  1. Good evening @ all, I just thought I'd jump into the discussion to sort things / introduce / discuss. I am the composer behind this tune. It was all written in RMT as a single Pokey Mono Track. WAV-Capture for the Soundcloud file done in Altirra, the executable fileis available at https://files.scene.org/view/parties/2015/revision15/music_exeoldskool/space_panda_disco.zip To introduce myself here, I am 38 years old, live in Germany and Pokey is still really new to me. I must confirm that I absolutely have NO clue about it's specifics nor that (to me) weird distortion tables. All I am fond to do is creating melodies and songs. I made my first steps on the forbidden forest of Amiga where I still protrack around. I accidently made my first pokey tune in RMT as Heaven seeked a tune for an Intro (remember the Horizontal Twister Intro from NYD 2014? That was my first rookie piece of Atari Music). I still consider myself a rookie, because I basically need instrument presets to work with (well, my latest tunes however come quite near to what I think of my favourite instrument set), Much try and error in there when it comes to setting things up still though The track from the Revision Compo uses both the SID Voice on channel 1+3 and a Bass instrument occupying Channel 2+4, so that's why it wasn't possible for me to use voice + arps at the same time (at least not in Mono Mode). At least I somehow managed to make the drums share a channel with the bassline without making the bass sound too cut off. At this point my limitations on knowing the soundchip came to light as Mikem helped me out massively by fixing the snare sound timing (when using in a track together with that bass sound it was off-rhythm all of the sudden....) This is perhaps one of the most disturbing things about RMT and / or the Pokey soundchip as it doesn't act the wayyou want it as a tracker musician from other platforms. Timing is an issue as well as some nasty off-tone-stuff when it comes to higher octaves. So, hi to all and I look forward to some nice crossover-platform chiptune discussions
