 5200.

  2. Anybody manage to snag an Analogue Pocket?
They went on sale about 20 minutes ago (10:00 AM central), and they were sold out in like 8 minutes...

I mean you did better than me... I bought a Retron 5 on eBay.
Not really an equivalent purchase... -_-

What a coincidence! I ALSO saved $330 today!

I currently plan to buy a random other item to satiate my want to buy things. I'm undecided on exactly what, but I'll most likely spend sub-$100.

Well they were prepared, but I don't think any amount of prep would have been enough to cover the hype/demand for this. I'm a bit bummed, but I'm not DISTRAUGHT over it. Glad to know someone managed one!

  5. Got an email earlier that the Framemeister XRGB Mini has finally stopped production! End of an era... If you're wanting one, you best strike now or you'll pay quite a bit more when they run out!

That's straight from the company who makes it. I figure most people have moved on to the OSSC though. <_<

This is the first I ever heard of that. I don't see it on the Products list so doesn't seem hopeful at the moment. :(

  9. What is the perfect size for a cartridge?

      KeeperofLindblum

I'm gonna have to say Game Boy. Big enough to not easily be lost, but they already have their own perfect plastic case~

      Iwantgames you ruined it! D:

atari2600land it is in Modern Gaming

Keatah I don't really care a lot about it either. Just found it funny how much the forum is ignoring it. (probably because of the negativity and crapiness of Limited Run Games)

Yeaaah the game is cool, but the inclusions in the package are bare minimum at just the disc.

  13. My GameCube is being a big friggin' jerk. You guys got any suggestions on how to make this thing cooperate? I've got a Game Boy Player in the mail but no start-up disc. I thought I could get around it with the Game Boy Interface, but my Cube disagrees. http://kiblitzing.blogspot.com/2017/08/boxed-and-cubed-in.html

If you're wanting to load GBI without worrying about the modchip, you can buy a physical memory card that accepts SD. This allows you to load some basic homebrew including the Game Boy Interface software. Only bummer is the company who sells it is based in UK (may or may not be an issue for you), and it takes a few weeks to get it.

  14. Why are there so many consoles/computers sold "untested as I have no way to test" but come with all cords, etc.? It's clear these video game sellers either lack a tv, or lack hands.

    1. KeeperofLindblum

      KeeperofLindblum

I bought an untested lot of various video game consoles. Three of them were Game Boys/Game Boy Advances....

They couldn't spare batteries to test them it seems.
