Sonic's design was based on old cartoon characters like Oswald the Rabbit, probably better than he would without the shoes, he's too fast to see with the naked eye, they're cute little water critters designed to cash in on the virtual pet craze of the late 90's, and because it looks cool.

I've read some scholastic books on Sonic, Mario, and LoZ.

I also tried reading the first Resident Evil book, but couldn't do it.

I've read a number of Battletech and Mechwarrior books too (though I guess only the Mechwarrior ones really count).

 

 

And if comics count, Metal Gear Solid, Doom (RIP AND TEAR!), Halo, and, um, a bit of Kingdom Hearts.

Though one has to wonder where the heck Samus Aran was? I mean, if she was around rather than some whimpy dude in a letter jacket, Mother Brain would have been taken care of at the beginning of the series.

Face it, Square can't write. If they make a relatable main character, it's an accident.

No no, Cloud is a brilliant, totally relatable character...for the target audience. Cloud is like almost every high-school nerd, the tyrant of his own little, carefully crafted, totally on-his-own-terms world. Then he gets thrusted out in the real world to find he's a big fish in a little, little pond. But, if you face your demons and beat your own short-comings, you can save the world and your childhood girlfriend will fall in love with you (and, dude, she's TOTALLY stacked now).

1, because 2's difficulty plateaued at times. If I have to fight that boost gaurdian one more time...

 

All of Prime's bosses had a trick to them. I can defeat Ridley with the wave-beam combo after he loses his wings (and if you use uncharged plasma beam shots, it takes some time for him to lose his wings), and the Omega Pirate you can defeat easily if you stick to his left side, jump over the waves, and ignore the other pirates he calls. Echoes, sometimes you usually just have to be really good, or really lucky.
