    I has same thing happen.. like a month ago with my post office,, my postman was giving me crap all year about sending atari games via media mail.. one time even spent 20 mins resurching it while i waited! (only one guy at the post office would give me a hazzel, for a year all the other workers had no prob with it). He was real nasty about it,, I even called the reginial office in Chicago,, the 'specialist' ther told me that for ANYTHING to be considered media mail, it had to be for educational purposes! hmm.. dosnt really say that in the manual? well,, I finally just gave up,, usually first class is cheaper when sending out just a game or two anyway. Maybe my post office worker 'dude' just wanted revenge on me for the several times Ive walked up to his window carring a garbage page with 300 individially packaged atari games;)

    so how does it work?  you push button A to select 1-2-3 (slot column) and button B to select 1-8 (slot row), then button C is like a power on/off, which switches from the startup screen ROM to whatever game in the slot you have selected?

     

    Exactly correct;) the game display is basically just that.. instead of static when ther is no cart loaded, you get the imagic screen.. wouldnt it be interesting if it has a Brazilian style Pal:) or some other 'all format' chip??

    I have seen one of those on ebay before, but I never got a chance to bid on it.  with the way prices are going through the roof on ebay, I bet if another mint shape unit went up for sale it would hit over $400.00.

    The last auction that I saw on ebay was for the unit pictured above, and it went for 445.. Mine is real clean,, I dont think I'd ever sell it for I know I wouldnt even take 600 for mine.. as far as the pal/ntsc thing.. the only 'part' of the system that would be either pal or ntsc would be the initial start up menu.. all the rest is just pass-tru for the carts.. its the atari unit you install at the bottom that does the broadcasting.. so.. if ther is a differnece in em, that would prob be the ONLY difference as far as design,, the on-board rom for the menu.. compair to a router,, it dosnt matter if its talking to mac, windows, unix, etc,, it just passes thru..

    I got a reply from the seller.. he sent me a letter to mimic ebays official 'threat' letter,, trying to say I was 'reported to ebay for slander'! What an ASSHOLE.. i very rarly curs when typing but this idiot deserved it! I basically just pointed to this forum, didnt say much.. but what a idiot! deffinetly never going to bid on that dudes auctions
