Mama's here, again. I was really happy the last time I posted here, but unfortunately i can't say the same now. It was VERY disappointing to see all the quarreling going on here... Call me sentimental but i think that the more people are worried picking fights and sides, the less we can enjoy the "new games releasing" vibe, and if we can't enjoy this, then whats the point? BTW, I've been receiving a lot of email asking about the games, and i'll send a FAQ by email to everybody, just to make things clearer, as I want everybody updated about whats going on, it's part of the new Opcode's policy.

Once there are still doubts and rumors about the games Ed and I created this FAQ to make things more clear and organized, ok? So let's go... FAQ Q: Can I still pre-order Donkey Kong Special Edition or Gradius Special Edition? A: Unfortunately not, as they are both sold out. However, once the games release in August and June respectively, you will be able to order the regular editions. Q: So can you put me on a waiting list for the games? A: We don’t have a specific waiting list for any game. If you are getting our newsletter you will be notified when the games are available to purchase. Q: Why did Donkey Kong Special Edition and Gradius Special Edition sell out so quickly? A: We offered 90 copies of each game’s Special Edition, and were estimating it would take a few days at least for them to sell out. The response from fans got us by surprise. Q: Since the Special Editions sold out so quickly, are you going to offer more copies? A: Unfortunately not. We apologize for those who couldn’t pre-order the SE, but please understand you can still order the regular edition once the game releases. Q: Why didn’t you restrict the number of copies each person could pre-order? A: We couldn’t because PayPal doesn’t offer anything like that. However we didn’t see any abuse during pre-order, very few people got more than a single copy of each game. Q: I missed that Special Edition. Does that mean I won’t be able to purchase those games? A: Once the games release, you will be able to purchase the regular editions. Q: Are you going to offer pre-order for the regular editions? A: No, the regular editions will be available for order once the games release. Q: Should I be worried that the regular editions sell out quickly? A: No. Regular editions will be in high supply once the games release. Q: What are the differences between the Special Editions and the regular editions? A: The Special Edition comes with a color themed cartridge, while the regular edition uses a plain vanilla black case. Additionally, we offered free shipping with the SE for those from US. Other than that, both the special and regular editions come with the same box, manual and label. Q: When I will be able to order the regular editions? A: Penguin Adventure is slated to release in April 2016, Gradius is planned to release in June 2016 and finally Donkey Kong will follow in August 2016. Q: I need a Super Game Module to play the games, where can I get one? A: Pre-order for the 3rd run will be announced once the 2nd run starts shipping still in Q1 2016. Q: So can I still order a 2nd run SGM ? A: No, 2nd run is sold out.

Hey, kids, no worry, mama's back! JK xD First of all I wanna say a BIG thank you to all of you, seriously, since Opcode is been reviving now I really didn't expected this HUGE reception of our products. I really believe in Opcode games and projects but i'm still getting to know you guys now, and, maaan, YOU ROCK, I mean it! Yesterday, with Donkey Kong sold out in just 3 hours and the other games sold out this morning (i mean, it's less than 1 day since I sent the email) you guys proved for me and for Opcode that you believe in us, that you trust us, and that you support us in our journey! Ed already told you about the amount of work we had passing through to bring these games to you, December definitely was not a vacation month, is was a F* hard month but now we are seeing the results, and all I can say is THANK YOU! To Opcode is a remarkable step, a reborn, and for me, personally, it was a huge motivator and a proof that you believe in my job and this was exactly what I needed, this prove, so THANKS again.

Opcode's organizational restructuring announcement
GraziGamer replied to GraziGamer's topic in Opcode Games
Hi, Opcode Games is going through several changes, we have new plans, a new release schedule, etc. There was a delay during manufacturing of one of the SGM components and it reflected on our shipping schedule. I'm currently working to get things back on track, schedule wise, so everyone in the same situation as you can get your modules ASAP. The French SCART SGM requires a different PCB and since we're trying to ship the 2nd run ASAP, we couldn't put things together in time, but it will happen within the 3rd run. For the next year we're working hard to not have delays (of course I CAN'T promise there will never be delays, like any other game company, but we're working REALLY HARD for that!). I prefer to surprise you with good news than disappoint you with bad ones, so I would ask you guys to please be juuust a little bit more patient and I guarantee good things will come in time! -

Random question: My real name is Graziele, but usually I go by Grazy, pronounce is Grɑzɪ. I am aware it isn't a common name in the US, so I was wondering if I should use Grazi, Grazy or some other nickname? -

Opcode's organizational restructuring announcement
GraziGamer replied to GraziGamer's topic in Opcode Games
Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I'm adjusting our calendar so I can give you a better ETA on our releases. The schedule will soon be on our website, Facebook page and Atariage. What I can say at this point is: it is in everyone's best interest (including our) that this second run of SGM be delivered ASAP but it doesn't depend only on us. We had a number of delays during manufacturing, but the modules are almost ready now. The problem is, we are estimating that when the SGM arrives Eduardo will be in Brazil, spending the holidays with me. Once he gets back to US, he'll have a couple of things to do, like packaging and preparing the modules for shipping, but meanwhile he'll be working on games, etc. Unfortunately I'm not in the US yet to help with that. But anyways, you can expect the shipment of 2nd run still in the first quarter of 2016. Once you receive the 2nd run of SGM, we can start working on a 3rd run that includes the French version. Eduardo and I are perfectionists, we're reviving Opcode, and we want to make it work better and more effectively. We intend to release some AWESOME games in 2016, it'll be THE year, but with this new workflow we're still organizing things internally and putting our schedule back on track. We want to put all pending transactions behind us ASAP [but it takes time...]. I don't want to set a date that I cannot honor, this is not how I work. So what I can say is that DKA will come at some point in 2016 but it won't be our first release next year. When the proper time comes, I'll inform you about pre-order and a solid release date. =) As for our website, a redesign is very high in our to do list. Being a graphic designer, I will soon be redesigning the YouTube Channel, The Facebook Page and the email marketing arts too. -
Greetings, programs! I'm Graziele, Eduardo's wife, and i'm here to make some announcements, but first let me tell you a little bit about myself. As you may already know, me and Ed got married last September, and what brought us together was nothing less than.. GAMES! I've been working selling retro games for about 5 years, and i really love it. I usually sell systems ranging from Ataris to PS2s, buuuut, since I'm from Brazil and Colecovision was never THAT hot a system over here, I'm getting deeper into the Coleco world now, but since i have Eduardo by my side it isn't being that difficult. I intend to move to the US at some point next year, when i hope to boost my second language, but 'till there you guys will need to deal with my poor English, so i'm sorry for that, i'm working on it. Said that, let's talk about business. Eduardo and i have made plenty of business meetings and we have decided to bring Opcode Games to the next level. Of course that requires a new workflow method where he'll be making the technical stuff and i'll make the PR/Marketing/Selling stuff. So from now on you'll notice that he'll make only personal posts and comments here, and I'll be the one bringing you the Opcode news. This is the way we found to organize and optimize things at Opcode which should work best for both sides, us and our customers/friends. With this new organizational structure, Eduardo can be completely focused on programming and creating new hardware, making some awesome products, meanwhile i'll interfacing with you and making everything possible to communicate clearly and effectively. So if you have questions, comments, whatever.. you can reach me here at the forums or email me at grazy [at] opcodegames.com / support [at] opcodegames.com Hope we'll be friends. ^^ Grazy
