    Sorry to necro an old threat but I was searching for a solution to this and then I figured it out so I thought I would share for future reference. Push down just below the clip and it comes off super easy, best to do it with your thumb I hope it's still of use to someone

    Thanks 7800fan for the comprehensive reply I opened her up and the tape was securely in place, buttons work fine and connector has no issues. I have another lynx with a working LED so I will try it's membrane on this lynx to rule out of it is the LED control circuit. (the only other issue with this lynx is that I get sound through only one earphone [mono]) maybe that is related? Failing caps? If it turns out to be the LED then I will try and solder on a new one like you did

    Thanks for all the replies Ik picked up another Lynx 2, pretty happy with this one I may do that somewhere down the line but I have only begun soldering a couple weeks ago so I wouldn't feel confident doing it yet, plus the mod is pretty pricey.

    Hi there, I recently got a Lynx 2 and there seems to be an issue with the screen. It looks like stuck pixels but I'm not entirely sure. Is it repairable? It's hard to believe there could be this many stuck pixels on a display!
