Has anyone put any thought to using Palace Station? They have free parking, huge rooms with a/c and are located right off the strip instead of downtown. Food is just ok nothing great but there is alot of restaurants across the street. I don't know prices but i can find out more?

Yep, pretty much all the carts i see with names are past owners, but hey you never know. They have game conventions though and most Atari programmers will sign your box or game for free. So they don't really have any extra value except to you, as most collectors consider signatures a bad thing on boxes, games etc.

That's a pretty relative term, decent. What do you consider a decent price? Probably best to post an offer and see if you get any bites.

Not much details involved but here ya go! Disassembled the keyboard & washed keys with soap (hand soap to be exact) and water. Cleaned the pcb with rubbing alcohol and q-tips across the contacts. Eveything else was wiped with glass cleaner and a cloth. Hope this helps. Ahh a note i forgot: i use an old tooth brush to scrub in between small areas and crevices. So don't throw out your old toothbrushes, they still have purpose!

I feel its also about budget. Getting into actual hardware just isn't cheap anymore due to all the demands we put on what we "need" to be able to do with our systems. Getting into hardware is a pretty solid commitment, i would recommend to anyone to try testing out emulation first, to really see if this is the way you want to go.

Well ste is the best route imo. Now days you cant touch one for under 300 but its still alot cheaper than a 030 falcon which will run 1000-1500 minimum.

Very simple, it's the lack of quality of the games. If the first game they ever saw for the 2600 was say, Hero or Montezuma's Revenge, then they would be interested. Since usually its not and more like a crappy pac-man or worse, it turns them off to even checking the system out further.

Why not just have them plug the game in and take a pic of the game play? Very simple that way then you can see the score font.
