    Run Out!

WOOOO HOOOO! I was able to make it through to the first fireworks!!! After some cussing (I hate hitting other cars!) I finally made it and they were Atari symbols fireworks flashing in the sky! I used a SEGA three-button pad for controls, and thought of Chubbs telling Happy, "Tap it in...tap it in." That helped.
  2. I don't remember the year, but I do remember the first DVD we rented: It was Cabin Boy (I love the scene where he's dancing on the table...and the floating fat a$$ cupcake)...and after I took it out of the player, Papa asked me (knowing what my response would be :-) ) if I had remembered to rewind it, and I was like "CRAP! I forgot!" The first DVD we bought was The Big Lebowski.
  3. I like how innocent you were with your creativity and wanting to share it with the world--you didn't have the means but the company did; but since most companies deal in money and not coolness-for-everyone, they turned you down. Typical! :-)
  4. It shouldn't be too hard getting more than 100 points on Barbie for the NES, right?

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! Wait a minute... why the hell would I want to play Barbie? Nevertheless, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

LOL. I realized too late that I don't even HAVE Barbie for the NES--we have it for the Genesis.

  5. Ah, I remember that winter well. Off work for winter break. No requirements to be around other people--no need for brush, bra, or beauty. Begging bar stool and Wonderboy for the Sega Master System. And it hit me: "This game has unlimited continues...the programmers made this game so that I can beat it...I WILL SAVE MY GIRLFRIEND AND I WON'T LEAVE THIS SEAT UNTIL I DO IT!" And that is what I did.
  6. I would say a definite "YES" to Psycho...what I am wondering about is Beetlejuice as a horror flick. :-)
  7. The computer seemed confused when I hit "Update" before typing what was on my mind...

My mind works better if I ignore all updates...It's like iTunes.

  8. Don't worry, Papa! I just got you a CIB G1 Takara Megatron Reissue!! What goes around, comes around. A lot of these comments just make me want to cry! CIB 3DO??! MUSHA??! Boxes??!! Oh, my goodness! I can't bring myself to throw away ANYTHING. There is potential hidden in those twisty ties, 10-free-hours-on-AOL CDs, plastic sock hangars, cardboard inserts, and cat-food-bag string, not to mention the really important things like game boxes, mags, and computer parts. That's what attics and basements and garages and closets and bedrooms and hallways are for! Shame on wives who "make" their husbands do anything they don't want to do, and shame on husbands who listen to them. :-)
  9. Just won an auction for 6 Atari 7800 games...Super Huey and Jinks, sealed; Hat Trick, complete; and cartridges and manuals for Food Fight, Xenophobe, and...IKARI WARRIORS!!! all for 45.50!

  13. Mallrats 2!! Say, would you like another chocolate-covered pretzel?

  14. I read the article. I like how it talks about the idea you put into the game because it goes with how I have felt for awhile: that you are bringing life into a medium where it was not allowed previously. You are definitely making atypical-looking games for the 2600 and it is refreshing and impressive!
  15. Vedic Maths is the new indoor plumbing.

It was Ultima IV, Papa, and I named my character your suggestion...da da da daaaaa! "POOKIE!" I think the setup there was beautiful and I hope we can go to one soon! LOL at wedding crasher Star Wars guys.
  17. How about something like "Borets" for Zangief's name? I think it means "wrestler".

    Run Out!

Well, if it's a Testarossa with about 100 inch wheelbase, then it's between 2-7 inches smaller than a certain Camaro, Mustang, Corvette, Diablo, Supra... If it's a 400I with about 106 in wheelbase (and custom rear lights ), then it would be about as wide as the others. Before it's solidified about the cars being proper widths, let's answer a few questions. 1) What model of car does one drive in Pole Position? 2) What model of cars do the opponents drive in Pole Position? 3) What is the top speed of a VW Beetle or a semi-tractor trailer in Out Run? 4) What is the make, model, and year of the car in Bump 'n' Jump? 5) What model of drag racer is in the Atari Activision game Dragster? and finally, 6) What type of horse and what is the top speed of the mount in Stampede? I think the idea here is that it's a game and not a simulator. And, like Out Run, it's focus is driving...maybe even sight-seeing with your often-times testy girlfriend...and not racing.
  19. Getting ready to watch more videos on Benoit Mandelbrot and his wonderful fractal geometry! Take that, line! Rough stuff has self-similarity, too! :-)

    Run Out!

I love the camel! and I don't like Out Run. BUT! I really like your game and am looking forward to playing it! P.S. I heard camel milk is good for people.
  21. Made a Faraday cage for our two smart meters. No headaches for a month!

      Bryan

The meters are putting data on the grid wires, so isn't that the source of the radiation?

The radiation is found from many, many sources. I've seen that our smart meters are one of the largest sources in our day-to-day lives.

  22. The game looks different being played on the Heavy Sixer than it does on the 4-switch. Everything else remains the same: lighting in the room, approximate time of day, television...the only difference is on which system the game is being played. I was trying to find more information or comparisons like the one you made, Papa, but haven't yet found any. This would be good to explore more.
  23. Papa said something as me..oops.. I agree with him though! Try out his new game "Run Out" pretty soon, for the VCS (emulation if you want!?!)!!
