They come in like 5-6 colors. It's weird they charge more for certain colors too. I went with orange cause of the playfield but green would work or maybe yellow.

If you want an older game like i.e. middle earth, to play fast use globalls. The only drawback is you will find yourself cleaning them alot, but what a difference in gameplay though.

Well the shape of the cart should be a dead giveaway when your looking at a listing. I am a huge fan of Beamrider but i find the best version is the 2600 actually. No blue border and i like how there's not a solid vertical grid, it gives the illusion of moving forward better imo. Good luck hunting, i'm sure there's a few copies floating around here.

I wouldn't waste time or money on those controllers. Better off using modded sega master/nes controllers. There's even a nice nes solution with turbo a gentleman is making here on the forums.

Look around on craigslist. You can usually score a nice sony trinitron crt for $15 or less, sometimes free! For a nice monitor, i use the commodore 1702. It has seperate luma/chroma as rca jacks but you can solder an svideo connector and it works great.

Yeah svideo should be main output used anyway. No point in not using UAV to its fullest.

Well portable 2600s been done so many times. Its like getting new shoes. Its cool but it still does the exact same thing your last pair did. So its nice to see but nothing exciting. I dont think its negativity your seeing just more like boredom.
