  1. I got the "offical Atari Instructions" from super_stonic, a user from the Retrograding Roundtable user's board. He gave it too me freely, so I assume I can send it out freedly as well. PM me with your email address and I will send it to you.

  3. I "order" one for the low low cost of: 15-4K EPROMs 1-16K EPROM 15-32K EPROMs 5-5200 32K PCBs 1-2600 16K PCB FYI- I think you mean the cartridge is protected by federal law. I say this because its illegal for the military to actually operate with in the boundaries of the United States. And since martial law can only be declared by the President of the United States in a national emergency, thus allowing the military to perform operations in the US, by saying "Protected my martial law..." means its not protected at all. (and yes, I know it was just a joke...and quite funny at that!)
  4. I will definately buy one! Or buy $x from the Atari Store to get one. Except for the offense to the ladies, I can't imagine how a lady with her dress falling off, high heels, and straddling a 6'er with a huge smile on her face could ever cause such negative press!!!
  5. How would I load a list of bytes that graphically represent a number and then store them in a place so that later, when I write data to the PF registers, it will display the correct number. Basically representing changeing digits for the score. For example, "tens" is a list of 8 bytes that store the number 1. Then, I want to copy this list of bytes into the section of data that I am going use to display the entire Playfield Register with the number 1. Does this even make sense?
  6. Andre... You mean you lost another Atari Cartridge?
  7. Its funny you should ask that question... people ask me that all the time, (How long will we be in Iraq/Afghanistan?) And I simply respond with, "Well, World War II ended in 1947??? And we still are in Germany, right?" Sometime before the end of January, and I should be able to get over there. As far as Cuba, I might can get it into Guantanamo Bay NAS, Cuba... the US Naval Air Station...it is quite safe on base I assure you. The hardest part (and I haven't even been there yet) would be Antarctica, but there is a small chance of getting it there now. It is summer. And thats when the US normally sends airplanes to actually land there.
  8. Yea, I realized the audience I was aiming for was here on the "Marketplace" list, not info on the 2600. Sorry about that... Thanx for all the info!!! God bless the internet!
  9. Of course, the US military has some of the finest trained aircrews in the world. He would definately have a safe trip!!!
  10. This is what I would like...any sellers???
  11. There's a guy who posted a "clear ATARI cartridge" that I think you should consider. Maybe make it double as Christmas Ornament so it can be proudly displayed on any Christmas tree. And if you go with the clear concept, you could plug a few Christmas lights in it so it could lite up on the tree or us the power from the ATARI to light up in the VCS slot... what do you think?
  12. I'm in... I am in St Louis Missouri, the home of the ARCH. I might be able to get it into Afghanistan and Iraq, via my connections...
  13. I will happily take 1, 2, a few, all of them off your hands. You don't even have to pay me
  14. Does this exist? Does anyone have one? Does anyone know where I can get one, or at least the schematic to build one? thanx! (In case the picture doesn't show up, its the computer keyboard for the Atari 2600.)
  15. I broke out my ATARI 2600 a few days ago. I still have a nicely working copy of Tooth Protectors that my Dad got when I was a kid. Never thought anyone would pay so much for one!
  16. Ahhh.. finally!!! Fights on!!! Andrew has the lead and we're back in the game!!! Keep it coming ANDREW!!!
  17. When the light is on? 1, yes, set, on, do something, I HAVE AN IDEA!!! When the light is off? 0, no, notset, do nothing, I HAVE NO IDEA!!!
  18. I am starting with a simple moving block. Step 1: Draw the screen, draw the player, move the player with the joystick, shoot the missile. Step 2: Two moving players and missiles. Step 3: Paddle movement with missiles. Step 4: Keypad input with missiles. Step 5: Joystick and keypad. Step 6: Design first game. I will post my code for anyone who wants to help develop it...
  19. I would love a course! It's been 10 years since I took M68000...
  20. It's not the process of reverse engineering I am doing...its trying to figure out how to do joystick control, collision detection, graphics, etc... from a program already done. I'm trying to learn from the code, not really re-engineer the game...
  21. Imagine my excitement when I found this website many days from the last time I played Atari! It could only be surpassed by my finding this forum to learn about 2600 programming. I have purchsed a few books on the 6502 and printed every page of the tutorial in an effort to learn the language only to hit a solid brick wall named Albert who is preventing Andrew from continuing my 2600 education! Well, until Andrew wishes to continue, I guess I will continue to "reverse engineer" Combat and Adventure to learn the more advanced topics like joystick control and collision detection...
