  1. OH! i almost forgot one of my all-time favorites: The SpaceShuttle simulator!!!!!!!

That game.....my brother and I would play over and over and over again as kids man.....we'd make a blanket fort and pretend it was the shuttle cockpit lol

Star Raiders as well...with the goofy keypad thingy. loved that one too.

I may never start my XBox again after all this lmao!!! I have a lot of playing and remembering good times to do :)

i remember sitting on the living room floor with my brother eeeearly in the mornings with those paddle controllers playing against each other lol

  3. Totally understandable and want it to go to a good home. They made 3 wood grain systems. A Heavy Sixer. Which has thick molding, 6 chrome switches, and heavy rf shielding. Light Sixers have the 6 switches and heavy rf shielding, but a streamlined and thin molding base. And the 4 switch woodys is obvious.

how would I know the difference?

  4. No problem!! If It was me, I'd hang onto the Swordquest Waterworld. It looks In great shape and all complete. I posted on another thread you did mentioning you got your 2600 out of storage. Which model do you have?

I'm not sure to be honest. It's one of the ones with the fake wood finish and the spring-loaded reset switches, etc. I know my brother and I got it when they first came out or shortly thereafter?

As far as the swordquest game, it's more valuable to a collector than it is to me, as there are several games for the 2600 that I enjoy playing much more (Adventure, crystal castles, pitfall, etc)

  5. Long story short. Several months ago a user here showed everyone here an obvious fake game he so called claimed it was real. It turned out to be the most epic thread in Atariage history that is now locked and retired for good. This has nothing directed towards you. I gave a great example in regards to Wongojack's post and it gave me memories of it. The photos were from the user who hadvavfake Incredible Hulk. So you are fine and keep doing what you are doing. And welcome to Atariage as well!! :)

ah okay...thanks lol....I guess it makes sense that I missed the references. lol

  6. Welcome aboard!! :) Great to hear your 2600 is still working! These consoles are really durable and last practically forever. Hope you enjoy everything here. Any questions you have. That's what the forums are for. You have thousands of retrogamers to help you out. :)

you know...i was considering selling all my atari stuff earlier today...but now...I just dont know if I can part with it lol

It's amazing how long this thing has lasted....some of it up in a hot attic, some in a closet, at LEAST 4 or 5 hurricanes, etc etc.

They just dont make em like they used to anymore lol

  7. Welcome and glad to hear someone else fired up an old flame!

What are some of the other favorites in your collection? You can check rarity here at Atari Age too, to see if you might happen to have something a little harder to find like Pengo, Swordquest Waterworld, Crazy Climber, Chase the Chuckwagon, etc.

    I have swordquest waterworld.

I dont know...i think I'm a little more excited than i should be lol

Played Defender for like 2 days straight, then my old favorite PITFALL, some Star Wars the Arcade Game, and Q*Bert lol

  8. Sometimes new members come to AtariAge just to offer a rare item that ends up not being real. Many here are wary of such situations and stay away if you cannot provide some sort of references (ebay/gamegavel/digipress account).

You can usually keep the hecklers away by posting pictures (nice edit), providing references, listing your geo location, and explaining how you will accept payment that ensures the buyer is protected. A simple option is to offer a PayPal invoice which then covers both of you with PayPal' full set of guarantees.

Something else you will probably be asked is if you are willing to ship internationally, so begin thinking about that.

Thanks for the advice. I was more asking for a general ballpark figure of the value of the game, although I AM willing to sell it.

Ive dealt with paypal in the past (guitar purchases) and decided to NOT use them, as they are a pain. However, I will be posting an additional picture that proves it is real.

  9. Here we go again . A new member , no photos , no history I will take it

I don't take your meaning. Yes, I'm a new member here...I did not realize that it was a problem for someone to be new??

Edited the initial post with picture....sorry for my faux pas.
