Bought a PSP from FujiSkunk.
Great pricing, shipping was well priced. Sent very quickly and effectively!
Everything arrived nicely bundled too.

Would buy from again~

So I'm a step closer! I picked up Armored Core 2, ATV Offroad Fury 2, and Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec.
Just gotta wait for the cable to come in now...
-
I'm usually not up on these things, I just randomly posted this (and one other) recently. That link posted above is in Auction Central, and certainly not everyone looks there.
I'm not against a dedicated thread, just trying to help.
You're all good.

I just keep seeing these popping up, so it doesn't seem like it'll just be a few codes and done. I figured it's worth having a dedicated thread as a lot of people take advantage of this deal. Could also subscribe to that and be informed every time it happens

EDIT - Yes I did see the link up above~
-
Considering this keeps happening, shouldn't someone just make a specific thread for it and bump it as it happens? Seems silly to keep making individual threads as this is happening like once a week now.
-
Please let us know how it turns out when you try this!..are you going to use CRTs?
I just ordered the cable! I'll have to get a couple copies of Armored Core and maybe another cheap title and see how well it works. (Cheap as I'll need two copies of each game.)
No CRTs or otherwise I would consider Time Crisis instead. Course the bigger problem there is finding the Guncons...
-
Huh. I didn't know about this until I saw this thread. I just checked and turns out I have two PS2s with this port on them.
I wonder how long those Firewire cables are...EDIT - I now have a plan to do this so I can discuss it once it's done, but I'll have to buy the cable. It will be a few days. Gonna test it with Armored Core.

I like several ideas about GameStop, but what I hate is how much is dedicated to not-game stuff now.
I really only stop by because I know a few guys who work there well enough to chat with them.
Beyond that, I just keep stopping in with hopes of a good sale (Buy 2, Get 1 Free), or seeing something marked down to a decent enough price.
Otherwise the place is pretty garbage and is generally a waste of my time and money.

PM sent for PSP!

Playing me some Stardew Valley~
-
So they're finally listing some proper AA material... I'll probably grab Golf Story if I don't miss the sale.

EDIT - Oceanhorn is another good release they brought up. It is actually pretty good and gave me a "Wind Waker" vibe when I played the demo. Considering they'll keep restocking it, I might have to get that as well.
They have an initial preorder that'll ship out within a month, but the next batch isn't available until later this year.

I had a hard choice between PS1 and PS3.
I greatly enjoyed the PS3's time out... but I also bought a LOT of PS1 classics, so I'm gonna have to give the PS1 my vote.
I wasn't a huge PS2 person, but I did enjoy the bounty of RPGs it gave! (Much like it's father the PS1 before it) -
Reading up on it, it's not. You still have the traditional battles, gyms, gym cronies and leaders, and the rogue trainers who pick fights in the wild. The Go mechanic largely appears to be the catch mechanics etc when trying to acquire/heal a pokemon. And it is full priced at $60 looking at amazon with the preorder, but if you have prime that drops to $48. So I guess, you're perhaps out.
Recent news has shown that pokemon go is still largely profitable and I think much of it has been the last six months of some high quality refinements across the board along with the addition of weekly, monthly, and random events that make it not feel like a drag to keep playing. The big Go mechanic is that you can transfer your GO monsters into the Switch game, so if you have some serious badass stuff trained up like some beefy Dragonite, or a Moltres legendary, it's fair game it potentially appears.
I guess I'm just being finicky on it because I was hoping for more of a "main series" title than this. I'll probably consider getting it as it'll be interesting to see how they do it.
Worst case I figure I'll wait for another main series entry. My understanding is that they're still planning that for the Switch, but this title is coming first.
Now as for actual details, I read that the "Let's Go" isn't going to have all the online features like the average Pokemon game has had for the last few gens. It'll have a way to trade and battle online, but my understanding is that it won't be like the GTS (Global Trade System).
-
I'm fine with the idea of simplifying the catching process, but I think my problem is...
This feels more like "Pokemon Go Switch Edition" than a legit Pokemon game. It's probably sort of a final boost to try and keep Pokemon Go relevant.
As long as it's not a full priced game, I could accept the issues I have with it. (IE if it's more than $40 then I'm out)
-
Anybody else seen the trailer for the new Pokémon title for Switch? I got the email about this last night, and... I have mixed feelings.

I'll wait until a few people respond before I form any kind of response as I'd like to see if I'm in the minority or majority before I get all angry or stupid about this.

I mean the only comment I really have on this is...
(Warning, it gets really weird partway in so not for everybody!)
-
I had to look it up, but there was an episodic remake of the game "Moon" for the 3DS.
I played a little bit of it. It was interesting, but I think what I played was a demo and never went back.
It's called "Moon Chronicles" on the 3DS.
-
Awesome, thanks KoL, I have even tougher enemies coming? Sweet. But honestly, thanks for the advice, I'll try.
That I am unsure of. I just wasn't very good at not getting hit, so I'd get past that part and have like under 50% HP.
Right after that you get a homing missile weapon, but you almost immediately get swarmed by a huge number of small fighters that come in waves.
I kept getting hounded and beaten... so I honestly never made it past that stage. I got rid of the VR a little after that. (Unrelated to my defeat in this game. lol)

Man I loved this game... but the difficulty ramps up SO DANG QUICKLY!
I got past the part I believe you are stuck on, but I didn't ever beat the level... It's a shame cause it's a pretty cool game overall.
ANYWAYS! The only tip I can really give is that you have to time your shields well as they drain not only from damage but also from time. You can't hold them up constantly and need to rapidly change from firing your guns and missiles to holding up the shields. Although they are hard to hit with your guns, it does seem to damage them (although quite slowly). The best time to hit them is missiles when they stop, but they tend to start firing when they stop... You'll figure out a good pattern. Just keep trying!
Fun fact! It just gets harder after that...

I have both the amiibo and a Switch, but I just happen to not have Shovel Knight on the Switch (IN DUE TIME!)
That being said... I looked at Nintendo's entry for Shovel Knight for the Switch, and it does say it's amiibo compatible!

Incorrect. The announcement won't be made until Monday, but all signs point to Pixeljunk Monsters 2. Saturday Morning RPG for Switch has always been scheduled to open preorders on the 25th.
No, they postponed the announcement until Monday with it going on sale Friday. Saturday Morning RPG had already been announced to go on sale the 25th of May.
Oh... My bad. >_<
Thanks for correcting me on this!
Also... Pixeljunk Monsters 2 doesn't seem like a big announcement? I know of the Pixeljunk "brand" I guess.
EDIT - I apologize again. I saw the second email and glossed past the message of postponement...
-
So I'm unsure who all checked it this morning, but it looks like the "mystery" item was just a re-release of Saturday Morning RPG.
They re-released PS4 and PSVita, but they also added a Switch version.
Not as big of announcement as I thought it'd be? Honestly, by the time I checked, they seemed to already be sold out of the PS4 and PSVita versions. :/

TL;DR - Just format the system and accept the digital loss.
I mean Tanooki basically hit the nail on the head here.
I think it's technically a breach of agreement to sell your account in any manner.
Best case scenario is changing all the information on it, but if anything ever happened, those downloaded titles are basically gone.
I would just sell the plain system unless you're selling to a really close friend or something you see often enough it's not an ordeal. Anybody beyond that and you might as well do a full system wipe.
3DS might be hard to get much money for since there's so many of them out now, but the WiiU could have value as they aren't produced anymore. In great condition plus some physical titles, might have something there. (IMO obviously)

Linking two PS2 Slims?

For all 2 or 3 of you who cared, I finally got the cable in!
I hooked everything up, and it's actually pretty cool. It was all very quick and pretty painless.
I will say though... the cable I found was super short and kinda hard to plug in. The shape of the plug is weird and a weirdly tight fit. On top of that, I think it's only like 3-4 feet long, so I had to place the units almost right next to each other.
The only setup I could do for this was my HDTV with one PS2 on component and an odd security monitor CRT with composite. (Despite what it is, it's got a good picture.)
All of the games worked well enough, and it's a pretty cool experience. However... It's incredibly impractical. The best case scenario is two decent CRTs, Time Crisis 2/3 with Guncons, and the space plus plugins that will fit it all.
I'm kinda glad I only used like $50 to try this all out (mostly the cost of buying two copies each of three games).
If you have the space and games AND consoles, it's pretty cool. However, I can't see dedicating an entire setup to this.
EDIT - Attached a couple pics just to show it. Not much footage just showing the setup. (Sorry for dark room)
EDIT 2 - Oh yeah! I figured I should mention. I bought the cable on eBay, and there was someone selling an extender device for this, but that means you'd have to buy two cables and the extender, so you're putting quite an investment in for like 20 games or so.
