  1. I just had the same problem. Papa (smurf) helped me figure it out, though. You've got to do a superjump thing. Up up. Try working with that.
  2. I hope it's okay to just jump in to the high score contest! I'm not good enough to win, anyway, and just play for fun. For the bonus, I had trouble choosing my favorite classic cartoon. Someone said anime didn't count...and I was going to choose Voltron, so now I've got to choose between Fat Albert and Scooby Doo. I'll probably go with Scooby Doo, and I liked it because of the music and it was somewhat interactive because of the mysteries to solve!

    Blog 1

**DISCLAIMER** By definition, a blog contains personal opinions, activities, and experiences of an individual or group, so that is what is contained herein. I’m not asking for negative feedback, and if you feel driven to give it, I ask that you pleased do what they teach children—if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all. One of our fish died today. Some may not think it’s a big deal, and it wouldn’t be to just anybody, but when a connection is made with something so that MEANING now exists—well, that changes everything. Dude and Sweet were Shubunkin goldfish. They started out at about the same size, but Dude grew quickly to three times bigger than petite Sweet. They shared an entire aquarium together, along with a few elusive snails, and every morning, Papa would greet them with the rise of their artificial sun. Every morning, they would come to his hand, greeting him themselves. Papa could put his finger into the water and the small Sweet would calmly approach him with her mouth to give him a morning kiss. The big Dude could not do this. Every morning, Papa and the fish shared greetings, conversation, and mutual attention. They didn’t judge each other or offer condemnations or scorn. They shared moments together and built meaning into their interactions. Love doesn’t have any place in the superficial world, unless it is to transform it. Operating under a clock’s face, driven by external expectations of what one is “supposed” to do doesn’t serve love. It’s meant for the living, and life can found in atypical places and bodies. If there is more of a connection between man and fish than man and mother, or man and another, then in that connection is where love is found.

@Flojomojo: I think those should be labeled "CIB". Everyone will think it means "complete in box", but in this case it's actually "covered in buttnuggets". But why should the buyers know what they're paying for before they see it in person? They love surprises!

  6. I walked into the room where our 3- and 2-year olds were watching Rogue One for the first time. The 3-year old informed me, "We are watching the new testament of Star Wars."

I think that when they become 10 or 11, you should show them Dark Forces the Game. You know the pre-Disney canon stuff.

  7. I love the placement of the ActionMax circle!
  8. Hello! I am posting three demos on which Papa is currently working! These are meant for the Harmony Cart with real hardware. They may not look right with emulation. Street Fight World has flips now, and is almost done. The backgrounds are different, too. Motu uses overlapping, single-color sprites and will likely be a combination of boss battles and scrolling backgrounds--like Zonic. Zonic has zombies! and uses playercolors, player1colors, and pfheights (Papa's new favorite kernel option), along with overlapping sprites. There's a storm in the beginning at the title screen; if you don't skip through it, you'll see something cool! Please let me know what you think, and I'll pass it along. Buttons *NOTE: I accidentally uploaded the wrong Zonic!! This new one attached is the correct one. I apologize! SFWDPC.bin MOTU.bin ZONICVCS.bin

Awesome! Too Bad it's PAL (and I have no money!)...I once bought a GBA with "20,000 games" ...Once I counted repeats it was about 375 Games...

  10. I made lentil soup with red split lentils. The soup is yellow. Delicious! but not red. lol

  11. So far, he's got a title screen with "Motu" looking like it's inhaling and exhaling with Orko as the selector for the two modes of gameplay: "toon" or "book". Toon will have gameplay that resembles the cartoon and Book will have gameplay that resembles the earlier comics/minibooks. I, personally, prefer Teela as a blonde, so I'm hoping that difference will be included.
  12. Macross is one of the games on his list that he wants to make! :-) It seems almost impossible on a 2600 but it will be a mix of Space Harrier II and Afterburner. The project codename will probably be Robobeard: Space Harrier III--The Space Hairiest. If you want a good Macross/Robotech game (one that understands the futility of endless hover, recharging missiles, and sniper missions with regards to realism as presented in Robotech), then you should try Macross for the PS2 (you'll need to be able to play Japanese PS2 games, but it excels in realism!).
  13. Here is a photo I took of the most recent game Papa has started making. I'm psyched because the characters are big enough to be able to tell who they are and it has that feel of nostalgia. (I regret asking my cousin what Skeletor's staff was for because, according to him, it was for hitting me on the head.) Can't wait to see Battle Cat!

I'm surprised at the hostility and swearing in this. I was just hoping for an alternate route of notifying someone I was trying to reach because I was told one thing and received another. I know he reads these...hence my comment. And I don't understand any of the dog crap.

  19. So, Papa and I have planned our first date in the past once we get our time machine. First day back to school, 1994, in the highschool cafeteria at lunch time. We will eat school pizzas folded like tacos with squirt-bottle mayonnaise in the middle. <3

Sad, end of an era. Our first VCR was a massive thing with faux woodgrain panels on the side like a Buick station wagon. It was made in '79 and we got it in '84. The first movie I rented (we each got to pick one out) was 'Dawn of the Dead'. I watched it 3 times that weekend. I think it was an RCA. Then 2 years later we got a cool Mitsubishi VCR with digital display and a remote.

That is sad...I bought my Magnavox VCR on (I think) Oct. 19th, 1984. The next day I recorded the Dragon's Graveyard episode of the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon and watched it over and over again.

Wow... It's hard to imagine that VCRs were so common 10-15 years ago... Oh well... Long live the VCR! Forever in our hearts...
