I am going to give Final Fantasy XV a shot. They have finally announced a date of Sept 20th.
I played the original demo and the updated one. They weren't drastic changes, but it did feel improved in many areas. If they did an update since then... I haven't tried it again.Edit - Corrected a mistyped day.

What is couch play?
splitscreen multiplayer?
Yes. Sorry that is the term I have seen used lately so that is why I used it.

Guys, I think the "extra controllers for $5" isn't selling the controllers by themselves. It's selling them at a deal when you buy a console.
-
Why is it basically dead, overall?
Because the number of couch co-op titles are slowly dwindling down. Very few "big" titles come out that even offer multiplayer on a single console. At best, most of them offer multiplayer through "1 person per console" or some nonsense like that. You can't even take two people online on one Xbox One. The second person has to have an active gold account for you to do that.
From what I've seen and experienced first hand, they don't want multiple people playing on one console anymore. They want multiple people on multiple consoles. You can't do things like a system link anymore and having multiple controllers seems pointless when fewer and fewer titles even offer multiplayer on a single console.
I mean... Name five upcoming titles that are set to release on console that offer couch co-op. If you are able to name them, it's probably going to be all indie titles (I've got nothing wrong with indie titles). The WiiU is going to win out overall considering it's one of the few that actively supports multiplayer in a group with their party-style games. (Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Mario Party, New Super Mario Bros)

I picked it up at the current discounted release price.
I also lost track of time and ended up spending like 2ish hours playing it straight up.
Game is a LOT Of fun and very weird story (think I got it but unsure?).
It really makes you think out your moves... and then you accidentally back up into a bullet.
Definitely recommend to someone who likes the idea of a "puzzle FPS" -
Couch co-op is basically dead unfortunately. What few games have it are (at best) random indie titles. There's not really any AAA gaming material that's doing co-op on a single console anymore.
However, you can find a fairly complete listing at this site...

You can even search specifically for "Couch Co-op." -
Looks pretty cool!
Very interesting concept as well. Takes something simple and makes it really work out awesomely.

sending pm for MOGA controller.

Nice! I've really been enjoying the game although I haven't been getting the amount of game time I want to play it.
I just saw the mission packs pop up in (of all places) a Gamestop email. I ran off and grabbed them real quick before anybody changed their mind. lol -
Bought a group of the thrift store games. He was quick to test and ship. Showed pictures beforehand. Everything arrived quickly and a great price overall! Would buy from again.

So then should I be able to use my rgb cable for my snes?
Correct. All of the Super Nintendos (minus the Mini) have RGB built into them. You simply use the cable with the proper setup (Framemeister / other RGB-enabling device), and you should be good.
From what I have seen HDMI is absolutely a step up from RGB for the N64. I will hopefully get one of these eventually

Gaaaaaaaaagggghhhhhrrrrrr!
I just bought my RGB N64 from Yurkie not too long ago... If it weren't for that, I'd totally be on board for the HDMI mod.
Considering my N64 doesn't see much use though, I'll probably skip this HDMI mod.

I bought the rgb modded Nes from Yurkie that uses a snes connector to rgb. Why can't I use that same adapter for my snes and n64? The n64 didn't recognize the video? What am I missing
NES and N64 don't have RGB built into them. That's why the NES needs the RGB mod. N64 also needs to be modded for RGB, but it's a bit more selective depending on which mod you do.
The only question I have is... I already have an RGB moded N64, but is the HDMI mod better?

PM sent inquiring on several Xbox and PS2 titles.

Personally, I had fun with the game.
Is it the best Twisted Metal? No.
Is it fun to play? I thought so. I never had any real issues with controls, but I do agree on the whole "let's just make 4 drivers and they do all the vehicles" bit.
I don't get why they couldn't have done what EVERY other Twisted Metal had done up to that point. Really wish they'd release a sequel to it but with lotsa improvements. This style of game is pretty much dead at this point, and it makes me sad...-

There are a lot of Game repro makers on Etsy as well. I can only attest for 8-but evolution though since I bought their cart in person at a convention. Mother 3 in a custom box with paper slip. ~Quality stuff~

Here is a link to their Mother 3.

If you search around, you can find more sellers that do it. Only problem I have now... There seems to be a lot of these sellers popping up now.
Great to have variety but I would argue (based on pictures) that most of these guys either don't make the highest quality releases or they make super quality items that no average person can afford. *cough*RoseColoredGaming*cough*
That is all I will say about them though since I already argued with them and other people in their Facebook page before I gave up.

Sent the Game Gear out on Feb 1st, got it back on Feb 8th.
cowdog360 did a fast and quality job! I'd highly recommend him for replacing Game Gear capacitors~-

Here's a youtube channel where they are mostly exploring the Framemeister, but they've also gone over some various console testing to show how to get the best possible picture.
It almost ALWAYS comes down to the Framemeister and RGB, but sometimes they find some other ways that might be a bit cheaper.I would also highly recommend this eBay seller if you take the Framemeister route.
There are other sites that sell the kind of cable you'd need, but these are incredible quality and well worth the cost.

I decided to pick this up on a whim because it is a turn-based RPG for the PS4. I will also admit that I have always liked Digimon although I haven't seen all the different series.
Gameplay is where this game is at. You can create Digimon, digivolve or de-digivolve them to great your ultimate team. Great variety of Digimon and pretty much any specific one you can recall is on there.
Story so far is interesting and characters seem about where you expect for Digimon characters.
The graphics look really good for the characters but kinda lackluster for the backgrounds and decor.
I am really enjoying it so far and would highly recommend to someone who likes Digimon or wants a turn-based RPG for their PS4.
Here is a trailer I could find on my phone but wasn't able to watch at the moment. I can try and link a better one later.http://youtu.be/iJZx96i1dNw
You can get a physical or digital copy for this game, and on another positive note, it is also available for the PS Vita! (Cross save but NO cross buy)
I don't think the US for a physical Vita copy, but it is only $40 whereas the PS4 version is $60.-

The game will always be fun, but I really only find it super fun to play if there's a group around.
On my own... it's not really my thing. I don't play online either, so that doesn't help.
I'd say overall, you can pick up and play just about any one and get the same basic experience. The biggest difference between Melee, Brawl, and WiiU/3DS is the variety of characters.
I know many will argue for Melee being the better/tighter game (it is), but the latter two are still pretty good and mostly differ in character selection. There's always fun to be had in Smash, but there's only so much content to last for a single person...I really miss the campaign. -_-

Funny thing about this though... I was in the beta for Steam Streaming, and it would let you stream anything that was a shortcut in Steam.
IE, you could choose to stream something like Notepad and it'd let you stream the desktop.
Based on how they are talking here, you can't do anything like that with Steam Link?
Otherwise I've been interested to try it, but I don't want to drop the money on it incase I happen to not like it.

So do I, my older HDTV had everything you could ask for in the US, multiple component and composite video inputs and S-Video. It even had a VGA input in addition to three HDMI inputs. It was just a 42" RCA CCFL-lit LCD cheapo I bought on Black Friday at Walmart in 2008, but it had full 1080p HD. My 2014 4K TV from Vizio, another Black Friday Walmart special, has just one combined composite/component input and will not show any 240p material.
This reminds me of my first real TV. I saved up and bought a Vizio 42" LCD. I specifically searched for this one because of the number of ports on here. 2 composite spots (1 had S-video), 1 component, 3 HDMI, and a VGA. It was a 1080p back when it wasn't as common. Cost me over $1000 for it. We still have it, but it's in a different room now. I... still really love that TV. I think it has a better picture (for retro gaming) than my current one.
I currently have a 4K TV, but I use all my classic consoles through a Framemeister, so that greatly helps the picture. However... the color doesn't seem perfect on it, and I have a hard time trying to adjust it by eye, so I've mostly left it alone.

I went ahead and filled one out too.
Good series of questions, although I think I put too much for the last one. LOL -
I picked up Bloodborne the other day. Really liked what I played but I suck at it. Lol
I also have that Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth coming this next week...
-
I have Mighty No. 9 reserved for the Wii U and it is due out February 9th.
*Snip*
I was excited for this myself!... and then it got delayed again. -_-
They said Spring 2016 now, but they have no date at this point.
I want to say I'm excited for a game coming in 2016, but I've become more and more disliking of pretty much all new games coming down the line. Nothing ever really delivers anymore.
Of the titles I want and hope do well, I'm thinking...
Battleborn (I want this to be great. I really do, but I have a feeling it'll turn out wrong.)
Dishonored 2 (First one was pretty good. What could go wrong?)
Horizon: Zero Dawn (Something along the line of cavemen fighting robotic dinosaurs. I think.)
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth (This is about to come out on Feb 2nd)
Twilight Princess HD (I have it... but I'll probably pick up and play again)
Zelda WiiU (Let's really hope on this one)
Star Fox Zero (Now all we need is a new Metroid that's actually a Metroid and not an off-title nonsense.)
Final Fantasy XV (FINALLY)
Final Fantasy vII Remake (I... I want this to be good.)
EDIT - I had more on this list than I thought.
