  1. Bravo. I couldnt have said it better myself.
  2. Knight Rider 2600 from Hardwork and the print shop guy whose warm to Basic.
  3. It's not merely a mock-up video game. It's a piece of paper glued to the screen. How crappy.
  4. Yeah. 8-Bit computer version. Printed on paper. Glued to the screen.
  5. And how about a really cool 8-bit version of Driver while we're at it?
  6. Just go dig anyway. The most that can happen is they take you away for trespassing and let you off with a warning or a fine. Just use tact. Who gives a rip what some “city manager” says, it’s his job to say no. Go Hoosiers.
  7. I don't see why not. The AA Christmas Cards have been nifty and pretty successful. I think the question isnt so much "can it be done?" but "how much money and effort are you willing to put into it?" If it could be somewhat standardized where they have it programmed to where they just have to convert the picture and add some text then it would be a bit more plausable in my opinion.
  8. You have to remember these are regular Joes listing these products, not Atari enthusiasts. Compared to PS2 and Dell, Atari stuff is considerably rare. To us, it's quite common. You just have to be aware of the product and of the source. To me, it's no big deal, unless they are the type that thinks their "rare Atari they found in the basement is worth like a bajillion dollars!" That's when it gets a little obnoxious to me.
  9. I'd probly just hop in my DeLorean and blast back to '82 and hang out there. ....back in '82 I used to be able to throw a pigskin a quarter mile. Man, if coach woulda put me in fourth quarter we woulda made state. No doubt. No doubt in my mind. I woulda gone pro. And right now I would be livin in some mansion somewhere, soakin it up in a hot tub with my soul mate. You ever wish you could go back? With all the knowledge you got now? Man I do. I'd probly go back to '82 and invest me some Nylon Polymer. =)

I have a ton of these if anyone wants them.
  11. Yayy! more reproduction froo-froo from cousin vinnie!
  12. Try Lance at Video 61. I believe he still has a few. 651.462.2500
  13. May I suggest starting with the classic arcade lineup (Ms. Pac-Man, Dig-Dug, Centipede, PPII, Food Fight, etc.) followed by a quirky 7800 title if you can find one (Midnight Mutants, Ninja Golf, etc.) I believe those are the 7800's strongest points as IMHO it's a great system for home conversions of arcade classics, and in addition offers a few unique titles. Have fun!
  14. Wow that is actually really quite cool! It's in almost perfect shape too! I like the uniqueness of it not really being a prototype or a normal production cartridge, sorta sets it apart from everything else into its own category. Congrats!
  15. Let me know if you have any problems getting it to work. I'm happy to help in whatever way I can, so-long as I'm helping a classic gamer get back in the 7800 saddle : ) You may want to carefully open your controllers up and see what's going on. It may just need some adjusting or reinforcing. I beefed up all of my ProLines by packing them with styrofoam. Makes them nice and tight and responsive, a true 180* from the normal ProLine. Good luck and have fun!!
  16. Ha well count me out. All I have is a CDX. Wonder why they did it that way? Looks good for a homebrew but I dont think I'm going to go out of my way to pick up a regular Genesis for it. Cheers.
  17. Ya know what, if Atari is really going to back this corporately at a retail level count me in for 100. Good luck Curt. Let's make FB3 a reality. By any means necessary.
  18. Your 5200-owner penis envy is showing again, troll. lol, i do love my 5200. But seeings how i've never played any other console in this topic, and i own a 7800 and a bunch of games, i still say the 7800 is the worst console i've ever played. I get more enjoyment from my Game.com Ya know... I'm not even going to bother pointing out the obvious. It's your opinion and you're entitled to express it. I couldnt agree more about the 7800. It's shitty. Especially the unresponsive controllers. And with titles such as Dig-Dug, Centipede, Pole Position II, Galaga, Ballblazer, Desert Falcon, Impossible Mission, Motor Psycho, Midnight Mutants, Ninja Golf, Robotron:2084, Food Fight, Joust and Ms. Pac-Man, it just cant hold a candle to the 5200. Let alone a Game.com. One wonders what Warner was even thinking releasing a system like that, especially considering the compatibility issues with the 2600. ...and it's HOW big?
  19. ViewMaster Interactive Vision Riding off the Nintendo NES' coattails - 1989 The View-Master Interactive Vision is a hybrid console meant to bring the interactive experience of laserdisc based video games to the home in an educational format. The console uses a VCR (which is far more common in the home) to load games and play video (for backgrounds, interactive scenes, etc.) off of VHS tapes. The Interactive Vision console would then lay graphics over the timed video and control game play control. Because it was targeted towards children, the controller featured multi-colored buttons and a conical joystick to make it easyer to navigate. Innovations: First Use of Different Color Buttons on a Control Pad First console controller to use the colored buttons to designate different button functionality and make multiple button layouts easier to navigate. Combination of green, white, purple, yellow and blue. First Console With Built In Genlock Capabilities First console to have built in hardware to allow Genlocking (syncronizing and mixing various video sources together), an ability only available in expensive computer hardware (such as Genlock cards for the Amiga series of computers) at the time of release.
  20. Magnet looks good to me. Magnificent backgrounds btw.
  21. Ya know i've never cared much for non-programmer idea junkies. The "Knight Rider 2600" game from Hardwork's "The Savage Team" is the first that comes to mind. Even with the help of a print shop professional who was warm to Basic, he couldn’t pull it off and made his way into the ash heap of AtariAge history. That being said... and acknowledging the fact that what batari says is true, the 2600 likely couldn’t handle your game without extreme flicker, and that’s if you’re lucky... I must admit, your game concept certainly is not piss-poor like most of the other ones that come along. It actually sounds like it could be a fun little title. Much more involved than games like Climber 5, etc. Too bad it sounds as if you don’t know how to program. This would make a great title on the 7800 which could definitely handle such a game. I'm sure it would do well on the 5200 & 8-Bit as well. But i wouldn’t waste your time trying to find a 2600 programmer. Good luck!
