I would highly suggest putting the shelf for the TV in and insetting the joysticks. I know someone online has built one of these to perfect specifications before, lemme tab out and go try to find it..... http://www.atarimuseum.com/articles/philly...olecokiosk.html There ya go, it's a coleco one, but obviously based on the exact same dimensions and layout. While yours DOES look awesome, and I'm not knocking it at all, the on linked above is an EXACT reproduction of everything, glass doors, tv shelf, inset controllers, attached unit, no cables showing, etc...etc....

So.. final word.. Super Mario Sunshine.. Worth $30?
Sylentwulf replied to Jasoco's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Mario sunshine, for under $15.00: http://search.ebay.com/mario-sunshine_Game...1QQsapricehiZ15 Personally, I think it was worth $10-$15. I bought Primal for around $8, and thought it blew mario sunshine out of the water (haha, get it, water? mario has a water backp.... oh nevermind) -
And the award for worst voice acting goes to...
Sylentwulf replied to MegaManFan's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Grandia Xtreme on the PS2. WORST voice acting ever, BY FAR. good english and writing and all, just really really bad. -
New item in stock, lets you use either your dreamcast, Gamecube, or PS1/PS2 Controller in any PC with a USB port. It's more expensive than my other controller adapters, but comes with a button configuration program, and works for all 3 different system controllers. Also supports dance pads, and samba de amigo controllers. http://www.electricquarter.com/triousb.htm Also, as usual, tons of other stuff on my website with FREE SHIPPING inside the U.S.

Bump! -
The standard is any static image that's on your screen for more than 20% of the time the TV is turned on. So, 20 hours of grand theft auto's radar in a month, would have to equal 100 hours of EVERYTHING else on your TV without that radar. Basically, unless it's a game your going to be playing for 20 hours a week for the next 6 years, you're fine.

In order, I would have to say: FF6 FF7 FF4 FF8 FFX-2 FF9 FF2 FF1 FFX FF5 Never played FF3 since it wasn't translated/released stateside. Hated the job system in FF5, because by the time I deemed my characters worthy of using in battle, I was sick of the game. FFX was a movie about a gay guy who kisses a girl, no armor, weapons, stupid sphere system, just BLECH. I miss Japanese RPG's that actually HAD weapons and armor.

Big problem with buying a GBA SP overseas is that you need a WAY to charge the thing if you don't have a statside charger plug. You can also buy USB charger cables which let you charge any version of the gameboy SP anywhere you have a USB port (even off your PS2 if you want to feel evil) Of course, I happen to sell these as well http://www.electricquarter.com/gbusb.htm

Street Fighter on The Xbox...Live!
Sylentwulf replied to Starscream's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Which controller to use is completely negligible since with adapters or third party controllers you pretty much have your pick of what controller you want to use on what system. Online fighting games would ALMOST be enough to get me interested in the xbox. Of course, PAYING to be able to play online is always a negative though... -
Nothing else really matters except the following statement. The games aren't good. They're all been reviewed HORRIBLY by anyone who's ever gone near them. Ignoring ALL of the hardware problems, the games themselves just aren't any fun at all. Plain and simple. I could play snake on my cell phone, that doesn't make it overly fun or exciting.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Sylentwulf replied to MegaManFan's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Ugh, the second one was a good GAME. But the story, fairy blonde surfer guy, and STUPID HORRIBLE Ending and plot twists made this one of my LEAST favorite games in a long time compared to the ratings it got. Come on, it had the stupid "live shot of people walking around japan while doing a voiceover ending" that some anime has. Great game, BAD story. (and Raiden.... Come on....) -
handheld xbox could be anything... V box ^ box > box < box X carton X rectangle X-box-but-it's-only-the-size-of-a-normal-console-now-and-has-an-lcd-screen-on-it-handheld-system I think I'd go with the last one.

There should be an OPTION though. Like if you DO choose to do a corpse run (successfully), it reverses all wear on items, cures the "sickness" and cuts the spirit penalty in half. Now THAT would be a decent penalty system.
-
I would MUCH rather have a Gameboy or Nintendo DS, than a Nintendo Nitro. In fact, I would rather have a system called the channel f than the nintendo nitro. Ugh, that just leaves a sick taste in my mouth. What's next, the Sony slammer? The Playstation Power?
-
<cough> Carebear of Death <cough> Nothing personal, but I HATE having wussy little penalties for death. Ya know what mmorpg had the best death penalty? Ultima online. If someone else got to your body first, they took all of your stuff. Basically, if you die at any point in ultima online, you lose everything you had on you. I know they changed it and tweaked it and stuff, and it's probably just as wussy as any other mmorpg now, but at the time..... Asherons call handled deaths pretty decent with vitae, and item loss retrievable. And you could always carry "Death items" (high cash value, easily replaceable, always the first to go) if you didn't want to do a corpse run.

My only fear is having to actually LISTEN to the npc's babble for 5-10 minutes at a time....

And now for the White one.....
Sylentwulf replied to Starscream's topic in Modern Console Discussion
There are a TON of limited edition PS2's. And yes, there is a white one (a couple actually, the standard white LE, and the Gran turismo prologue white version) -
Parental controls have what to do with using someone likenbess in a game and not being sued along with 3 other companies? Yeesh. Yes, as someone else commented on that page, other companies are commonly added to the list or defendants, and are usually dropped fairly early on in the precedings. I imagine EA will flat out say "we're the ones you want, leave sony alone" so they don't piss off sony.

Tomorrow the PlayStation 2 enters the household..
Sylentwulf replied to Jasoco's topic in Modern Console Discussion
It's called fanboys. I've seen JUST AS MANY posts saying the xbox breaks and falls apart and the games suck, while the gamecube admittedly has good quality hardware, the games are severely lacking. Anyone on these boards should know not to trust the public at large when it comes to "This system is teh suxors" comments. That being said The PStwo is due out fairly soon (depending on what your version of soon is) and will be vastly superior hardware, while missing some of the fancier hookups I'm sure, as re-releases always seem to be, and the price will be dropped significantly as well I imagine. -
Which of these Clearanced games is worth it?
Sylentwulf replied to Jasoco's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Grabbed by the ghoulies, and vexx. Everything else there is REALLY BAD. -
The Portable System You've Been Waiting For
Sylentwulf replied to NovaXpress's topic in Modern Console Discussion
The problem isn't any design flaw, the games are bad, and there aren't many of them. I think the highest review I've seen for an n-gage game is like a 4.5 out of 10. I would NEVER compare this to a turbo express (which has awesome games, but was way too expensive) I would compare the n-gage DIRECTLY to the game.com -
Feel free to take a moment to check out my updated online store at: http://www.electricquarter.com I have some new tools, and bundles to save money on multiple items. Also will be dropping the price on some of my controller adapters soon, so keep an eye on them. I have a new Playstation 1/2 USB to PC controller adapter that supports a LOT more features, and is better construction than the old PS/N64 adapter. (And is the same price) As always, I also have tons of Atari, Coleco, Intellivision, and Odyssey 2 games listed right now, some boxed and complete. Along with replacement power supplies, controllers, and audio/video cables and adapters. You can also look through my re-designed Ebay store at http://stores.ebay.com/The-Electric-Quarter I accept paypal, cash, bidpay, money orders, and checks at both places. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

I don't think anyone stressed this quite enough. BE CAREFUL OF DUST BE CAREFUL OF DUST BE CAREFUL OF DUST It's HORRIBLE to replace a screen and have ANYTHING in there after you're done. And, you can get the official replacement screen kit from nintendo very cheap, I suggest going that way as someone above me said.
