Ok, this is better than the NES version (at least for me)
-
And Amiga too.
You could even connect ST-Amiga like Lotus 2.

This looks amazing!

Could belong to the "grid" graphics with low details. That was the cause why the C64 version looked playable once.
Indeed with higher resolution but there is a 68000 behind :-/
Although I grew up with the Amiga version, this looks like the DOS one with unlocked framerate.
-
Seems faster than the 16bit version to me.

"While the PC version is somehow the best, the ST version is somehow faster than the Amiga version. But there is some inconsistence in the movement, making the game normally unplayable. Well, you could cope with that, and play it.
The Amiga version looks best and plays fast enough and with a consistent framerate.
The C64 version was too slow to get the feeling for the needed "action" of controls.
The Atari version plays fluently enough to play through "unsolvable" tracks, because you get the feeling for the controls better. Even if I hate that RAID Tune in the Title, the game itself is really marvelously playable and fine.
The best 8-Bit version yet."This version is even faster than the Z80 and feels like a 16bit machine (or even better).

Pathetic...
Reminds me of that guy on ebay who copied exactly an Amiga badge I made for my black 1200 and sells it...

I love this game, you did a fantastic job and now I need a RAM expansion for my 800XL.

Appears to be capturing every-other-frame. If you turn on the phosphor effect it'll fix the problem of objects disappearing and reappearing.
- Hit TAB to bring up the in-game menu
- Click on Game Properties
- Click on the Display tab
- Change Use Phosphor to Yes
- Click on OK
- Click on Exit Menu
- Reload the game by pressing CONTROL-R
You'll only have to do that once as Stella will remember the setting for that particular ROM. However, when John posts another update, you'll have to do those steps again.
Thanks!!!
I will but I can't play again this for now, it destroyed me

Try Bandicam.
At first I tried fraps but I got no video.
Bandicam yes! I tried this a year ago.
-
You are right.
I just found the cause.
When I run camtasia recorder, emulator runs slower

I have to find another way to capture it and re-play this.
-
You're welcome!
Good video - it seems to be running about 1/2 speed though. Is that because of the video or is the game that slow on your machine??!!??! Really? I just load the game and every time runs like this!
-
The game is aaawesome, thank you very much.
Here is my longplay

Mario because, there's no Sonic games on Gameboy or Gameboy Color.
Off topic.
-
Depends in what respect:
- Mario is a lot more famous worldwide
- Sonic is a lot faster than Mario
- Mario has more strength than Sonic
- Sonic can cut through almost anything when he's spinning
You can have a fight between Mario + Sonic on Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.
Overall, they are both heroes in their own games. In my opinion, Mario is better. Sonic is just faster, but Mario saves Princess Peach from the trouble she gets into numerous times. Sonic cannot compare to that. Sonic has done some good deeds, but he has not compared to Mario's heroic actions

I had a handheld when I was a child, Donkey Kong. I liked it for the time, well then he was called Jumpman and then Mario.
A few years later I saw Mario on NES. Never liked it.
With my Gamegear I then played Sonic 1-2 (later versions sucked)... Fantastic game!
When I bought a Megadrive I was trying to finish it there too but never had the time.
I will try again sometime.
So Sonic for me.

Probably this is a DIRECT3D/OpenGL problem with the new cards.
You can experiment with the .ini file a bit.
