  1. Hello gamers, David Flemming here, the new owner of Packrat Video Games (no official announcement made here, till I am more ready to sell 'all' of the Packrat games). In regards to the clear cases, these are VGWIZ 2600 cases, and as per what 'cpuwiz' has stated they are not sold anymore since around 2006 (I wish they were though). Packrat itself only has a very, very limited amount of these left unused. The rest are part of already made games, some of which Packrat is not ready to sell yet - reason most games show 'temporarily out of stock' - something that will change summer 2013. Hoping to have the rest of the stock back for sale later this summer (not taking the summer off - getting up to speed with a new owner is a better way to put it). For now, I'm selling the only two games that I am able to do so, and as 'mkiker2089' pointed out, I had only two copies of Dark Mage left in clear cases. As of now, I have none (and there will be no more sadly), as someone just bought the last copy of Dark Mage (clear case) today. So simply put, Packrat is still around, with a new owner. I expect to be selling the entire back inventory later this summer, with new - yes new - stuff later this year. And I plan to provide the same service as the prior owner provided. More to follow here on the forums as I get things in order.

I'm the new Packrat owner, but the transition of game production is still in the works (I cannot sell games yet at this time - probably won't till Late January or February 2013 - due to PCB issues being worked on at this time). The prior owner did international shipping, and so will I. I think Jarett had an issue in that you were looking for discounts on the games and/or shipping. So the question I would have is, what would you want. Is this for personal use, or resale (I remember you asking Jarett for games to resell on your own Web site and/or for friends - I have a copy of his email - so I have this as fact as I know it). I'm willing to see what can be done, but I honestly won't do much as far as resale orders, except for certain folks (and that remains to be determined as I take over Packrat more fully in 2013). And discounts are not normally done, as this is homebrew stuff, and there is not a ton of money to be made in the first place. This is honestly more for the love of the hobby. PM me or use the customer service link on the Packrat Website if you want to chat more about this please (I now get the emails - not Jarett). Thanks. -David
  3. I remember 30, but that was a while ago. The slow ride down the hill (actually starts around 24 or so)...
  4. Programming can be damned frustrating at times, no matter what language (I'm working on Action Script at this moment - and sometimes I want to just scream), There will always be problems that crop up and drive you nuts (been there - and will return myself - PHP get to me to at at times). But when the program (game) is finally done, it feels a whole lot better!

I'd love to try one out too, but the scalpers will be buying the first round - expect then on eBay for much higher prices (I always dislike that). Hopefully will get a change myself sometime next year
  6. Your welcome on the catalogs. I've always like those little booklets. As for Mr. Averett, from what I read on the guy, he enjoyed writing O2 games - thus I wouldn't feel too sorry for the guy. He did Pick Axe Pete, so he's good in my book! Would be interesting to see what he does think of those doing homebrew games though.
  7. Got mine yesterday. Thank you very much Mr. Fredric. The cart and label look wonderful. Now to give this thing a whirl!
  8. Glad that I'll be getting the multi-cart soon. Been a while, but I don't mind, just glad things are rolling here. Thanks for you work Fredric, looking forward to getting the Channel F multi-cart!!!
  9. My is that way too. Oh well, not a huge mistake....
  10. Wow. I missed that post (oops). Can't figure out how you got it in without removing the door on the Lynx 1. On mine, it would not go in for nothing, and like you mentioned it was tough to get out then (I actually popped the door off to get it out. Personally, I'll use it with the door off, easy that way. Just how I'd do it - each to their own.
  11. I only have a Lynx 1... so If I remove the door it´s gonna be okay? I've tried it on both 1 and 2 lynx version. With the door off the Lynx 1, it is a tight fit, but it fits and works just fine. Just don't try putting it is with the door on, as it will jam going in (that happened to me - until I pried the Lynx 1 door off - then all was well). Bit tough getting it out too then, but as long as you are careful, it should be fine. I'm not worried about using my Lynx 1 unit!
  12. One thing to note. This cart does not fit in the Lynx 1 unit, unless you take the little 'cart door' off the Lynx 1? Not a huge deal, but I don't recall reading about that?
  13. Got my copy Wednesday. Been waiting a long time for this (nothing against eric, just that I missed that first batch years ago) - and its here - my own copy! Thank you Eric!!!!!
  14. It is ready to ship when it is ready to ship. Simple as that. I can wait (I've been waiting on other orders too - for far longer than this one). I've been waiting for this (EotB) for years (missed the first chance years ago), so I'm in no rush at all. EricDeLee, take the time you need to do this right, that is all I ask. Thanks!
  15. Payment sent for myself (ozyr) and friend (sirclisto) who is not on this board. Payment was for boxed copies, and was gifted, so no fee for you!
  16. IMHO - pretty close between the two. I'd put the Coleco a tad over the edge, but not by much.
  17. Late to the party, but I'm on board, hopefully. Never knew this cart existed till today (I'll be honest, I don't surf AA that often - but probably should). (on the list as #34 - Yeah!!!)
  18. QUestion of the day then. If I'm (and a friend) are on this list, but would like boxed versions (that are apparently coming out later this year), what do I do then? Wait. Let you now?
  19. As per the older list, would like a boxed cart for myself, and one for my friend "Jake" (who doesn't hang on Atariage). Looking forward to this....
  20. I'd be interested in being put on the list too for this Lynx game release. Looks rather interesting!
  21. Was there! Was nice to see Carl again in person. I did buy one Lynx game from his that I didn't have.
  22. I would like to be added to the list (twice if possible). One would be for myself, and one for a friend (who will not sign up for the forum here). He goes by 'sirclisto' if you could add him. I know he would pay the current rough asking price. I would pay that also, for a fully playable and savable EotB game. I've been waiting a long time for this. Funny thing is Eric, I know the guy you got the game from (he was just at the Midwest Gaming Classic)! I tried to buy his game from his last year (and he almost sold it to me at the price you paid - except he booked out of the show early and forgot to sell it to me). Small world.... Hope this can be done!
  23. Thanks for the advise Chad, but it was a no go (at first). However, just for the heck of - as you mentioned, the Micro Card uses an adaptor to fit the card reader (which is a 2 week old SanDisk) - I pulled out my old MMC card reader that didn't like MMC cards (back when I had problem loading it for the older CC2). Well, I put the MicroSD w/adaptor into the MMC card reader, and the darn thing brought up the card! :!: I ran the updated Mac CC3 app, and I now have a 100% functional Cuttle Cart III! Couldn't be happier now - thanks for advice, updating the program (w/help from your Mac buddy), and even just making these carts Chad! It is odd though: MMC card reader that will read MicroSD, not MMC. MicroSD card reader that will read MMC, not MicroSD. Now that is just plain weird!!?? But, I'm just glad I got it going. Thanks again for your help (and the Mac .app)!
  24. Thanks Chad for the update OS X app. Only issue I have now - and hopefully someone here can help me - is that I cannot get the MircoSD card to be recognized by my card reader (on a Mac or PC)!? It is a Kingston 512MB MicroSD. Package mentioned for use with cell phones. I'm guessing it may need reformatting (but I doubt it). Any ideas would be appreciated. I wonder if I need another special card reader! I had this same darn problem with the Cuttle Cart 2 and the MMC card for that. Had to buy a Sandisk 12-1 card reader to get the card to be seem by my computer - even though my old card reader worked with other memory cards. It is as if some card are not compatible with some card readers. So: Kingston MicroSD currently not working with my Sandisk© card reader. This is getting annoying.... (nothing against the CC2 or CC3 - I'm just sick of card and readers that won't work with each other). One frustrated CC3 owner (for the moment)...
