  1. There are a lot of Game repro makers on Etsy as well. I can only attest for 8-but evolution though since I bought their cart in person at a convention. Mother 3 in a custom box with paper slip. ~Quality stuff~ https://www.etsy.com/people/8bitevolutiongaming?ref=pr_faveshops Here is a link to their Mother 3. https://www.etsy.com/listing/189020732/free-shipping-mother-3-earthbound-2?ref=pr_shop If you search around, you can find more sellers that do it. Only problem I have now... There seems to be a lot of these sellers popping up now. Great to have variety but I would argue (based on pictures) that most of these guys either don't make the highest quality releases or they make super quality items that no average person can afford. *cough*RoseColoredGaming*cough* That is all I will say about them though since I already argued with them and other people in their Facebook page before I gave up.
  2. Sent the Game Gear out on Feb 1st, got it back on Feb 8th. cowdog360 did a fast and quality job! I'd highly recommend him for replacing Game Gear capacitors~
  3. Here's a youtube channel where they are mostly exploring the Framemeister, but they've also gone over some various console testing to show how to get the best possible picture. It almost ALWAYS comes down to the Framemeister and RGB, but sometimes they find some other ways that might be a bit cheaper. My Life in Gaming I would also highly recommend this eBay seller if you take the Framemeister route. Retro Console Accessories There are other sites that sell the kind of cable you'd need, but these are incredible quality and well worth the cost.
  4. I decided to pick this up on a whim because it is a turn-based RPG for the PS4. I will also admit that I have always liked Digimon although I haven't seen all the different series. Gameplay is where this game is at. You can create Digimon, digivolve or de-digivolve them to great your ultimate team. Great variety of Digimon and pretty much any specific one you can recall is on there. Story so far is interesting and characters seem about where you expect for Digimon characters. The graphics look really good for the characters but kinda lackluster for the backgrounds and decor. I am really enjoying it so far and would highly recommend to someone who likes Digimon or wants a turn-based RPG for their PS4. Here is a trailer I could find on my phone but wasn't able to watch at the moment. I can try and link a better one later. http://youtu.be/iJZx96i1dNw You can get a physical or digital copy for this game, and on another positive note, it is also available for the PS Vita! (Cross save but NO cross buy) I don't think the US for a physical Vita copy, but it is only $40 whereas the PS4 version is $60.
  5. The game will always be fun, but I really only find it super fun to play if there's a group around. On my own... it's not really my thing. I don't play online either, so that doesn't help. I'd say overall, you can pick up and play just about any one and get the same basic experience. The biggest difference between Melee, Brawl, and WiiU/3DS is the variety of characters. I know many will argue for Melee being the better/tighter game (it is), but the latter two are still pretty good and mostly differ in character selection. There's always fun to be had in Smash, but there's only so much content to last for a single person...I really miss the campaign. -_-
  6. Funny thing about this though... I was in the beta for Steam Streaming, and it would let you stream anything that was a shortcut in Steam. IE, you could choose to stream something like Notepad and it'd let you stream the desktop. Based on how they are talking here, you can't do anything like that with Steam Link? Otherwise I've been interested to try it, but I don't want to drop the money on it incase I happen to not like it.
  7. This reminds me of my first real TV. I saved up and bought a Vizio 42" LCD. I specifically searched for this one because of the number of ports on here. 2 composite spots (1 had S-video), 1 component, 3 HDMI, and a VGA. It was a 1080p back when it wasn't as common. Cost me over $1000 for it. We still have it, but it's in a different room now. I... still really love that TV. I think it has a better picture (for retro gaming) than my current one. I currently have a 4K TV, but I use all my classic consoles through a Framemeister, so that greatly helps the picture. However... the color doesn't seem perfect on it, and I have a hard time trying to adjust it by eye, so I've mostly left it alone.
  8. I went ahead and filled one out too. Good series of questions, although I think I put too much for the last one. LOL
  9. I picked up Bloodborne the other day. Really liked what I played but I suck at it. Lol I also have that Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth coming this next week...
  10. I was excited for this myself!... and then it got delayed again. -_- They said Spring 2016 now, but they have no date at this point. I want to say I'm excited for a game coming in 2016, but I've become more and more disliking of pretty much all new games coming down the line. Nothing ever really delivers anymore. Of the titles I want and hope do well, I'm thinking... Battleborn (I want this to be great. I really do, but I have a feeling it'll turn out wrong.) Dishonored 2 (First one was pretty good. What could go wrong?) Horizon: Zero Dawn (Something along the line of cavemen fighting robotic dinosaurs. I think.) Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth (This is about to come out on Feb 2nd) Twilight Princess HD (I have it... but I'll probably pick up and play again) Zelda WiiU (Let's really hope on this one) Star Fox Zero (Now all we need is a new Metroid that's actually a Metroid and not an off-title nonsense.) Final Fantasy XV (FINALLY) Final Fantasy vII Remake (I... I want this to be good.) EDIT - I had more on this list than I thought.
  11. Disgaea 2 soundtrack is gone. Pokemon guides double pending. Story Wars card games pending.
  12. I don't play a lot of racing titles, but easily can say Power Drome (PS2) was just super bland. The Game stop I use to frequent had like 10 copies and I got them all for less than $1 each. I know this thread is aimed at "worst", but this one was pretty bad if you ask me.
  13. It was a bit of a process for me... Game Boy was my first game device in general although I played some of both Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. Brother had a PS1 and I played the demo discs he had. (PlayStation Underground FTW) My first console was a Nintendo 64 and played that pretty much anytime I could. From there I jumped to...Xbox then traded that for a PS2 and also got a GameCube. Anything beyond that isn't really childhood anymore. Lol
  14. I was playing Yo-Kai Watch but lost interest. Picked up Shovel Knight for the 3DS and going to play through it again instead!
  15. Added a few more items to this. Removed everything that's been taken.
  16. Retro Advance still available. Miscommunication on it because it is priced.
  17. I've got a lot of freebie stuff in a marketplace thread. Feel free to look through and claim some times. Just looking for shipping money on most of the items there. There's a few "pay for" just keep that in mind. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/248045-fs-giveaway-random-games-controllers-game-parts-etc/
  18. So long story short, I'm cleaning out my closet of items I don't want or need. Almost everything here is free with the cost of shipping. There's a few items I'll have a price on, but most of it's going to be free in general. For the first three days, I'm going to limit how many free items you can claim. (This is to keep someone from just trying to claim everything and/or a majority in one shot.) Then I'll wait for three days to ship anything to give the free claiming people a chance to basically go to town on whatever is left. (Also to be sure I have proper packing material and boxes for what I'm shipping and to whom I'm shipping to.) After a week goes past, I'm going to toss anything that doesn't find a home. All games below have been tested and work. Any parts/pieces below should be in decent condition and are simply spare parts I've pulled off of items. I can give better details and pictures of anything upon request. AGAIN! Only a few of the items below have a price tag and most other things are simply being given away. I do require shipping money but that shouldn't be too bad. Final note!... Apologizing now for the order of the list here. There are a lot of random items, and I'm not putting it in any kind of specific order. EDIT - Added a few more items I found and forgot to post up. Nothing too fancy I'm afraid at this point. Newest items are at the top. BE SURE TO POST WHAT YOU ARE CLAIMING BEFORE YOU SEND A MESSAGE! Pokemon Black and White guide, Black and White 2 guide, and Black and White Pokedex. A card game I backed on Kickstarter. It's kind of a card-improv game. There are multiple ways to play, but basically it comes down to you describe how the person/creature/whatever on your card would win a fight. It need some work. (Also the company that made it went under COMPLETELY! LOL) Icewind Dale (Complete in Box) - It has everything with it, and it's all in great condition! I couldn't really test this one out, but the discs look very nice and mint. $8 I also have 8 spare computer power cables. Not sure how or even where I got them all at this point... (Nobody seems interested in these I guess? lol) Half a NDS lite shell and the buttons. Yeaaaah, I attempted to make a GBA Macro, DS phat, whatever you want to call it and failed. Here's the nicely painted bottom half and the buttons. Also have one of the speakers, the battery, the wifi adapter from inside it, and a replacement screen for a GBA SP. Also the screws! And finally... some music CDs and cassette tapes! Nothing overly wonderful here, but it all works so.... yeah. CDs left - Scott Pilgrim soundtrack and Metric - Fantasies.
  19. I would take $22 shipped for it. As for comparing the Super Game Boy and Game Boy Player... Super Game Boy is the cheaper one of the two and nice that it only relies on a hardy cart. But it only does GB and GBC games. Game Boy Player does suck for requiring a disc (Player hardware is cheap but the discs are expensive.), but I like it more because it does all three. I have never broken a disc in my life, so I am not too concerned with losing my current one.
  20. From my understanding, those adapters only use the console for a power supply and a controller. Otherwise, the cart itself is one of those "on a chip" bits where the cart is doing all the actual work. I haven't tried the Genesis/SNES adapter or the NES/SNES adapter, but I did try a different one that I thought was quite a bit more clever... The Super Retro Advance! (FYI, I just chose the first link that popped up on Google. You can find it at a wide variety of places and a bit cheaper on eBay.) It's basically a Super Game Boy but for Game Boy Advance titles. I can say from personal experience that it worked quite well, but it only outputs composite picture... It's a cool (and fairly cheap) way to play your GBA titles on the TV screen. The picture seemed weirdly bright for being on the TV screen, but other than that, it worked quite well and I tried a few titles on it. I bought it because I wanted a way to play the GBA titles on a big screen, but the cost of a Game Boy Player (the Gamecube gameboy adapter) can be quite ludicrous. EDIT - I actually managed to grab up a cheap(er) Game Boy Player from someone here on AtariAge, so I still have my Super Retro Advance with zero use for it. If anybody here sees this post and wants it, I'll sell it fairly cheap.
  21. Thanks for the answer sir! I figured I would have to, but I thought it might be worth asking since I couldn't find an answer elsewhere. Worst part of all this is... I think I actually had the right power cable at one point, but I tossed it some time ago because I wasn't sure what it belonged to. I also now have a PSP charging cable that I have ZERO use for. lol
  22. I recently acquired a PSOne for pretty cheap (Goodwill auction). It has a few scuffs but looks fine. Came with a controller too, but the analog sticks on it are... most definitely not good. ANYWAYS! The PSOne didn't come with a power cable, but I found I randomly had an old PSP power cable. It's the same adapter piece, but the voltage is a bit different... It's only 5V, and everywhere I look says 7.5V. I went ahead and tried it anyways though. It will power it on, but I don't get video. I'm assuming this is because it isn't enough voltage, but I want to make sure it's worth the effort... Is powering it on with the low voltage: 1. Safe for the PSOne? (Or did I already bork it? -_-) 2. The fact it comes on a good sign for me to invest in a power cable? 3. The amperage looks to be enough (1500 mA), but the voltage is the issue?
