  1. My wife and I would love to see a 2600 version of Qix! Was that made for the 7800? ohhhh and don't for get about marble madness...
  2. I'm looking for a list of updated classic games for the Gameboy systems. (asteroids) Also and game collections too! (moon patrol/defender)? Thanks....
  3. Here's what i have so for can you add more for the playstation? Xevious 3D+G Galaga: Destination Earth Missile Command Frogger 1+2 Pong Robotron Asteroids Tempest X3 Pac-Man World Ms Pac-Man Maze Madness Centipede I'm just looking for the updated classic's and not the arcade collections...... Thanks ohh and any links to someone's website that collects these and reviews them....
  4. Well I did it.. I Picked up Asteroids AND Tempest X3 today! Best part is: buy one game and get the 2nd one 50% off! Total cost was only like $18 for both! I played TempestX3 before... This copy was just to replace the one I sold years ago. Well I must say I really like the updated Asteroids. I only played it for a few minutes.. I really disliked the default controller setup. Pushing the d-pad up to flip 180 just doesn't feel right. Com'on you mean ya push down to thrust??? That's not right!!! Luckly the game let me setup the controllers the way i wanted them to be. up=thrust!!!
  5. Well it would be my Vectrex. If I didn't sell it a few years ago!! I guess it would have to be my 2600 Sega Tapper cart. Very fun game. Almost 7800/NES quality graphics and good gameplay to boot!! Still looking for a "wild" copy of Pitfall2! -Rick
  6. Out of the games I own, I still enjoy playing these: California Games Klax Shanghai Rampart Chips Challenge These are one's are awesome, back when I first played them: Rygar Slime World Shadow of the Beast Electrocop Blue Lightning Gates of Zendocon If you never played them, you should!
  7. My main collection is the 2600/7800, about 120 carts between the two systems. Behind that is the Sega Genesis and Lynx, about 30 carts for each of them. And last is the Colecovision about 12 or 15 games. Not sure.. havn't played it in a while. For some reason the system only plays games in black&white..go figure. The Genesis collecting started by accident. I found it at a tag sale dirt cheap. And a local game store sells mint games at very fair prices... So i guess i collect mostly for 2600 and Genesis....I haven't bought a game for the others in over a year.. -Rick

    Atari Sequels

I heard the atari computer version has two huge quests in pitfall 2. But the 2600 version only included the first quest. How about putting that 2nd quest on cart and calling it pitfall 3??
  9. I agree with most of your reply. Yes it's true. Infograms needs to make new games with the Atari "spirit". "easy to play, hard to master". Not just hacking old games with better graphics. But you have to remember there's ton's of kids out there that have never played a classic atari arcade or 2600 game. If they do it right! A perfect example of an updated arcade game is the Yak's Tempest 2000 for Jag and PSX! And i feel a perfect example of a game with classic "easy to get into hard to master is EA's SSX for the PS2. Ok' so it's not the best game for a game with Atari "Spirit". I'll have to get back to you with that one... I still wanna see a totally beefed out version of MM2 for the PS2!! hehe
  10. "Marble Madness is the most inventive arcade game of all time" Discuss. Every once in a while i think of what MM2 might have been like!! This is the type of game Infograms should be slapping the Atari label on for a ps2 release. Jeezzzz I've been wanting a new marble madness game for years!

  12. Anyone played this game on the playstation? How about a short review? I'm a huge fan of the arcade and 2600 versions. thanks
  13. The latest issue of PSM has the 2 page ad.
  14. I think if infograms is gonna use the Atari name they need to bring some of atari's classic games onto the new systems. Yar's Revenge, Defender, etc... Activision should do the same thing.. River Raid, Hero..... Or even better they should hire some of the guys that programmed those wonderfull games.. Just slapping atari's name on just any infogram game doesn't make it atari quality!

    Atari T Shirt

Or you might want to try your local Sears store. That's where I got mine. Expect to pay about $16.
  16. This one's easy! 1. Dungeon Master - Played this game to death! Many thanks to my good old friend Guy for showing me this gem. 2. Xenon 2: Megablast....The first cool shooter I played...What a jump it was going from River Raid to this! The music was simply amazing for it's day! 3. Degas - Hey i know it's not a game. But jezzz i spent more time doodling in Degas paint then both the top 2 games combind. Great stuff...well untill Dpaint came along...
  17. Happy Birthday Steve,Inky and Mindfield!!!! I'm turning 35 this month too! Anyone else birthday in September?? The only thing I ever played as a kid was the 2600.Now I have a Tele-Games 2600 system with about 110 games...plus a 7800 with about 15+ games...I gotta get a pair of them eurocontrollers....
  18. I totally agree with Ze_ro on a couple things: Yes the Lynx is an excellent machine. I wish Atari worked a few years longer on it. Eye of the Beholder might have at least made it out the door if that happened. And yes, I think there is some kind of magic poping in a cart into an older system over the newer systems.... I tell you thou.. the day I got my new Playstation and WipeoutXL and Destruction Derby 2 was fan-freaking-tasttic!! hehehe Well here's my List.... 1. 2600...no messing with the king.... 2. Genesis.....Road Rash, Sonic, Ghouls N' Ghosts, Desert Strike.... so many more.... 3. Playstation.... Gran Turismo!! 4. Lynx ..So many really good games... alot less crap then what was released on the Jaguar. And yes I am one of the suckers that's buying a PS2....Joy!!
  19. And that's all you have to say? Where did you get/find it? How many games with it? More info.....
  20. It's not an Atari Item, but back when I first got a tabletop Donkey Kong unit I spilled a full glass of orange juice on it!! My Father was very upset...We took the unit back and said it was defective. With the cash refund I bought 2600 Donkey Kong ... and another game.. I think it might have been Frogger....
  21. Yes, great stuff... he just keeps pumping out the updates...Anyone tried any of the 2600 emulators on a Dreamcast yet? All those games on 1 CD! I'd still rather play on the real thing....
  22. My favorite 7800: Mrs Pac Man My worst 7800: Touchdown Football
  23. I have a copy... but it's dead. I contacted Randy at Hozervideo and he said he can fix it for $10. A little to high for my blood. If you want i'll ship you my dead copy if you pick up shipping... it's up to you......
  24. Off the top of my head: 1. Pitfall 2 2. Combat II 3. A Supercharger 4. As many Supercharger games I can get my hands on!! 5. An Extra 2600... maybe a 2600jr....
