I'd definitely love something like this. Regardless of how well it does, it'd be the easiest method of playing Game Boy material on a modern TV while using actual cartridges. Would hope it would run better than the Retron 5 as well... But it'll probably be the same thing. -_- I keep wanting a Retron 5 almost exclusively for this, so I'm hoping this is better and cheaper.

SMALL BUMP! I've added bundle prices for all games left. Removed some sold items. Bumped down price of GamerzTek SNES. And... I upped the price of RGBNES. I was cheating myself at $200. I don't necessarily want it gone. I was hoping to replace it with the AVS so I could have HDMI out of ease. Message sent.

It's pretty good in general. Kinda makes me think of a clone 360 controller but doesn't feel cheap. It isn't the best d-pad ever, but it has a softer feel and isn't overly clicky. Overall, it's actually pretty good for what it is and is even rechargable with a decent battery.

I remember seeing this posted somewhere and ready to hate on Nintendo immediately. Then I noticed a couple forums and Reddit posting that the Twitter account was fake... And realized I was being an idiot. Glad it's not down or gone!

Well I don't watch much TV so I don't see ads. I was thinking more of the "Internets" coverage and various videos on YouTube as well as their Super Bowl Ad.

Actually, you don't have to worry about going to Gamestop if you honestly want a switch. I'm friends with people at a local Walmart, and they've shown me some pictures they took since they already got the units in. Beyond any preorders, they actually had 8 more of them in stock... That's pretty impressive for a small town (comparatively) Walmart. I'm pretty sure Nintendo isn't going to pull their usual stock nonsense with the Switch. They're going to flood the market with numbers. If/When they do sell out, it'll purely be because it was heavily marketed. GRANTED... I still don't plan to buy a launch one. No more launch consoles/games for me!

I ordered from Retrogate as well. They aren't great about keeping you up to date. They did deliver but it was pretty slow all together. I had to look through the site several times. I think it eventually updates but doesn't really give you an update.

The only one I've really extensively played is F-Zero GX on GameCube. Game had such a great sense of speed that it's nuts! Can't wait to get my GameCube HDMI modded and then it'll look INSANE.

I was skeptical about RE7 (RE4forlife), but I gave it a shot as my friend bought it on PC. ... I regret the skepticism. It's pretty great. It has a lot of call backs to the original without ignoring the more current state of how games should be. It's fun, challenging, scary, and just looks great. I can't really get myself to throw down $60 for it, but I would definitely pick it up on sale.

I voted for Mario Kart 64 for nostalgia but I would next pick 7 and 8 as a tie. Although I will say that 8 is realistically just 7 with better graphics and some extra characters.

It's a pretty cheaply made device for sure. The alternate one I got from China is a better build. (I read around and found out that the Media Launcher used to be better quality but got crappier with newer batches.) It works great for the GBA homebrew or emulators but does basically nothing if you are wanting to play "backups". Only bummer is the China built one is ONLY good for playing backups because it just allows larger SD cards. The SD media launcher won't recognize the alternate SD memory card. It's still a good investment IMO but just a shame that you're paying $25-35 for a cheaply made thing that's outclassed by a $5 similar item from China. :I

I would like to say there is an easy fix for this, but I never found it when I had a Wii do this. I looked all over the place with various searches and the "black screen" seems to be a pretty damning thing for a Wii. I ended up tossing it because it was just an extra unit I got for free and was trying to mod. I remember seeing a few possible "fixes" but they required the unit be modded. Unless this Wii has your content and is just near and dear to you, I'd suggest just starting with a new one. They are pretty cheap now and I haven't really seen a repair service for them...

Best part of that link was the question about Mother 3. I laughed. As far as the "supply" issue goes, I'm pretty much banning myself from buying a console at launch. I'm almost always disappointed when I do. I'll be fine for a few months without the switch. Then it will be easy to find and buy.

I played it some time ago, and I generally remember liking what I played. I did have some difficult times and frustrations, but I think the issue was my skill level being kinda crap... Otherwise beautiful game and fun 2d action RPG.

Weirdness was the wrong word to use unfortunately. Mostly just had weird minor issues when they were loading and then would work. The GCN is probably lacking in power so some of the emulators load slow or just run poorly. (N64 and PS1 were the ones with issues for me.)
