  1. That is absolutely true! I used way too many USB lamps in mine and it became so wild and loose it went out and had a romp with my HDMI port and created this:
  2. So what's the verdict? Was this thing legit, fake, or total scam? Inquiring minds want to know. I still think it was a total scam.
  3. For the most part I don’t deal with sellers having less than 99% feedback except on the occasion their volume is so low that only one negative brought the rating down and I can tell from the the text of the negative feedback that the buyer is the one being a jerk. That goes double for someone supposedly having a rare item all of the sudden. Not having standards like that is how bad sellers get to keep doing business. I guess it’s also why I don’t seem to have much to bitch about eBay like so many disgruntled people seem to.
  4. I straight up won’t deal with a seller with feedback rating that low.
  5. The towel thin isnt limited to Germans. Its happens every day at any popular Vegas hotel pool. Tourists go down on the morning and put a towel, book, or something on a chair to save it then go back to sleep and come back later.
  6. That would look so freaking cool! I can't see one of those couplers without thinking of War Games. It's probably the only reason I'd like to have one.
  7. Doesn't show up in the completed or sold items. I'm guessing the seller got wind of the actual value and set it as "out of stock" while he figures out a new asking price.
  8. Thanks! Somebody on eBay is a little optimistic with the only for sale Frog Jump I could find.
  9. Had an interesting garage sale find today. I pretty much never find classic video game stuff in garage sales anymore and Ive never found TI stuff. In an otherwise uninteresting one today I found a handful of Atari 2600 carts (Dig Dug being the least common) and a bunch of 99/4A carts which was a big surprise. Got these: And what might turn out to be a steal was this one (which Im not familiar with but appears to be rare): Cant find any completed sales though so I have no idea of its value.
  10. Nice haul! I love that soundtrack! I think I have it on CD, tape, and Vinyl.
  11. Too many red flags. Super rare item, seller knows nothing about it (but knows enough to start the auction at $1k, all sellers activity other than this auction is more than a year old. I’m also apt to think about it because my account was hijacked just the other day.
  12. Pretty sure thats a hijacked account. Someone should report it to eBay so they can investigate. I cant at the moment or I would.
  13. Display port actuall IS HDMI (except I think might not have audio) on a different connector. You can easily convert between the two with a passive adapter.
  14. Claimed! Thanks for offering this up digdugnate! I've always wanted a TI branded one. Speaking of, you should have seen the beat up old olive (avocado?) green and beige hand me down one I used on my original TI back in the day. It didn't have the "remote" jack so getting it to work right was always so fidgety....ahhh good times!
  15. I will take it! I wanted one just for nostalgia sake and picked up a very similar looking tape player a while back but a TI branded one would be awesome!
  16. Cost of a Music Machine cart notwithstanding, Id hate for there to be one less in the world just to hack together a what could have been cart.
  17. Please dont destroy any Music Machine carts to make these. I thought you guys were joking because they are expensive and hard to find but some posters sound serious. I would love to have a Music Machine cart for my wifes pure nostalgia due to her strong childhood attachment to the Album but I cant spend the kind of money on one that they usually commanded so the thought of destroying one saddens me.
  18. My wife loved the Music Machine album as a kid so I've since gotten a few copies on vinyl as well as some of of the other Sparrow albums (including Music Machine 2) so if there is any artwork y'all need from them let me know.
  19. Wow, what a small world. Around 1996 I interned at "Rivendell Recorders" here in Houston which I think may have proceeded "Rivendell Sound Recorders". I know they worked with a lot of Christian artists so that makes sense.
  20. Thank you for releasing the binary! It's much appreciated!
  21. Yep, like Bloodhound Gang said:
  22. Completely dry! I thought that went without saying but maybe not. I usually set things out in the sun for a while and usually wait a few days before putting them back together. Also helps to use compressed air to blow all the water too.
  23. Contrary to popular misconception rain/water wont necessarily ruin electronics as long as they have no power. Ive cleaned a couple of items with soap, water, greased lightning etc. I even dissasembled, simple greened, and lightly power washed a 90s era Packard Bell computer monitor.
  24. This is a new thing eBay is doing but there is a way still. If you look on the page there should be a "view it anyways" link where you can see the completed item you were trying to see. I think its in the "The listing you’re looking for is no longer available" text somewhere.
  25. It's almost silly to give one second of credence to high asking prices on eBay. Remember asking aint getting. All you have to do is click the "sold items" check box on your search and you can instantly see how out of touch with reality the high asking prices are. The highest sold price is just over $60 so asking several hundred is just what I call "Fishing for Idiots".
