  1. I'm trying to devise a 2600 tournament for me and some of my friends. I have two systems and most of the standard games(Asteroids, Space Invaders, Missle Command, etc.) I want to have people compete in multiple games~does anybody have any suggestions for format or games to use? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the tip, and the welcome! I'll try to get one of those so I can play Coleco without having the mute on.
  3. This was discussed a while ago, but I'll bring it up again. The naming-I think using the Tunnels and Trolls licence would be great. The people at Flying Buffalo, which owns the T&T licence, are pretty chill as far as I can tell. Its a pretty small and nostalgic operation, kind of like the Blue Sky Rangers. I think they'd be thrilled to have somebody finish the game. Just because we only have screenshots for the opening screen, that doesn't mean that that was the only work that's been done-has anyone been in contact with the people who worked on the T&T game to see if there was further coding completed?
  4. I haven't really been looking for the rarest games, partly because of associated costs. I have several games that are rarity 4 in the database, but I'm going to call "Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes" my rarest game, mostly because of the absurdity of the title!
  5. Are there any adventure/RPG games you've come across for the Colecovision? I'm thinking of something similar to Advanced Dungeons and Dragons for the Intellivision and Adventure for the 2600. I saw a Tunnels and Trolls game was in development for Coleco, but that was never released.
  6. Thanks guys. I do have an Atari switchbox. I hooked it up with some spare DVD wires I had lying around, and now the image displays fine, but there is an awful buzzing sound in the background. You said a coaxial adapter might help? Like these two? http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-3-Y-Adapter/16829790 http://www.ebay.com/itm/CBS-Colecovision-Konsolen-Av-Kabel-Controller-Donkey-Kong-Netzteil-/331500119417?pt=DE_Kabel_Adapter&hash=item4d2ef26579 Thanks again.
  7. Hey all, I was wondering if you could help me with a technical problem. I just got a Colecovision at a consignment store today and I'm having trouble getting it to display properly on my TV screen. The problem, I believe, has something to do with the AV cable that connects to the TV. Usually, it shows static, but when I jiggle it around, the Coleco log and title screen flash briefly across the screen. The AV cable I am using now(that came with the system) is actually an NES cable. Is this probabaly whats causng the problem? Would I be better off buying a cable specifically for the Coleco, or are there other more readily available replacements that would work just as well? Thanks, -Wedsau
