Didn't the 32x need some kind of passthrough cable?

32X only drew the 3D polygon layer, and superimposed it with the Genesis output. That could be simulated in FPGA hardware. Seems likely Analogue didn't implement it if they aren't talking about it, which is a minor bummer. I guess we'll see when the site comes back up.

It can also play Game Gear games which I'm very excited about.

Dang it! I haven't been happy with any of my other HD solutions for my Genesis.

Well, I did the test. My main TV (Panasonic) won't support those cables, **Sigh**. I don't know if my bedroom TV will support them or not, Or if I'd really use them there. I may do the test there just to check compatibility.
