  1. Seeing as I have the Super NT now, is there anybody here who would be interested in buying my SNES Classic?

I have all of the items that came in the box It's been opened and used, but I doubt it has 2 hours of play time on it. I'm not going to overcharge, but there is a slight catch... You'd be buying the SNES Classic and this carrying case I got for it.

Seeing as I'm not a scalping butt, I'll probably let it go for $100 plus shipping (IE actual cost of both items).

I'd prefer to give someone here a chance who doesn't already own one. I guess the best version is to leave a post on here requesting it and then message me.

EDIT - Please try to be honest about this. -_-

I'm hoping to get one to someone who genuinely wants one and can't find one.

EDIT 2 - Feel free to message about this incase it falls through, but otherwise this is currently pending with someone!

  2. Anytime I looked in the past about a SNES HDMI mod. I can never seem to find any truly relevant information or products. What few things I see don't look pretty... (Old NintendoAge Thread) That's the best I found just looking about quickly.

I have a bad feeling that with RGB readily available on the console, component cables through HDRetrovision (rarely), and multiple HDMI SNES options out now... We probably won't get a true mod like the NES did.

Also wow I didn't know the Supa Retron HD was actually out? (GameStop Link) I just imagine it's a weird mixture of acceptable and hot garbage.

  3. Seems crazy he decided to put a dummy jack and a LED in there with a highly customized eye candy shell to ask an added $50 for it. Still a solid choice though that gets the same job done without chop shopping your system.

    Indeed it is!

I'm gonna assume the dummy jack is to help stabilize it and put less pressure on the digital port.

Considering that one looks a bit more professional (read fancy), I'd probably go with it if/when I decide to get an external solution as well.

  4. I got my Super NT in today... It's pretty awesome.

I don't have a way to capture, but I can confirm it looks and feels really quality.

My favorite part so far is that it feels INCREDIBLY sturdy. Like I was surprised at the overall build quality and heft of which the console has.

  5. I always just used free mcboot and an external usb hdd (still use that setup on my psx-desr)

but now with the ability to use a sata drive its just better all around

    *snip*

ps you can have the system boot direct into opl with an external usb hdd u just have to change the boot options in fmcboot configurator

    Thanks for that info!

I might go ahead and invest in that setup for a second PS2 I have. This will give me a bit more options and I can test them to decide which setup I like more.

  6. The Free McBoot application can run off a memory card and lets you run from fat and slim consoles.

It's mostly for booting games from a hard drive, but it looks like you can boot from a flash drive as well. (I use Free McBoot but haven't messed with running games off USB)

All you need is for someone to install Free McBoot on a memory card you own (or buy one that someone has preloaded with it).

  7. Bumping for last time! Minor price decrease across the board. Anything still here on Friday will most likely go to eBay.

Prices will be more there, but I was hoping someone here would pounce. *shrugs*

Am I just striking at the wrong time? I'm honestly unsure. I realize my pictures aren't always the greatest, but I try to be open about any issues or flaws with items.

  8. Minor bump! Lot of items have been sold, but I still have what I have.

Supaboy is pending. Make me an offer on the rest of it!

EDIT - Does anybody have suggestions on selling the PlayStation Underground volumes?

  9. While I loved my Framemeister, I'll say this is definitely one of the quirkier features on it.

You can save your profile settings and re-apply them by loading them, but there's not really a great way to set and save individual ports. you almost have to re-apply your settings to the entire unit every time. (I thought I read something that if you try to set individual ports it can miss some settings, but don't take my word on that!)

Might check My Life in Gaming's youtube channel for some advice. They have an "RGB Master Class" that covers the Framemeister pretty well and I think they go into detail on this.

Afraid I'm unsure how to set up the actual profiles as I simply just downloaded and used the ones made by firebrandx...

I no longer own one, so that's really all I can suggest or say on it at this time. >_<

  10. I have the official Gamecube component cables, but this looks to be an even better solution if it works as well as it sounds. I just feel like there must be a catch... somewhere! btw, where would I buy (or preorder) and how much is it?

The last time I got a quote on this it was around $100 or so shipped. Might have gone up slightly since then.

I had the internal mod done, and with the cost of parts and modding, I spent a little over $200 to have it done. This is the cheaper option and has the benefit of being transferable.

I still prefer the internal mod myself, but I'm fully understanding of liking this external one instead.

Probably the only benefit I have is being able to access the menu without a remote.

  11. FWIW it's probably the flyback if it's making a high pitched whine while plugged in.

Is that something easy to fix? I don't really have the best knowledge to work on something like this, and my lack of free time doesn't help that either.

Of course there's also my understanding that CRTs can be dangerous to fix.

  12. Just a minor bump.

I realize most won't be interested in this as I can assume the Oklahoma retro gaming community probably isn't that massive and probably even fewer frequent AtariAge.

We will probably end up tossing this on Friday if nobody speaks up by then.

(I don't feel like dealing with Craigslist nuts or I'd go there next.)

  13. There's been quite a few (horror) stories of people buying from Gamestop's "Retro Games" and getting either a bootleg or swapped title.

They have comparative pricing on their stuff and allow returns/refunds if wrong, but it seems like you're taking a huge risk no matter if you buy carts or discs.

Carts are likely to be bootlegs or swapped titles. I feel like discs could easily be burned and labelled well and therefore fake.

It was an interesting idea, and it could have had great results.... if GameStop been willing to put the time, money, and effort into it. Pat the NES Punk has some older videos covering what's gone wrong. Let me link the more relevant one below.
