Nope, not a single Death Star to be found. I ain't sayin' what Thrawn *does* use, but it's more clever than 'Giant Space Lasers'.

I agree that the 'problem' that the New Order dreamt up to terrorize the galaxy was due to just plain old lazy writing. They could have done *anything* else and it would have been more interesting (like some of the things in the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn).

 

BTW, if you haven't yet read the Thrawn Trilogy, it's really, really good. I hope that the next movies nick some ideas/characters from it, as it has lots of good ones.
