  1. My opinion is that Id like the eBay IDs of the people who think the buyer is entitled to a refund in this scenario so I can put you on my blocked buyer list.
  2. Are those desirable and all that rare? I think I have one I got with all my uncle’s (who used to work for TI) stuff. I don’t think I’ll be using it but keep it around for display/nostalgia.
  3. That is freaking awesome! Kudos to you for turning a hobby into something that can be such a huge service to people in an emergency!
  4. What is your idea of perfect? Rare, Medium, well? I'm intrigued by the idea of cooking a steak on a cast iron skillet but I prefer my steaks well done.
  5. Im such a kermudgen..lol. My first thought was how annoying to have to read someones life story (in all caps no less) before getting to the details of the item for sale.
  6. Those posts are just clickbait attention grabs and all you do is give them the attention they don’t deserve when you watch them, Doubly so when you decide to share it. It’s your video isn’t it?
  7. Reminds me of this saying I love: No matter how hot she is, somebody somewhere is sick of her shit!
  8. Im curious, if you dont mind sharing, were they sold in a large batch/batches or just singles/couples? Congrats to you and the buyers for keeping these out of landfills!
  9. I know right, its amazing how a new Heavy Sixer doesn't have hex discs on the controllers.
  10. I love it when they do that with old hardware. Reminds me of this one:
  11. Is that right? Have these become desirable now? Might have to sell off mine although now I think its gotten to the point where I'd like to make sure I still have one good one left.
  12. That ad reads like someone who’s seriously overvaluing his inventory. I could be wrong but that’s the impression I get. I’d love to hear from anyone who actually looks into it.
  13. Aww man, if I hadn't just committed to buying an Everdrive then I'd be all over this. Love a good mystery! Kudos to you for doing fun stuff like this! Whoever gets this make sure and report back on what all you got. Hopefully with pics.
  14. Yet another successful transaction with FujiSkunk! Seriously might be one of the most reliable and reasonable people I've bought, sold and traded with. I claimed and paid for some NES accessories a while back and he held them for me till we could get together. Met up at the Houston Arcade Expo, picked up the accessories and sold him a 2600 console. All the NES accessories worked perfectly and its always great chatting with him. He also goes through a lot of trouble to bring several consoles and computers to the Expo every year for the participants to enjoy and always does a great job of keeping them in working order which isn't as easy or common as you think when you have that sort of traffic on your systems.
  15. Thanks! I had seen this one while searching and it looked to be the most promising. I needed to read it further and better understand it all and what pieces I'd need but it looks like in the end using that and a Gnobes I could end up with proper native resolution VGA in both 40 and 80 column modes. Not super cheap but not too expensive either. I have a curb find TV in the garage I need to check out and see if it might become the monitor for this project since it has SCART (super rare here in the US) which I think would effect which parts I'd need. Thanks for the link as I'd forgotten about stumbling on that one.
  16. Prices do not include shipping. SOLD! Vic20 Lot (Non-working Console, 14 Boxed Games, Unused printer) - $150 The console doesn't appear to be fully working. The red light turns on and I get a flicker in the video signal but no other activity. Boxed Cartridges (untested since I don't have a working console): Cosmic cruncher, Jupiter Lander, Mole Attack, Number Nabber/Shape Grabber, Omega Race, Pinball Spectacular, Raid On Ford Knox, Road Race, Seawolf, Speed / Bingo Math, Super Alien And what appears to be two copies of: The Sky Is Falling, Vic Avenger and Radar Ratrace SOLD! Commodore MPS-801 Printer APPEARS TO BE UNUSED! I got this in trade along with my C128 but I don't need it and am including it with this lot. The box is falling apart but can be included or left out at the buyers request. I wasn't told that it was unused but it appears to be as far as I can tell and is further evidenced by the tag pictured below attached to a tube that is meant to be removed before use. SOLD! Pentium Pro server parts $100 I believe these came from a Compaq Proliant server I used to have. I have no way to test them but I believe they were working when removed. 3 Pentium Pro processors (two SL22z 512K and one STB32 256K) 8 32MB EDO memory sticks (compaq part # 228468-001) 6 Processor Voltage Regulators SOLD! Vintage Pocket Computers SOLD! Compaq 2015C C-Series Pocket Computer (Complete in box!) $10 This was my wife's computer, bought new and barely used. When I checked it out it looks like one of the hinge covers has cracked so the lid doesn't stay in place. I saved the other half in a ziplock back inside the box so it can be repaired. Doesn't boot off batter but that may be due to dead button cell battery (usually Cr2032). It does boot on AC. SOLD! Compaq Aero 2180 (Complete in box) $20 I bought this brand new around 1999 when I was working for Compaq and got a deal good enough to make me upgrade from my Palm Pilot. It was the first color pocket computer of this form factor if I believe. This was the deluxe top of the line package that included a spare battery, largest storage capacity, and charging base with spare battery charging port. I used the pretty regularly and even used it as a music player storing MP3 on a CompactFlash. I charged both batteries and was able to boot to the setup screen from battery. SOLD! Boxed Atari 7800 Baseball (no manual) and Chiplifter! 17. I’m not really interested in upscaling. I’d prefer to get the best possible native output (mods like the F18A are ok). Looks like the C128 is an unusual animal due to the dual mode. I did recently find a TV with scarf on the curb. If that works I could have the best of all worlds.
  18. I had a Mac Portable that I'd intended to refurb but was really just one in way to many projects I wasn't getting around to so I took it up to the swap meet with some other stuff. Ended up trading it to a nice couple for a boxed C128, printer, and some cash. I'll probably sell the printer because I really don't have any need for vintage printing but I'm excited to have the C128. The only 8-bit computer I still really wanted and didn't have was a C64 since that was the very first computer I was exposed to. Since a C128 is compatible with C64 stuff I figured I could satisfy my C64 needs with it. So now begins the process of learning all about the C128 and what I need to get it set up the way I want. The first item on the todo list is figure out how to hook it up. Optimally I'd like to hook it up via VGA so I can switch between my old Packard Bell, TI 99/4A (with F18A) and the C128 on the same monitor. I did some quick searching and will have to do more but I didn't immediately see killer pre-made solution like the F18A. I'll do some more digging but feel free to point me in the right direction. Next up will be checking on multi cart or flash disk options. I think I have a lot to learn and of course AtariAge as always will be the goto resource!
  19. All that is some serious BS in an attempt to justify dishonest behavior. All you have to do is tell them next time you go in that they forgot to charge you for it and pay for it. This type of mentality is why you can’t trust anyone anymore and that is the sad state of affairs I’m talking about.
  20. I loved those when I was a kid. Im pretty sure I had (and probably still do) a copy of that planet builders on. On response to the other posts about the goodwill laptop: I want to go on record to say its pretty jacked up to have no qualms about coming in a forum and bragging about profiting from a thrift stores mistake in not changing you for something with what appears to be no intention of going back and paying for it. Poster said himself He was in there all the time. Im doubly shocked that there are significantly more people defending that dishonest behavior rather than condemning it. That is a sad state of affairs.
  21. I miss them a little bit (ok, well not completely since I still have a couple). Those Viewsonic monitors were gorgeous! I had some at work and the first monitor I really splurged on was a Viewsonic 19" short throw monitor which is actually still working after all these years. I had it in an arcade machine for several years and like a dummy I tossed the case though. I also still have a couple of those beige keyboard drawer risers. I think they've finally made it to the "get rid of" pile though.
  22. If nobody else takes this I will, but I'll give some time and defer to anyone who needs this for their PEB. I remember I needed one at some point but now I can't remember what for.
