    7800 FPGA?

It wouldn't make the most sense financially I'll admit. But man I want a dedicated 7800 Fpga that takes carts. I was tempted by the 2600+, but I'm not nostalgic for that wood grain. 7800 was my first console, I'll take a silver bezel with pulsing rgb strip lights any day. Fpga preferred but even as a re-release of the 2600+ with the 7800 anesthetics Id be happy with. Would also be a more proper fit since the machine was backwards compatible at the time. One can dream.
  2. When plugged in to the dock, under "settings" and controller, there's a remap feature grayed out when I select my co troller. Was there a universal remap option that was supposed to come out but never did? Still being worked on? Anyone know? Thanks in advance!
  3. I believe youre correct. I tried the ranger (love that controller but) using it on the stock retron fw - while it works, it feels more like digital increments rather than a smooth analog movement. (I have not tried using my paddles on stock fw yet to test if it's the same story) Using the 2600dapter 2 however, with both the ranger paddle and orginal paddles, you get a much smoother and true experience. While it's sad developers have not had time to fix these bugs, I certainly can understand as life "gets in the way". Here's my setup. I really would have hoped for an analogue 7800 (with 2600 compat) I don't think that will ever happen so the retron will be the next best thing. If interested, I think atari is licensing a new plug n play called the gameststion pro or plus. There's rumors now that they went back to the drawing board to include paddle controls on it if thats your thing. But as you can see I prefer using cartridges.
  4. Hey guys, I had a question regarding paddles. I have done as much research as I could before asking. I recently bought a R77 with a Ranger controller. Everything worked well enough with the stock fw but once I got to the Community build, I came across some problems (which I understand are well documented) I tried the Ranger and it's paddle works only on the left side of screen. I tried original paddles and it jumps once you hit the right side of the screen. - So my questions would be is there a fix for this (some people claim they have no issues on the Community Build) or any fix in progress for down the line? - I also have a pair of 2600-dapter 2 and I purchased the OTG Y cable to test out. But is this my best and only option with the R77 and Community build? - Is there a version of the community build that borrows from the original fw that will allow me to run unlimited roms while still preserving the usability of the Ranger controller paddle? Thank in advance to anyone.
  5. Hey guys hoping someone could help me get the Neo Geo Core tunning on my pocket. I have the darksoft set placed in the ng commons folder. They are consolidated in a folder Ive called "Test" within that folder. The folder structure of all the cores are what the pocket updater has set up. Thats all Ive done. Am I missing something? In the pocket UI, I can see the JSON files and this error happens when I click it. The roms individual folders show but no rom files show in the UI. Any help? Thanks in advance
  6. I can't help but feel it will be a box that connects to a VR headset. That would fulfill the "not a traditional console" comment. It also won't be tied to any current console (such as xbox, ps4, etc), meaning it's not a "special edition" of those units, but a new unit. Maybe it wil have wireless controllers with the headset, and the box would be the unit to process the games? Maybe a new way to play the classic games (more likely new ones)? Just a shot.
  7. I have an old multi cart with switches http://www.atariguide.com/c16/___in___1665.jpg That I'm trying to preserve since I grew up with these. I'm wondering if I could send the cart to someone who can that they may dump the roms for me. I can't find the games anywhere (since they're bootlegged versions and some are new). Any help? How much would you charge for the service? Thanks!
  8. Hahah that made me laugh! Thanks for the input!
  9. Had this as long as I can remember. I was thinking of posting on Ebay, but before I went that route, I was wondering if anyone would be remotely interested in something like this? It's a 32 in 1 multicart that uses switch combinations to pull up the games. From what I understand, it's pretty rare. The label is rough, but cart itself is in great cond. Sorry for the bad image, was in a rush.
