  1. That's superb. I also got my first ever Mega STe only late last year and it's an absolute joy. Feels like they finished the ST line with this model. Sure, it's not as powerful as the TT and Falcon but it's a zillion times more compatible and runs everything perfect. Hope you're as happy as me when it arrives Steve
  2. I had both machines and both are great for a number of reasons. I still have an STe today. Fire and Ice is a cool game but not one I particularly loved.... but each to their own. I hope you get an ST (just make sure it's got 1mb minimum and a decent TOS, or just make sure it's a STe) Steve
  3. I guess this is a "bump" because more people should play this. Absolutely fantaSTEic work Peter
  4. I thought this was a nifty topic at first and then I saw the thread dates hehe. I'm using my Mega STe with NetUSBee with internet through my Mac so I can browse the web with CAB, FTP with Litchi, etc, etc Turn off the gfx in CAB and its fast and dandy. Telstar is a great telnet client for cool BBS's like Darkforce. Loving it like it's the 90s! Steve
  5. For some reason, I've only just discovered this ... http://coolnovelties.co.uk/coolnovelties/atari-st-video-cables/290-atari-st-to-vga-multi-sync-rgb-colour-monitor-cable.html#/audio_output-with_audio_output :-)
  6. Annihilator for me. Cracking old skool styles! http://ataricrypt.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/annihilator.html
  7. Sounds like it was the Super Pack that I got, darn that was a good Christmas. Thank you Atari ST, such a humungous improvement over my old 8-bit computer! A brilliant time
  8. ....and so the adventure begins!! Take it slow and I think the shipping will be ok. All my Atari's came via a courier and I had no troubles. ST's can indeed be used with VGA monitors, but ST High res. IF you want colour then you'll need a multi sync that goes down to 15khz but you can search here and Atari-Forum for those answers. BUT you'll need a cable and I believe BEST have these (a friend made me mine). IF you can find an SC1224 or equivalent then you may wanna choose that as the pic quality will be better overall.
  9. Yeah, both downloads are awesome but I went with PP. The game is awesome in high resolution! :-) http://ataricrypt.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/starglider.html
  10. Exactly!! Its like a clash of the Titans here. Ace ST dudes sadly not getting on. Fight for the Atari ST instead, I say
  11. Really? Why not lotharek 's Ultrasatan? Then maybe use Parcp - http://ataricrypt.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/parcp-usb.htmlWorks dandy!
  12. Yeah umm I've sometimes seen remarks on the forums and wondered what's gone on to warrant it, and I did wonder how this feud originally started! I read the thread you linked too, I saw nothing wrong as such. Weird how the conversation turned, perhaps they took it that you singled out D-Bug rather than any cracked games? BUT the topic was started with mention of d-bug ...... However, it has been obvious in the past that English isn't your first language and sometimes you might come across a little "cold" (sorry!) but I've never had you down as rude, snide or anything at all remotely similar. We're Atari ST dudes and should get on, it's a great community we have! In all honest Peter, I have emailed you in the past about certain games and questions and even dip switches inside my Mega STe. You've always kindly helped me out. You're a GEM when it comes to your own programs, website, informations and certainly the hard drive adapted games. Where would us Ultrasatan owners be without those games! I do appreciate your help and brilliant works and support of the Atari computer platform. Thank you!!!! I also appreciate the D-Bug guys and wish they would continue their ace patches... Heck, I take no sides because we're all running TOS ;o) Keep up the GREAT Atari ST works Peter and keep on adapting games and everything else you do. #appreciated Chill out also, its Easter and no work for a few days Steve
  13. Yep, that's a challenge! Deff going to try this when I get mine setup....
  14. As you know mate, I was on their last night. And yippee it's STILL up and running today! ;D
  15. I don't think you can top that reply, what a great choice of games there! Of course as said, it depends on what you like.... Allow me to add a few of my own onto this already awesome list: Wolfenstein 3D, Corporation, Mig-29, Chaos Engine, Lure Of The Temptress, Vaxine, Magic Pockets, Frontier, Stardust (STE), Galdregons Domain, Battle Command, Vroom, Captive, Stormlord, Annihilator, The Immortal, Well 'Ard, Blood Money, Escape From The Planet Of The Robot Monsters, Pac-Mania (STE), Giana Sisters (STE), Resolution 101, SWIV, Gauntlet 2, wow the list could go on and on... lol Love the ST, me! Good luck Steve
  16. Atari ST Review cover disks are some of the best, so check out chillichai.com listed here? HTH, Steve
  17. Wow!!! I'm downloading right now, but I won't get chance to listen until tomorrow after work. Cannot wait!
  18. lol nice one!!! I blame Wally1 for this. He started the thread and then hid away somewhere safe
  19. Welcome:-) 8-bit Atari games aren't the same as the 16-bit ST games. You will certainly find lots online - try Old Games Finder (( http://ataricrypt.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/pirate-booty.html)) Also, the Ultrasatan is an awesome choice and I certainly love mine, it's a beauty. Thanks to a certain PP we have a humungous selection of games which are adapted for devices like this (( http://atari.8bitchip.info/fromhd.php)). HTH
  20. LOL!! Damn you Peter, why didn't I think of this first!
  21. Indeed;-) They're a very insecure lot ...
