@ Tempest, im a bit late to this but on the first page of this forum you listed turbo and gorf as unknown, does this mean these games are planned to get a sgm release?
-
Nintendo needs sega to hit some more home runs for them, wii had house of the dead overkill, conduit, and Madworld!!!
-
true arcade gorf and space fury would be rad, love those rad creepy "pause" digital "pause" voices
-
does the super game module have any supported titles or upcoming titles that do the synthesized voice like the intellivision or early arcade machines had?
-
late to the discussion, but I read somewhere when sgm was proposed in the colecos lifespan that a super version of Turbo was planned, I would love to know if this is planned for the current sgm available atm

Flashback 8 isn't just a Flashback, it's Gold!
LutzfromOz replied to gozar's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
the only bad thing about it is this wireless controller crap, im sick of unnescesary devices that require batteries, atari is meant to be played on the floor in front of the tv damn it!!!, just got home from work wanna play some atari, but the damn batteries in the joystick are flat, now i gotta run to the store to buy some AA's... whats the point of atari being cordless? play it from 8 meters away in the kitchen? -
valid point, shame i dont really phone game cause my phone is a unsupported lumia, but on that note, atari could just call it atari drag racing, i confuse the 2600 era of activision as atari at times, but the again i think i read that activision was started by disgruntled employees who left atari, in spirit i do consider them atari
-
il buy one if it has some brand new original Atari games, cause that's what Atari needs, you can only keep re-releasing missile command, centipede and asteroids so many times, the other day at work on lunch break I was watching drag racing and thinking woudnt it be sweet if Atari made a modern version of dragster that plays like the classic but with todays standard of graphics

I had this gem on my telegames arcade classics cd-rom for windows back in 1998, played it for hours on end as a kid, well when my uni student brother at the time would let me on the computer, anyways after all these years i finally remembered the name of this gem, i personally like this break out clone as it turns the concept up to 11, but then again super breakout with a paddle controller does score some points, i loved the feature how on strike it how it had a mode where you would hold 2 coleco controllers to utilise 2 "bats" to play in single player mode

2017, and im still playing the dimensions, purely because of the sonic, simpsons, and midway arcade packs, im looking forward to worlds after seeing shots of motocross racing (possible excitebike fan remake)

^ looking back at that post as a noob, it could also be possible that the +5v line is faulty from a bad capacitor, supposidly from my research the colecos video ram is very sensitive to voltage drops resulting in lines in the sprites, if it is fixable, im definately going to go ahead with it even if it cost a fortune, as an australian coleco 240v adaptor is almost impossible to find in australia

Wanted,Battle of Hoth, and Hang ON for colecovision

acquired games requested thread closed -
Thank deity (I'm agnostic)for these forums, and its archives, anyways received my pal console in the mail today with an Australian 240 ac adaptor for the coleco, I thought my $300 purchase (some real mint games were included) was a defective console with video or ram problems because I was experiencing lines through the game sprites, river raid for one was unplayable, or my Atarimax cart was faulty, but I tried my 110v north America adaptor run through my aus to usa step down converter obviously, and the console works flawlessly. the problem must be corrosion on the Australian power supply, I'm taking it to an electrician this Friday to disassemble it find the corrosion and apply corrosion inhibitor to it, so relieved I almost jumped to the conclusion that the system was faulty

Noob question about new coleco games
LutzfromOz replied to LutzfromOz's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
that's understandable youki, but any of your mates have a copy the want to sell, or know if a phase 2 of production is taking place to buy one, id love to know about it -
excellent to hear youki, that sounds right up my alley a few minutes ago I posted an idea for a road rash spiritual successor for colecovision, after seeing the superb results of the hang on port

Noob question about new coleco games
LutzfromOz replied to LutzfromOz's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
why isn't it possible for me to buy a digital rom of battle of hoth, all the god damn cartridges are sold out... -
after seeing footage of segas hangon ported to colecovision (even though its not a sgm title but still), I was thinking a spiritual successor to Road Rash, obviously not called road rash, cause I know how extreme EA is protecting their intellectual property (galaxy in turmoil- an unofficial starwars game that got a cease and desist,-which is still in development, but was forced to remove any starwars affiliation). well anyways yeah, just an idea for the programmers/teams who are working hard in bringing more colecovision goodness into the 21st century, hell id preorder it or even consider funding the project

I'm waiting for edladdin to release his dongle that will allow me to use my coleco flashback controllers on the colecovision, plus I want to pick up one of his arcade sticks for it, I mean coleco brought the arcade experience home, might as well have an arcade stick for it. times like this I wish I had gone to college and studied electrical engineering to make my own controllers
-
Hey all, just really curious about the release of new coleco cartridges from publishers like, team pixel boy, colectorvision, etc. if sg-1000 or arcade ports are being released does the publisher have to acquire permision from the ip holder like sega or namco? if so they would get a royalty? and how much does it cost for a team to convert lets say a sg-1000 or msx title, or is it just passionate working homebrewers?
-
oh most def, you wouldn't wanna play a bike game on a wheel, sorry I didn't mean to side track, I was thinking of hang on because segas outrun was on my mind. I just really want that hang on cart in my collection with the box and all, I emailed collectorvision and asked if they were ever going to do a second run of it
-
Im pretty late on the whole super game module, but if i had a wish it would be for outrun on the sgm with exp mod 2 support, or more racers for the sgm with Exp mod 2 support, im kicking myself for missing out on Segas hangon by collectorvision
-
I always considered myself good at playing mortal kombat 2 on the super nes, but playing it at the arcade is hard, like a lot more difficult than on console, then again depends on the machines dip switch setting
-
T2 was fun but the home console ports i hated
