Did a replacement power supply ever get built from the transformers discussed above?

I love it since no one else loves it.

Is there an issue with posting a zip archive of these here so folks have easy access to these 20-column text files? If not, I'll post what I have.

That issue does bring IC issue to mind for me. Do you have someone local with a working unit that would allow you to CAREFULLY and SAFELY swap ICs? You could at least try the socketed ICs. These things can be terrible to work on. I worked on one for many, many hours over the course of two years (not the whole time...) and never could get the issue resolved. Others, not too horrible. These things weren't really built to last as long as we've loved them.

Well, I'd print a label out on glossy paper, carefully cut out, apply a thin layer of rubber cement to the back of the label and same to the cart (very thin), wait for glue to dry and apply label. After label is applied you can rub off the excess dry glue with your finger or a tissue, etc. I might "laminate" the label with a wide piece of packing tape (no seams) before cutting out and applying.

I'd put the old label back on, if available. Just use a thin coat of rubber cement on the label and the cart. Once both are dry, apply the label to the cart. Rub off excess cement. Or, I'd print a label on plain paper or glossy paper if available and then use clear packing take to laminate the front, apply rubber cement as described above, allow to dry, apply.

This will also allow emulation of the Steel Battalion controllers with standard Xbox 360 wireless controllers
