  1. Doesn't really prove anything but he also boosted this one a bit.

    http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=3678854022

    No it doesn't.

For example, troutstreaming was originally oscarjossie (switched in 2001).

But wait...when we look at salmontackler, he has been salmon bay and before that [email protected] So neither of them were fishy in that '99 deal.

Now on this above deal, there is another fishy person there...this one idflyfisherman.

What does it all mean? I don't know. I'm just glad the one I bid on that I actually bid the maximum I was going to bid $25 even though I figured I'd get outbid. I didn't want to go higher as I already have a supercharger and the first 4 games in boxes (though all 4 someone decided to wrap with tape. :(

    Cap

Survival Island is worth like $75 by itself.. Party mix is worth a good $45, if you'd of won for $25, that of been one hella deal

  2. As mentioned previously in this thread, copyright protection is automatically asigned at the time of creation.

It's *possible* that the original owners of Thrust could convince a court to assign them the rights to Thomas' game to them based upon it being a derivative work.

However until that happens (and it's not a given - far as I'm aware, nobody knows the legal status of the orginal Thrust game. Presumably the trademark has lapsed [The USPTO doesn't show any video game relted patents, alive or dead] and who knows who, if anyone, owns the rights to the original game) the rights belong to Thomas.

    Period, end of story.

The reason why nobody sues Hozer is that lawyers actually expect to get paid. Hozer is almost certainly "judgement proof" (no assets that could be seized to cover a judgement) even if you could get a judge to award a non-trivial amount. "The defendant sold 20 copies, costing the plaintif $5 a copy. Judgement for the plaintif $100".

    Legal fees, $2000...

However, the US government is busy trying to up the ante as far as criminal prosecution of pirates. Now certainly getting a DA interested in something like this is a whole 'nother kettle of fish, but if I was someone like Randy, that's where I'd start getting worried...

Bubba doesn't care if you're Christian.

yup.. lets have the DA's let the rapist and murder's and the child abusing Priest alone and go after the Pirates.. Time well spent

  3. I agree, Tigervision carts have ALWAYS been my favorite ever since I first saw Jawbreaker and KingKong.. Im lucky enough to have all of em:) the colors are awsome.. I use to paint cars for a living and have a good eye for color.. the ornge, red, and blue is awsome shades.. somthing about em,, they look good enough to eat:) and the artwork was always tastefull and 'fun'

  4. its all part of the 'hunt'

That is fair enough, but consider this:-

People live in different time zones, why should someone benefit from finding an auction that they can attempt a side deal on, before others can even see it?

    That's just plain wrong.

well,, what goes around comes around,,in other words.. different times zones will have the advantage at different times.. me personally, I rarly try to side deal.. most often I will alert the person to the rarity and inform them to let it ride.. last side deal I did was on a 5200 assortment that had 2 comp pros in it with a 2600-5200 adapter.. I ended up closing the deal at $65,, than someone informed him of the comp pros.. I was honest and told the guy they go for around $50 fully tested and warranted,, he was ok with that.. and closed the deal for selling them 'as is'..

  5. I just bought my first tv yesterday

What did you use previously to play your Atari 2600?

I'm seen that car commercial with the pac-man theme. It's pretty funny' date=' and less annoying than most car ads but still they play it to death.

I've never seen that hummer ad, I'll have to check it out.[/quote']

  6. when I was 13 I had two jobs,, Hired farm hand for $2.75 an hour (that was REAL work) and carpenter apprenti for $5 an hour (huge money back than and when you were only 13) Whats kewl is I have saved soo much money over the years with what I learned as the carpenter apprentice.. I could still build my own house if I wanted to. I used to work with a Master Carpenter for Europe, We built one house a year, just me and him (we hired out the foundation work, and about half of the plumbing and heating, and about 1/3 of the electrical, but we did all the rest, everything from shingles to drywall!) good work will keep you out of trouble.. back than, ther was no way my folks would buy me a 200 dollar gaming system (that would of been the 5200 :ponder: , god damn am I old)
