      @DZ-JAY Kickstarter absolutely DOES work that way. There have been countless examples where if it is obvious a project will not fund, that pledging to be alerted about updates is extremely beneficial to those not only campaigning but for consumers interested in the product as a vehicle to deliver updates about the product. Example: I am still getting updates about the Dragons Lair movie that didn’t fund and I find it useful because I’m not following any other outlet that will give...

      @Random Terrain - I actually film theme park rides professionally (look at my channel) and we were given special permission from the park and were using professionally mounted equipment to do this. It wasn't just a selfie on a cell phone.

      While normally I would say that most companies look at "bad press is better than no press" in this example, we've already watched their Facebook likes drop, and I'm pretty sure this is the kind of publicity that will turn off potential customers instead of build new ones, since their customer base is already so small.

      xucaen - The point was that a 9-year old TODAY is playing a retro game like this. Most of them just sit on their iPads, XBOX, etc, and wouldn't even know what to do if sat in front of a 1981 Donkey Kong Machine. ;)
